WELCOME TO THE 2017 TOMBALL LIBERTY BELLES & BELLE CHIMES! Thank you for being a part of the Tomball Liberty Belles organization! Drill Team and Cheerleading provide a variety of opportunities for our children. We are very excited about working with you and your child this season. They will have a lot of fun, develop lasting friendships, enjoy the expression and creativity of dance and cheerleading, experience the excitement of competition, and learn responsibility and discipline. With the latter of these accomplishments being the least favorite with our children, it is important to ensure an organized and successful season. Team spirit, positivity and accountability are also very important to our organization. Our goal is to teach these values to our children. On a personal note, I have been involved with the Liberty Belles organization since Like many of you, I started just doing my volunteer hours, but wanted to become more involved. I began as a Team Mom Coordinator, and now Director. I have had an amazing time getting to know many of you and your children these last few years and look forward to getting to know all of you

that are new this year. If you need anything, I am available and want to ensure that we all have a successful 2017 season! I m dedicated to making this our best year yet and to help teach our children that cheer and dance are about having fun, making lasting friendships and cheering our Patriots to victory! Another priority of mine is to keep you informed so please watch for our s. Our organization is one of the BIGGEST and the BEST within AAYFDT and we must all work together to keep it that way. I have a wonderful group of volunteers; some of them have been with us for many years and others are new and exciting additions to our team. Our success depends on us all! We rely on parent participation, sponsors and everyone s overall support. Let s come together and make the 2017 Liberty Belle season great! TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE!!! Best Regards Liz Fisher

Remember we are volunteers This is not a place for a personal confrontation. If you would like to discuss issues in private, you are encouraged to arrange a one-onone meeting.

In the unlikely event the matter can't be resolved at the team level, please contact the board President, Cindy Stockton. If the matter can't be resolved at the Board level, then a written letter may be sent to the AAYFDT Board. All letters must be signed and have an address or phone number to be considered. HOMECOMING AND MAYORS CUP Homecoming is a special and fun time! We will provide all Liberty Belles with a mum so you do not need to purchase one for them. The Liberty Belles will only be permitted to wear the mums we give them while cheering at the games. Mayors Cup is the game where we play the only other AAYFDT Tomball team, the Redcats. The Mayor of Tomball comes to the game to present the winning Tomball football team with the Mayors Cup trophy. The times for these games are little different. The games are at 1,3,5,and 7Pm. Homecoming will be on our field at WWJH and we like to support the boys for ALL FOUR football games. (This is our plan but it is subject to change. We have to get approval from the other team to do this.) We plan for the Junior Liberty Belles to cheer for the ENTIRE Freshmen and ENTIRE Sophomore Football Games starting at 8:15am and I will have the Senior Liberty Belles cheer for the ENTIRE Junior and ENTIRE Senior Football Games. These games sometimes run a bit longer but I will still need all Senior Liberty Belles at the field by 11:30 am. The Belle Chimes (mini squad) will cheer for the ENTIRE Sophomore Football Game and the ENTIRE Junior Football games. SPIRIT POSTERS We like to do what we call spirit posters each year for our Homecoming game. This can be a regular poster board decorated with your child's name, team name, picture or any blinged-out decorations you want to add to it. We

also offer the opportunity to order a vinyl poster from our photographer at picture day (date is TBA) always the first week of school. We will hang these all around our football gates and field areas so please start planning your poster and I will get with you as the date gets closer on when to start turning them into your Team Moms!! HOMECOMING PEP RALLY Our Homecoming Pep Rally takes place the Thursday evening prior to the Homecoming game. (During Liberty Belle Practice) We have it at WWJH on the football field (location is subject to change) and introduce the girls, boys, coaches, play fun games and we also have food that you can pre order and then all sit out on the field after the pep rally to eat on picnic blankets. 23 Mandatory Dress Rehearsal : November 4 th & 11 th from 9 am 1 pm Super Bowl If the boys make it to the Super Bowl we ask that our Belles cheer at Super Bowl!! This is not mandatory but we HIGHLY encourage this as this is the BIGGEST game for them! We hope to cheer them on to victory this year! COMPETITION Competition is November 18 th. Each practice prepares us for competition, which is one of the reasons why attendance and participation is important. As a courtesy to the team, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND COMPETITION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Our choreography is designed around the number of Liberty Belles on each team. Each child is an important part of our formations and routines. If someone is unexpectedly missing, it affects the whole team and forces the coaches to alter formations and choreography. This team means a lot to the children so be respectful of other participants and volunteers. We will have more information for you as competition nears.

ADDITIONAL COMPETITION COSTS Competition Ad an ad in the Competition book with your child on it (pics, name etc). This book has all of the drill teams within AAYFDT in it and is an awesome keepsake. CAPTAINS TRY-OUT PROCESS To be eligible to try out for a Captain, you must be a 6 th grader for Seniors or a 3 rd grader for Juniors with at least one year of service with the Liberty Belles. If a Captain has disciplinary issues or issues with tardiness and absences, she will lose her ranking as a Captain at The Directors discretion. 28 2017 TOMBALL LIBERTY BELLES RULES AND REGULATIONS It is the goal of the Liberty Belles Director, and all volunteers to give the girls a positive and fun environment. We are dedicated to teaching the meaning of the word "team" and the importance of good sportsmanship. We enjoy our volunteer work and our reward is realized as we watch the girls grow and build character so they can become a positive influence in our community. We have positive incentives built in our program to reward the team accordingly. We want to encourage lady-like behavior and full cooperation of each participant. We will use guidelines outlined in this handbook to teach the girls responsibility and the advantage of being courteous and using good manners. Cooperation and respect for all volunteers is a must. If disciplinary action is necessary it will be discussed with the Director and/or Coach and handled fairly and consistently on a case-by-case basis. If inappropriate behavior continues or worsens the AAYFDT Board will be notified and the ultimate action will be in their discretion, including dismissal from the team. I have read the handbook and understand the rules to follow. Parent Signature Liberty Belle Signature Date:
