We are thrilled to watch the spectacular new Club Stand unfold in readiness for the 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival. The state-of-the-art building and the hospitality venues within it have been designed to deliver a unique Member experience every time you visit Flemington. WELCOME Glamorous, refined and layered with history, Flemington is the beating heart of Australian thoroughbred racing. While we are building for the future, we are committed to delivering the best facilities, service and experiences for Members. The renovation to our Grandstand provides The View and The Peak with a fresh new look. The new Member areas created for Spring Racing, along with the curated spaces across the course for the 2017 Melbourne Cup Carnival, have been designed to ensure a sense of place for each and every Member and their guests to enjoy. Our racing calendar continues to evolve to ensure we attract the best horses from across the globe and deliver world class Group racing. With ten races worth over $1million each in prize money during the 2017/18 Racing Season, Flemington will remain the epicentre of thoroughbred racing in Australia. This includes everything from what to do about lost and stolen cards, to which parts of the course you can access during the Carnival, to an in-depth look at the loyalty program. 5 MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES FULL MEMBERSHIP A Full Member is entitled to a nontransferable card admitting to the Club s premises and has voting rights. Full Members can gain access to all Members Enclosures on course. Optional Full Member purchases: One Full Guest Card, which admits to the Members Enclosure, excluding Members Only areas One Annual Member Car Pass, which provides parking in the Members Unreserved Car Park Members Enclosure Daily Guest Passes each raceday (restrictions apply) Full Members elected prior to 1979 have the additional option to purchase a Pre 79 Guest Card, which bears identical access privileges as a Full Member Card. LIFE MEMBERSHIP Life Membership is granted after 50 seasons of continuous Full Membership with the Club. Life Members are not required to pay the annual subscription fee and are issued with the following: Non-transferable Life Member Card One Full Guest Card Pre 79 Guest Card A Rank 4 Members Car Pass. Privileges are the same as a Full Member, however no subscription fee or Guest Card cost applies. PROVISIONAL MEMBERSHIP Provisional Membership is available to the legal or de facto spouse of a deceased Full Member upon completion of an application. Provisional Members are entitled to a non-transferable card admitting to the Club s premises, including Members' Only areas. A Provisional Member does not have voting rights. Optional Provisional Member purchases: One Full Guest Card One Annual Member Car Pass Members Enclosure Daily Guest Passes each raceday (restrictions apply). RESTRICTED MEMBERSHIP A Restricted Member is entitled to a non-transferable card admitting to the Club s premises. Restricted Members Cards allow access to the Members Enclosure on all days except AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days. Restricted Members Cards will admit to the racecourse (general admission) and to The Nursery, The Rails, The Domain and The Birdcage on all days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival and the Members Enclosure on Oaks Day and Emirates Stakes Day. Optional Restricted Member purchases: One Restricted Guest Card, which admits as per the Restricted Members Card, excluding Members Only areas One Annual Restricted Member Car Pass, which provides parking in the Members Unreserved Car Park on all days excluding AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days Members Enclosure Daily Guest Passes each raceday, excluding AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days (restrictions apply). 8 9

6 MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES CONT. JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP The Junior Membership program is designed to ignite enthusiasm for racing and educate young people about the broader aspects of the racing industry. The benefits of Membership include: A personalised non-transferable Membership Card Admission to the racecourse on all racedays Admission to the Members Enclosure on all racedays, excluding AAMI Victoria Derby, Emirates Melbourne Cup and Oaks Days* Admission to the Members Reserved Car Parks including The Nursery, The Rails, The Domain and The Birdcage on all days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival Junior Members are eligible for Full Membership status once they reach 18 years of age, if they have been a Junior Member for one full Racing Season Junior Members elevated to Full Membership will not be required to pay the joining fee (a saving of $726) Access to exclusive Member offers, events and merchandise A renewal gift each season and birthday card Junior Members are unable to purchase a Guest Card, Car Pass or Members Reserved Car Site and cannot participate in the Racing Rewards program * Parents or guardians of Junior Members may purchase a Junior Members Enclosure Daily Guest Pass^ for AAMI Victoria Derby or Emirates Melbourne Cup Days, at a discounted price and up to four Junior Members Enclosure Daily Guest Passes^ for Emirates Stakes Day. ^ Child must be years old. PHAR LAP CLUB The Phar Lap Club is a Membership for children under the age of 12 that provides a fun way to learn about horses and the people who work with them. The benefits of Membership include: A gift upon registering Admission to all racedays Active personalised Phar Lap Club Membership Card Invitations to complimentary Phar Lap Club parties Phar Lap Club newsletters, s and a birthday card Access to exclusive competitions Renewal gift each season If you are interested in Junior or Phar Lap Club Membership for your children, please contact VRC Customer Service or visit the Members section of the VRC website. GUEST CARDS Guest Cards are transferable and may only be purchased by Full, Restricted, Pre 79 or Provisional Members. Guest Cards admit bearers to all racedays and all areas of the Members Enclosure, excluding Members' Only areas e.g. The Birdcage, during the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Restricted Members Guest Cards will not admit to the Members Enclosure on AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days. Any person utilising a Members Guest Card is the responsibility of the Member. All Guest Cards will admit to the racecourse (general admission) and to The Nursery, The Rails and The Domain on all days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival

Members may purchase over the phone or in person during business hours (9am 5pm) at VRC Head Office, up until the last working day prior to the raceday. When purchasing, the full name, address and of the guest being introduced must be provided. Members Enclosure Daily Guest Passes can also be purchased at vrc.net.au ON RACEDAY On non-melbourne Cup Carnival racedays, Members may apply to introduce guests into the Members Enclosure. Members may apply in person at the Raceday & Ticketing Office or the Members Services Window to obtain Members Enclosure Daily Guest Passes following payment and guest details. MELBOURNE CUP CARNIVAL Please be advised Members may purchase Members and Junior Members * Enclosure Daily Guest Passes over the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Further information and application forms will be sent to Members and will also be available on the Members section of the VRC website prior to the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Full Members guests on AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days must be international residents and a photocopy of each guest s passport is required. Parents or guardians of Junior Members may purchase one Junior Members Enclosure Daily Guest Pass for AAMI Victoria Derby, Emirates Melbourne Cup and Oaks Days at a discounted price. *Child must be years old. ^ Junior Members Cards can only access the Members Enclosure on Emirates Stakes Day. * Pedestrian Passes only allow access to the enclosure and day stipulated on the ticket. # Junior Pedestrian Passes only allow access to the enclosure stipulated on the ticket on Emirates Stakes Day. 8 RACEDAY INFORMATION MEMBERS UNRESERVED CAR PARK MEMBERS TURNSTILE ENTRANCES & OPENING TIMES LOST CARDS & CAR PASSES FORGOTTEN CARDS ON RACEDAYS Members may gain access to the racecourse off Epsom Road, via either Members Drive or Flemington Drive, providing their Member Car Pass for that Racing Season is clearly displayed. During the Melbourne Cup Carnival, access to the Members Unreserved Car Park will only be via Flemington Drive. Obtaining car spaces in the Members Unreserved Car Park is not guaranteed and is subject to availability. It is recommended that you arrive early on feature racedays, or arrange alternative means of transportation. Information regarding the Members Reserved Car Parks during the Melbourne Cup Carnival will be provided in VRC Members publications, Members s and on the VRC website. Members Enclosure access is granted by scanning your current, renewed VRC Membership Card, Guest Card, or Members Enclosure Daily Guest Pass through the turnstiles. It is the responsibility of the Member to ensure guests correctly scan both in and out of Members Enclosures at all times. For gate opening times, please visit the VRC website. MEMBERS' ONLY AREAS Only Full, Life, Pre 79, Provisional and Restricted Members' and Pre 79 Guest Card holders will be admitted to Members Only areas. Guest Cards and Members Enclosure Daily Guest Pass holders will not be admitted. Members' Only areas include The Birdcage, or any area designated by the Club, pending raceday. The loss or theft of Membership Cards, or Car Passes, must be reported to VRC Customer Engagement Membership as soon as possible so that unauthorised use can be prevented. A replacement card or Car Pass will be issued upon receipt of a written submission explaining the circumstances of the loss. A fee of $30 is required for a new photo or the replacement of a Membership or Guest Card, unless the card was stolen and a copy of a police report is included with the replacement card form (available upon request from the VRC and on the Members section of the VRC website). A fee of $5 is payable for the replacement of a Junior Membership Card and $10 for a Car Pass. Should you forget your Membership Card on a raceday, you will be required to pay the racecourse general admission price and present yourself at the Raceday & Ticketing Office, where on presentation of appropriate identification, a temporary card will be issued for the day. Please note temporary ticketing will not accrue Racing Rewards points. FAULTY CARDS Should you experience any problems with your Membership or Guest Card admitting you to the Members Enclosure please proceed to the Raceday & Ticketing Office where the matter will be addressed. Should your Membership Card not scan at food and beverage outlets please advise catering staff at the time of purchase so the matter can be addressed. Please see page 29 for further information

9 RACEDAY INFORMATION CONT. MISUSE OF MEMBERSHIP CARDS Members are reminded that their Membership Card is strictly nontransferable. Random audit checks are conducted within the Members Enclosure on raceday. The misuse of a Membership Card is a serious breach of Club Rules. Offenders will be referred to the VRC Disciplinary Committee which could result in suspension or loss of Membership privileges. MISBEHAVIOUR Members are urged to respect others within the Members Enclosure by not using offensive or discriminatory language, or indulging in any kind of unseemly behaviour. Any behaviour deemed unacceptable will be referred to the VRC Disciplinary Committee for action. Unseemly behaviour may also result in the offender being escorted from the racecourse. Members are reminded that they are responsible for the behaviour of the guests they introduce into the Members Enclosure, including the Members Reserved Car Park Enclosures. VRC RACEDAY CONTACT If you wish to provide feedback, or speak directly with a representative from the VRC, please present yourself at the Raceday & Ticketing Office and request to speak with a VRC Customer Engagement representative. LIQUOR LICENCE Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at Flemington Racecourse. The VRC and its caterers follow guidelines for Responsible Service of Alcohol. By law, staff members must not serve any alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 18, or to guests deemed to be in a state of intoxication. In addition to any action taken by police, disciplinary action will be taken by the VRC Disciplinary Committee against Members and/or guests who are in breach of the Liquor Licensing Regulations applicable to Flemington Racecourse. CHILDREN IN THE MEMBERS ENCLOSURE On racedays, neatly dressed children up to 11 years old may be admitted to the Members Enclosure free of charge and without ticketing provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children aged must hold a Guest Card, a Junior Members Card* or a Members Enclosure Daily Guest Pass whilst in the Members Enclosure. Children will not be admitted to Members' Only areas and must be supervised at all times. * Junior Members Cards have access into the Members Enclosure during the Melbourne Cup Carnival on Emirates Stakes Day only. INFORMATION FOR PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY In The Grandstand, unisex disabled toilets are located on all levels with the exception of Level 5, as well as wheelchair access to all levels. DISCRIMINATION The VRC is committed to ensuring that Flemington Racecourse is a welcoming and inclusive place for all. The VRC expects that every person who visits or works at Flemington will act with respect and decency towards one another at all times, in an environment free from discrimination and vilification. Please refer to our website for further information. RESERVED DINING FACILITIES Members dining facilities are available for lunch and afternoon tea on all racedays. Please refer to the Tickets & Packages section of the VRC website for regular updates on dining availability. Special arrangements for reserved dining facilities during the Melbourne Cup Carnival will be advised in VRC Members publications and on the VRC website. Please note that guests who are dining during the Melbourne Cup Carnival require Members Enclosure Daily Guest Passes. Restrictions apply (see page 12 for further information). Dining bookings are limited to one table per Member during the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Please visit vrc.net.au for Members dining on-sale dates. Bookings can be made by contacting VRC Customer Service on or online at vrc.net.au Melbourne Cup Carnival dining details will be sent to Members in July each year

10 MEMBERS ENCLOSURE DRESS REGULATIONS The Club s dress standards will be strictly enforced throughout the Racing Season. To avoid inconvenience on raceday, please ensure that your attire and that of your guests, is appropriate for the Members Enclosure. Notwithstanding the dress standards outlined, the Club reserves the right to refuse entry to any person. GENTLEMEN (INCLUDING CHILDREN 12 AND OVER) Gentlemen are required to wear a suit, of tailored slacks (tailored chinos acceptable), sports coat or blazer, plus tie or bow tie and dress shoes. During the period between 1 December and 31 March jackets are not required. Overseas visitors are welcome to wear the formal National Dress of their country. NOT ACCEPTABLE GENTLEMEN Any form of the following footwear: joggers, sports shoes, track shoes, runners, sandals, thongs*, dilapidated footwear, scuffs, gumboots or slippers Shoes without socks Jeans, jodhpurs, shorts, untailored slacks or cargo pants Torn or ripped clothing even if considered designer tears Open-neck shirts or shirts with no collar Peaked caps, beanies Parkas, duffle coats, windbreakers, tracksuit tops, weatherproofs, waist length jackets including bomber jackets, denim jackets, casual or untailored leather jackets, anoraks and driza bone jackets Safari suits, bright/fluorescent coloured suits, tracksuits Pullovers or cardigans (without a jacket), rugby tops and football guernseys, even if wearing a tie Cravats Strictly no denim. LADIES (INCLUDING CHILDREN 12 AND OVER) Ladies are expected to maintain a suitable standard in keeping with the dignity of the Members Enclosure. Overseas visitors are welcome to wear the formal National Dress of their country. MEMBERS GUESTS Members are reminded of their responsibility for ensuring the attire of guests introduced into the Members Enclosure conforms to the required standard. CHILDREN UNDER 12 Children under 12 must be neatly dressed and accompanied by an adult in the Members Enclosure. Please note that Members dress regulations are subject to change. 11 RECIPROCAL PRIVILEGES AT OTHER CLUBS MELBOURNE & MOONEE VALLEY RACING CLUBS VRC Members will be admitted to the Members Enclosure at Caulfield, Sandown, Mornington and Moonee Valley during selected racedays. The Member must pay racecourse admission and present themselves at the hosting club s Raceday Office with their current Full or Restricted VRC Membership Card. VRC Members also have the opportunity to introduce guests to the Members Enclosure upon appropriate payment. Please visit vrc.net.au, for updated reciprocal race date information. VICTORIAN PROVINCIAL/ COUNTRY RACEDAYS Upon paying racecourse admission, VRC Members will be issued with a Members ticket at Victorian provincial/ country racedays, excluding Cup Days, the three days of the Warrnambool Cup Carnival and special event days as designated by the clubs. Members are advised to contact the relevant club prior to attending. INTERSTATE CLUBS VRC Members are eligible to apply for reciprocal arrangements with interstate principal clubs and certain provincial clubs listed opposite, under the following conditions: VRC Member to pay racecourse admission Member to present current VRC Membership Card at the Secretary s or Raceday Office of the host club Interstate clubs may charge for reciprocal Members Enclosure tickets at their feature meetings. Visiting Members may purchase up to two tickets for most of these meetings Visiting Members arrangements for non- feature racedays provide for the Member to sign for a Members ticket free of charge, with the option to purchase one additional ticket. To establish prices and procedures for gaining access to interstate clubs, it is recommended that you contact the appropriate club direct via telephone. 12 RECIPROCAL PRIVILEGES AT OTHER CLUBS CONT. INTERNATIONAL CLUBS VRC Members are generally welcome at all international race clubs. However Members are reminded that these arrangements have been established as a goodwill gesture between the clubs concerned and provide for a courteous extension of Members privileges on the occasions of intermittent, bona-fide visits only. It is an international club s discretion as to whether to offer reciprocal arrangements to a VRC Member. Applications for reciprocal arrangements need to be made at least 10 working days in advance, and in writing, to VRC Customer Engagement Membership, 448 Epsom Road, Flemington VIC 3031 or membership@vrc.net.au When applying to the VRC, please state race club, country, travel dates, racedays, name of any guest(s) attending and accommodation details if available. Contact will be made on your behalf to confirm reciprocal arrangements, costs and dress standards. Members will be notified via or telephone. We recommend that Members make contact with the international club prior to the raceday to confirm arrangements. Members are generally required to pay racecourse admission fees, and then proceed to the oncourse information office to arrange privileges by presenting a current VRC Membership Card and/ or introductory letter. Certain clubs prefer to deliver passes to your hotel or accommodation. Please note that most clubs, during their carnival period or feature racedays, enforce special conditions of entry and privileges offered to visiting Members. Payment can be made by completing your payment details and forwarding the subscription notice to the Club by mail or by contacting VRC Customer Service on and paying over the phone. Alternatively, sign into the Members section of the VRC website and simply renew your Membership online. Please note the Junior and Phar Lap Club Membership subscription fees must be paid by a parent or guardian of the Junior Member. Should your address or any personal contact details change, including phone, , title, occupation or name, you are required to advise the VRC at your earliest convenience. Furthermore, as the VRC is mindful of environmental sustainability, the Club often utilises and SMS communication to update Members on important issues. You may advise of changes/updates by post, or by contacting VRC Customer Service on or customerservice@vrc.net.au to update your information. Publications exclusively for VRC Members are distributed to Members throughout the year. Members can earn their Tier Status in one of three ways: through consecutive years of Membership, attendance on racedays or spend with the Club. 15 HOW TO EARN POINTS RACING REWARDS Be rewarded for tenure, attendance and spend. PURCHASES FOR A RACEDAY Earn 1 Racing Reward point for every $1 spent when purchasing selected Membership products and packages through VRC Customer Service and the VRC website. In addition, you will also be able to earn 1 Racing Reward point for every $1 spent on raceday when you make a food and/ or beverage purchase and swipe your Membership Card at the sales terminals in participating food and beverage outlets. Please note that for all qualifying purchases your total transaction will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (if the total is 50 cents or more) or down to the nearest dollar (if the total amount is 49 cents or less). SCANNING YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD It is your responsibility to ensure that your Membership Card is scanned at the point of purchase on course before a transaction is closed, as no amendments will be made after the raceday. Your Membership Card has scanned correctly if your name is displayed on the customer facing screen. If you have any issues scanning your card on raceday at the sales terminals, please advise the bar/outlet staff at the time of purchase and request a receipt; they will instruct you to contact the Raceday & Ticketing Office on (03) and a VRC representative will meet you at the outlet. ISSUING OF POINTS Points will ordinarily be issued to your account within five days of the transaction date. Sign in to your account to view your points at vrc.net.au Points will not be earned on any purchase transaction that is cancelled or returned. POINTS FOR DINING Members are advised that points for any dining products and packages will be allocated to the Member who makes the booking. Points will not be split between Members. If you would like to be seated with another Member from a separate booking, please advise the Customer Service representative when making the booking. Please note that sit with requests cannot currently be facilitated via online bookings. Please contact VRC Customer Service on for sit with requests. Bookings for dining products and packages during the Melbourne Cup Carnival will be via the ballot process, Members who would like to sit together will be asked to submit their applications on the one application form and list the details of each Member on the table so that each Member can be awarded points for his/her individual booking. 16 WHERE YOU CAN EARN POINTS ON COURSE EARNING TIER STATUS Members can earn points at Members Enclosure food and beverage outlets where Membership Cards can be scanned. Members are advised that outlets where points can be earned are subject to change as not all outlets are open every raceday. BONUS POINT OPPORTUNITIES There will be numerous opportunities for you to earn bonus Racing Rewards points throughout the season, including attendance, Membership renewals, bonus point products and raceday promotions. These opportunities will be communicated via Members s, SMS notifications and through the Point of Sales screens on raceday. Please note that bonus points will not contribute towards achieving Tier Status and can be used for redemption items only. POINTS EXPIRY Provided you remain an eligible VRC Member, Racing Rewards points expire two years from the date that they are awarded. Your Tier Status will remain from one Racing Season to the next as long as your spend, attendance or tenure history is re-achieved by the end of the subsequent Racing Season. For example, if you achieve Gold Tier Status by the last raceday of the season, Saturday 22 July 2017, you will enjoy Gold Tier Status benefits until the end of the following season. If during the 2017/18 Racing Season you achieve Platinum Tier Status, then you will automatically be elevated when you achieve this status. If you do not re-achieve Gold Tier Status through your spend, attendance or tenure, you will move into Silver Tier Status or Bronze Tier Status (as applicable) from 1 August Elevation of status based on tenure will occur on 1 August each year and will reflect your upcoming Membership anniversary. Otherwise, Tier Status is awarded upon qualification for the relevant tier level within the current Racing Season and runs until the end of the following Racing Season as described above.
