2 The 2014 Oahu Mid-Amateur Championship (OMAC) The OMAC Golf Tournament has been created to serve the 25+ age competitive golfer business community who enjoy the thrill of competitive tournament golf while balancing their playing opportunities with commitments to their businesses, careers, family and many other demands. The OMAC seeks to return top-quality competitive golf to the business community and offer a high quality event for clients and colleagues. The OMAC will be a individual stroke play tournament conducted under the careful oversight of the Hawaii State Golf Association (HSGA) to assure that the official Rules of Golf are adhered to and honored. All players are required to be amateurs and have an accurate USGA GHIN handicap (or otherwise compete in the championship flight). Current expectations are flights to be Championship (0-4.9), A-Flight ( ), B-Flight ( ) and C-Flight (15.0+). Exact flight breaks will finalized after all entries are received with a goal of fair and even distribution across all flights. While the OMAC tournament does look forward to sharing any proceeds with this years designated chosen charities, The First Tee of Hawaii and The Wounded Warriors Project, this tournament should not be confused with the typical casual charity tournaments where simple participation is the focus. In the OMAC, there are no milligans to purchase, no scrambles, no two putt maximum and no gimmies. All lateral hazards and out-of-bounds penalties are fully enforced. It is real golf according to the rules. Each player plays their own ball from tee box to cup.
