15 Wrap up Connect: Be Smart Game Show Who had fun today? Encourage screams &applause Who will share a highlight from today s game show? Content: I want to make sure everyone knows this: success starts today! Some people think that success is something you become later when you are older. That is what I call Stinkin Thinkin Stinkin Thinkin = Bad choices that produce bad results I need to pass the test but I don t take time to study Stinkin Thinkin I want to win the game but I don t work hard at practice Stinkin Thinkin I want to have friends, but I don t work at being a friend Stinkin Thinkin I want people to help me, but I won t help myself Stinkin Thinkin I want people to help me but I won t help them Stinkin Thinkin I want people to respect me, but I don t respect others Stinkin Thinkin I can do whatever I want today and then change later Stinkin Thinkin Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." NIV Proverbs 23:7 "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." NKJV The way you think does matter. Today we played a bunch of games that used different types of intelligences. Logical, musical, use of words, and people skills. Just like there are a lot of different ways to be smart there are a lot of ways to be successful You have a better shot at being successful tomorrow if you make good choices today Challenge: If you made bad choices yesterday then you can still make good ones today No one knows the future So don t wait until tomorrow to be successful be successful today. Make good choices for yourself and encourage your friends to do the same. Close: I think success is something that you can have today. It s your choice! You just got to remember to o Be Smart
