1 @LuttHigh LutterworthHighSchool LuttHigh Friday 25th May 2018 Dear Parents / Carers Thank you for your support over this busy half-term. I hope you enjoy the break and hopefully the weather will be a bit better than today. Our annual Lion King trip took place this week. This trip from LHS has been going for the last 17 years. I would like to thank Mr Noyland and all of the staff who have supported the trip for enabling the students to have such a fantastic experience. Included in the newsletter are details of our half-term revision schedule for Year 11. Our Year 11 students have worked incredibly hard with a demanding schedule of examinations over the last couple of weeks. I wish everybody a well deserved rest, as well as continuing to prepare for the next set of examinations. I would like to thank staff for continuing to go the extra mile with revision sessions and the huge amount of support they give to the students. I have included in the newsletter our uniform guidance on shoes. I know that most parents will be looking to replace in the summer, but if you do need to replace earlier, the guidance is there to help. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. As from September 2018, we will be introducing a total ban on false nails. These are proving a serious impediment to student learning in practical lessons and are not suitable for school. It has been a busy sporting week, as you will see inside the newsletter. Well done to the many students who have been selected to compete in athletics at County level. I had the pleasure this week of watching our key stage 3 tennis stars play Leicester Grammar School. There were some fantastic individual performances which bode well for the future. Finally, I wish Tom Wheatcroft all the best for his England Counties tour of Romania. Have a good weekend. Kind regards Julian Kirby
