2 WELCOME Dear Mr. President, The National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland (NCFFI) invites you to participate in the 4th World Feeder Fishing Championships, which will be hosted on Inniscarra Reservoir near the village of Coachford, Co Cork on the 19 th and 20 th July The World Championships will be organised by the National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland. The National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland (NCFFI) represents anglers and their clubs on the Island of Ireland and was formally established in 1962 and at the same time became affiliated member of CIPS Tourism. The NCFFI has hosted a number of World Freshwater Angling Championships, 1968 on the River Blackwater in Fermoy, Co Cork the Newry Canal, Newry, Co Down the Erne, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh European Championships Lough Muckno, Castleblaney, Co Monaghan World Championships for Boat Fishing with Lures on the Erne system, Enniskillen. We are continuing to build good experience running and organising events like these. 3 PERIOD OF THE EVENT Arrival of participating Nations Sunday 13 July Departure of participating Nation Monday 21 July VENUE The competition will be held on the Inniscarra Reservoir/Lake in the locality of Coachford, Co Cork. The venue Section is 2-8 km long and a road has been put in place along the section for easy access to the entire venue. Depth ranges from 6 meters to 9 meters at 30 meters out from bank. Fish mostly present are Bream ranging from 1kg plus, Skimmers, Hybreds, Roach, Rudd are in abundance other species, Tench, Carp, Eels, Perch, Brown Trout, Pike, Gudgeon. Pike, Eels, Trout and Salmon will not count in this Championship

4 WHERE WE ARE AND HOW TO JOIN US Coachford Coordinates: N W Coachford is a village west of Cork City, Co Cork in the Province of Munster, Ireland. It is located on the north side of the River Lee. Coachford got its name from Áth an Chóiste (Ford of the Coaches) as there used to be a narrow ford across a stream (which is now part of the River Lee). The Lee was flooded for a hydroelectric power plant and farmlands including many houses were flooded by the newly formed lake which was created in Coachford is located around a crossroads where the R618 and R619 regional roads intersect. Cork City is 15 miles (24 km) Ireland s second largest city with a population of 120,000. CORK AIRPORT AERFORT CHORCAI Cork Airport is approximately 30km, from Coachford, Co Cork. RINGISKIDDY FERRY PORT CORK Cork/Roscoff and Roscoff/Cork 14 hour crossing. Ringskiddy Ferry Port, Co Cork to Coachford, Co Cork is approximately 42km. KERRY AIRPORT AERFORT CHIARRAI Kerry Airport is 75km from Coachford, Co Cork. Daily flights from this airport to Frankfurt Hann, Germany. SHANNON AIRPORT AERFORT NA SIONAINNE Shannon Airport is 130km from Coachford a bit further than the other airports. 5 REGISTRATION Registration Fee FIPSed fee The registration fee includes 9 closing Gala Tickets, fishing permits, Insurances etc. The cost of closing gala tickets is for each accompanying person. Participating Nation will pay for their own accommodation expenditures if you book your accommodation with the NCFFI Organising Committee you will pay them in advance. 7 BAIT & GROUNDBAIT For the official training and the competition days, each competitor will be allowed to use 12 liters of groundbait (wet) and 2.5 liters of live bait, of which a maximum amount of 0.50 liters shall be joker and bloodworm. CAPTAINS & GENERAL STEWARDS MEETINGS Event Office, Community Hall, Coachford 1 st meeting Friday 18 th July at 15:00 During this first meeting, an international jury will be appointed, in conformity with article 28 of the present Official Rules. Subsequently, the following operations shall be carried out: - Roll call of nations; - Nations will draw lots in alphabetical order to determine the call-up order of the draw for the first leg; the call-up order will be inverted for the 2 nd leg (e.g.: the nation which drew by lot as first the first day, will then draw as last one in the second day, etc.). - Various pieces of information about the progress of the championship. - Drawing lots attributing only sectors (A,B,C, etc.) of the first leg to each angler who is part of a team. 2 nd meeting - Saturday 19 th July at 7:00 - Draw allocating the competitors a competition slot in the various sectors. 3 rd meeting Saturday 19 th July at 16:30 - Notification of the results to the participating Countries. - Considerations on the performance of the leg. - Drawing lots attributing only sectors (A,B,C, etc.) of the second leg to each angler who is part of a team. 4 th meeting Sunday 20 th July at 7:00 - Draw allocating the competitors a competition slot in the various sectors. 5 th meeting Sunday 20 th July at 16:30 - Publication of Final ranking list.
