1 WEEKLY NEWSLETTER JUNE 23, 2017 Hole in Ones Congratulations Dan Tipples who scored his third hole in one recently. Dan aced the par-3 11th on Monday June 12. SLC junior member Taegen Dodds scored his first hole in one on the par-3 17th on Monday during a social round. This is the first hole in hole in that particular family tree! :) (LOL) A great effort by both members.

2 Course Matters If you notice anything out of place on the golf course, please contact the Golf Shop. It might be an issue with the Starter s hut toilets, missing rakes, trespassers or course damage. Call the Golf Shop on to alert us to the problem. Golf Results Winners in the past week were as follows: Saturday, 17 June was a Single Stableford. A Grade Winner was Joel Sheldon 40 Points. James Frost won B Grade with 46 Points while C Grade went to Matt Carr on 40 Points. Sunday, 18 June was also Single Stableford. A Grade went to Rahman Alibasic on 39 Points Kirby Clark won B Grade with 41 Points with John McCormack taking C Grade on 41 Points. In the Wednesday Stableford event A Grade went to Stephen Kennedy on 38 points. Christopher Graham won B Grade on 39 Points and Rob Buchan was the best in C Grade on 38 Points. The Monday Vets Our Monday Vets group held the annual Allan Smith Memorial golf event this week.

3 It was great to welcome 12 players from Malvern Valley Golf Course who had a wonderful day, with more than 50 players involved, golf was followed by lunch and presentation of the Allan Smith Shield. The shield was won by David McDonald with 45 Stableford points. A Grade was won by Dermot Heron on 40 Points while David McDonald won B Grade with 45 points. Lock on toilets If you find any of the toilets on the course are closed, please call the golf shop on All the toilets on course have locks to ensure there is no damage after hours. Pennant expressions of interest - Managers SLC is seeking expressions of interest for Team Managers and Assistants for all categories of Pennant for the coming seasons. 4 Membership Draw Night On Friday August 4, we have a member renewal draw for everyone that continues for the 2017/18 year. We have three wonderful TaylorMade prizes. It s going to be a great night with music and we ll be spinning the barrel to see who wins the prizes. Bookings aren t required. Large Lockers We are currently investigating installation of additional large lockers in the Men s Locker Room. If you would be interested in having one of these allocated to you send a note to club@sanctuarylakesclub.com.au and you will be added to the waiting list. Production and installation of these will only proceed if enough expressions of interest are received. Intermediate Membership Open There are a limited number of Intermediate memberships now open. This category is capped at 100, so please act fast if you know anyone who is eligible. You must be 30 and under during the entire upcoming financial year to qualify.

5 Phone for further information. Blitz on Butts Cigarette butts left on the golf course is unacceptable. Not only do they look unsightly, but they can cause damage to the course equipment. SLC is conducting a blitz on butts to stamp out this habit. Please dispose of your cigarette butts in the bins provided. Another solution is to purchase a personal ashtray.
