2 EntrIES Entries must have correct horses and riders stabling OR day stay details. All owners and riders entering, competing or have horses competing in this event are expected to have read and accepted the following conditions of entry and consent to them when entering online. Riders under 18 should have a parent or guardian s permission to enter. Parents of anyone under the age of 18 must have read and consented to the conditions online. Entries to be lodged at Read and agree to Conditions of entry, this includes Disclaimer Statement this is done when entering online by ticking the box agreeing to conditions of entry. Entries must be paid in full at close of entries. Horses can only start in 2 classes per day. Prizes & ribbons given to 1 in 10 horses who compete. Memberships and Registrations Horse, Owner and Rider must be current financial members with Equestrian Australia state branch. NSW Riders must be current financial members of Jumping NSW Inc. Riders having lived in NSW for the preceding 12 months must be members of JNSW. (Interstate Competitors excluded). If not financial, please complete the membership form on globalentriesonline. com.au or contact Jumping NSW. Or contact the JNSW Secretary or fill out form equestrian.org.au All horses nominated must hold current registration jumping card from EA and must be currently financial. Refunds Before entries close: If you are scratching a horse from the show entry fees and other expenses will be refunded less a $25 administration fee. You need to espjane@bigpond. com to notify you have scratched from After close of entries: A 50% refund of entries will only be given on presentation of a doctor s certificate or a veterinary certificate. Stabling and day stay fees will be refunded. There will be no refunds for missing classes. Applications for refunds must be received no later than 7 days after the last day of the show to espjane@bigpond.com. A $10 late fee will be charged for change of classes or entering a new class after the close of entries. These must be made when live editing is available during the show or at the show office and will not be taken over the phone or by . If the show or any day of the show has to be cancelled entry fees will be refunded for the days cancelled. General Rules Horses can only compete in 2 classes each day. Change of Rider: Riders cannot compete unless they are registered with the show office or have entered online. Fines may apply to horse owners for riders competing that have not registered online or at the show office. Riders not entered before close of entries online must register and sign a Disclaimer Statement at the show office before competing. Ie. Substitute rider and or horse. International riders must be members of Equestrian Australia or produce an International competitors license. The Event will be run under FEI/EA rules. Current helmet standards will apply. All riders must wear approved riding boots and an approved helmet at all times whilst mounted, including presentations. Horses must compete in their correct draw order in Arena one and as close to draw order in the other arenas. If a horse is to be substituted it must be registered with the office before competing. The Organising Committee reserves the right at their absolute discretion to alter or amend any of the conditions, regulations, or any aspect of the event as they see fit. Equestrian Australia reserves the right to swab horses. Random swabbing of horses may be conducted in any class. Horses chosen for swabbing must proceed directly to the swabbing box immediately after the presentation. All dogs must be on leads and secured at all times. No dogs are allowed in the practice arenas or competition arenas. Dogs must be on leads in the Stable Area. PRESENTATIONS: Arena 1 all prize presentations will be mounted. Ribbons and rugs will be placed on the horses in the holding yard prior to them entering the arena for the presentation. Riders must wear coats in their presentations. Riders with horses that may be difficult in presentations should substitute this horse with another horse for the presentation or seek permission from the organising committee to be unmounted. Coats must be worn in all presentations in the Olympic Arena. Coats must be worn when competing until the organising committee say otherwise. If summer uniform is to be worn shirts must have sleeves. Ties or ratcatchers must be worn. White ties must be worn if the rider is not wearing a coat. STABLING ARRIVAL TIME: The following times are for the arrival of horse vehicles: Tuesday 12pm to 7pm Wednesday from 7am to 7pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 7pm World Cup horses must be stabled from after Trot Up till Stabling for World Cup horses not staying the whole show contact espjane@bigpond.com There is a $10 venue day stay levy per horse per day for horses not stabled. If you wish to be stabled near another competitor please espjane@bigpond.com before close of entries. Anyone not able to arrive within these hours must contact the Stable Manager Jack Payne on SIEC Stable Rules: Stables will be allocated and the stable area is under the direction of the stable managers. Thongs are not to be worn in stable area. Dogs MUST be on leads in stable area. Bikes, buggies to be parked outside. No unauthorised vehicles in the stable area. Horses must never be tied to stable doors STABLE MANAGERS HOURS are strictly 6am until 7pm. Only under Special circumstances will horses be permitted to arrive outside these times and prior arrangements with the Stable Manager need to be made for arrivals and departures outside these times. STABLE MANAGER Jack Payne World Cup Competitors: It is a requirement of the FEI & EA that horses competing in a World Cup competition must be stabled from the Trot Up and must not leave the venue until after the World Cup class. Horses and riders must be registered with the FEI and have current passports at the event. Horse and riders FEI ID number must be supplied to the Organising committee with entries. World Cup horses must wear a bridle number whenever out of their stable. Riders must supply their own bridle numbers, numbers allocated by Ground Jury. Entries for the competition must close minimum of two weeks prior to the event. If horses are a scratching from the event the organising committee must be notified immediately. Horse substitutions must also be notified immediately All horses entered in the World Cup Qualifying Round will be required to undergo a fitness inspection (trot-up). Horses must be presented in a bridle. The fitness inspection (Trot Up) will take place will take place on Friday 8am at the northern end of the stables. Horses must have current FEI Horse passports with them at the trot up. It is the rides responsibility to pick up the horses passports. Passports will not be sent back to the riders. Stabling for World Cup horses not staying the whole show contact espjane@bigpond.com DEFINITIONS HORS CONCOURS (HC) Any rider declaring a horse to be competing non competitively or HC, the horse will not be able to be competitive in any other class for that day. Permission needs to be obtained from the OC to compete HC. Horses cannot compete in the same competition twice. Young Rider From the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 16 until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 21. Riders of the correct age may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different horses. Horses may only compete in either Junior or Young Rider not both. Junior From the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 12 until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 18. Riders of the correct age may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different horses. Horses may only compete in either Junior or Young Rider not both. Amateur Is a rider 21 years and over, has not competed in a World Cup Qualifier for the last ten years, who has never competed in Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games in Showjumping or Eventing and has not competed in Part 1 or 2 at Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide Royal Shows in the past two years and cannot have not competed in a 4 Star 3 Day Event in the last ten years. Horses cannot compete in a class higher in height at this show. Amateur rider cannot compete in any class higher than the Amateur classes at this show. (1.20m) Amateurs may compete in the 1.20m height classes at this show. The Final round of the Jumping NSW Amateur of the Year Series will be held within Sunday s Amateur Championship Class. The Presentation of this class will be held in the Olympic Arena. Also the presentation for the winner of the JNSW Amateur of the Year Series will be held in the Olympic Arena on Sunday at this presentation. Restricted 90cm-1.00m = for horses and /or riders in their first year in competition at a show jumping show (2018) (does not include jump club training days) Each horse can only compete In one Series during Rising Star Series For horses 20 points and under, 8 years and under at the date of Top 30 Horses on a point score over the two qualifiers are eligible to compete in the final. First qualifier maximum height in the first round 1.15m. Horses competing in this series cannot compete in another series of classes at Competitors qualifying for the final will need to enter via the new global entries live editing system or come to the office to nominate and pay the entry fee before 3pm on Friday. If final entries are not received by this time it will be assumed you do not want to start. All horses in the final start on 0 penalties Futurity Series For horses 50 points or less and are 6, 7, 8 or 9 years old from date of birth at time of competition. The top 25 horses from the point score of the two qualifying rounds the Futurity Series will qualify for the final. The point score is based on placings in the 2 qualifying classes, Thursday and Friday. Horses competing in the Futurity Series of classes cannot compete in another Series of classes. Competitors qualifying for the final will need to enter live editing on Global Entries online or come to the office to nominate and pay the entry fee. If final entries are not received by this time it will be assumed you do not want to start. All horses in the final start on 0 penalties. Mini Prix Series: Two qualifying events will be run, one on Friday and one on Saturday with 25 horses taken into the final from the point score of these two classes. The point score is based on placings in the 2 qualifying classes. Competitors qualifying for the final will need to enter via live editing on Global Entries or come to the office to nominate and pay the entry fee. All horses in the final on Sunday will start on 0 penalties. Horses competing in the World Cup cannot compete in the Mini Prix Series.

3 Junior & Young Rider Series Two qualifying events will be run, one on Friday and one on Saturday with 25 horses taken into the final from the point score of these two classes. The point score is based on placings in the 2 qualifying classes. Competitors qualifying for the final will need to enter via live editing on Global Entries or come to the office to nominate and pay the entry fee before 3pm on Saturday. All horses in the final on Sunday will start on 0 penalties OLYMPIC ARENA The organising Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry if it is deemed unsuitable or unsportsmanlike for that class. Formal dress code shall apply unless otherwise advised. (White or fawn breeches only.) Shirts must have sleeves. Coats must be worn in all presentations in the Olympic Arena. Coats must be worn until the organising committee say otherwise. If summer uniform is to be worn shirts must have sleeves. Ties and ratcatchers must be worn. White ties must be worn if the rider is not wearing a coat. Each horse may only start in TWO classes each day. Each horse may only start in one series. Extra places given to every 1 in 10 starters. Finals The Super Junior Final, Young Rider Final and Mini Prix Final will have 25 qualifiers decided on a pointscore from the 2 classes listed in the schedule as Qualifying Classes. Points will be awarded in each qualifying class. If there is equality of placing then the points will be shared. Should there be an equality of points at the completion of the qualifying classes then the rider placed highest in the second qualifying class for their division shall be ranked the highest. Entries for all Finals must be confirmed and entered online by live editing or confirmed and paid at the show office on the afternoon prior to the final. Will run in order of the draw order based on the horse. Arena One will take priority. Arena Two Formal dress code shall apply unless otherwise advised. (White or fawn breeches only.) Vehicles must not be driven under the influence of alcohol. Only officials may drive golf buggies in the stable area. Three and Four wheeler bikes are not permitted at SIEC. Quad bikes are not permitted at SIEC. STABLING & CAMPING Stabling for World Cup horses not staying the whole show contact espjane@bigpond.com STABLE PACKAGE PER HORSE includes stable hire/night from Wednesday to Saturday night (Tuesday and Sunday night not included) and 5 bales shavings plus refundable stable bond. Tuesday and Sunday nights can be booked but are outside the package. SIEC requires a $79/stable cleaning fee/stable bond. Stable bonds are included in the cost of the stable package and $79 will be refunded within 14 days after the show if the stable is deemed clean. No horses to arrive before Tuesday 12pm. Horses may be required to have a health inspection on arrival. Stable $270 for the show includes 5 bales of shavings and stable bond ($79 bond will be returned via your global entries account if stables are left clean). Tuesday & Sunday night $30/night, extra for these nights that are outside the package Stable Manager: Jack Payne WELFARE OF THE HORSE CODE OF CONDUCT 1 In all equestrian sports the horse must be considered paramount. 2. The well being of the horse shall be taken above the demands of the breeders, trainers, riders, owners, dealers, organisers, sponsors or officials. 3. All handling and veterinary treatment must ensure the health and welfare of the horse. 4. The highest standards of nutrition, health, sanitation and safety shall be encouraged and maintained at all times. 5. Adequate provision must be made for ventilation, feeding, watering and maintaining a healthy environment during transportation. 6. Emphasis should be placed on increasing education in training and equestrian practices and on promoting scientific studies in equine health. 7. In the interests of the horse, the fitness and competence of the rider shall be regarded as essential. 8. All riding and training methods must take account of the horse as a living entity and must not include any technique considered by the FEI to be abusive. 9. National Federations should establish adequate controls in order that all persons and bodies under their jurisdiction respect the welfare of the horse. 10 The national and international Rules and Regulations in equestrian sport regarding the health and welfare of the horse must be adhered to not only during the national and international events, but also in the training. Competition Rules and Regulations shall be continually reviewed to ensure such welfare. The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. 1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation. 2. Horses and Athletes must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids. 3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event. 4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement. 5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise.
