4 BREEDER S DIVISION Date: Sunday, September 19th, 2008 September 27, 2008 Location: Calori Pavilion Grass Ring Start Time: Following Young Horse Evaluations Following Young Horse Evaluations Class Information In the Breeder s Division, the entry is made under the name of SIRE or DAM, but only the offspring are shown. 6. Get of Sire Entry Fee: $ Produce of Dam Entry Fee: $30.00 Prize Information: Ribbons awarded to 5 th place. Entry must include 3 offspring from the same stallion for Class 13, or 2 offspring for class 14. One of the offspring for class #13 must be a weanling. Mare Division South-Sunday, September 14, 2008 North-Saturday, September 27, 2008 Inspection Registration: All paperwork for mare inspections must be complete and in the show Secretary's possession by 8:30 a.m. NOTE: You must have the mare's Original registration papers, DNA information and Mare Inspection Form completed; otherwise your mare may not be inspected. No post entry after 8:30 AM for classes, no exceptions! Start Time: After young horse classes After young horse classes & 1 hr lunch break & 1 hr lunch break Location: Calori Pavilion Grass Ring(Indoor if weather bad). To inspect a mare, you must be a member of CWHBA, or have a separate completed membership application and cheque made out to CWHBA. DNA testing ($60.84) is mandatory. Cheques may be made out to CWHBA. If mare has previously had DNA testing from a foreign registry, documentation must be provided. Please make cheques for entry/stabling/inspection/foal identification fees to CWHBA/AB Chapter. All horses will be shown on the triangle only once and that score will be carried forward where applicable to additional evaluation classes and championships. Please have sufficient handlers. Mare Inspection and Evaluation classes will be run in order of age group. 4
5 Mare Inspection and Mare Show Information 1 - No Prizes are awarded for Inspection 2. - Owners of Mares entered in class s 1a, 3a, or 5a MUST produce a breeding certificate as proof of previous annual breeding entry for the mare. Without proving the breeding certificate, you will be charged $ If your mare has previously produced a CWHBA registered foal or you have already entered her for the current breeding year, enter class 1a, 2a, or 3a depending on the mare's age. All mares that have never had an annual breeding entry must enter class 1b, 3b, or 5b depending on the mare's age. 4 - Mares of 3 years of age or older are examined in hand on the triangle. Any Thoroughbred, Arabian, or Anglo-Arabian mare may be inspected for entry into the CWHBA breeding registry. All CWHBA registered mares 3 years of age or older must (as of 1995) be inspected for breeding entry. 5 - For the Mare Show, all horses entered must enter the ring and walk. Judges in the mare show may change the order of placing and may change the score at the walk. 6 Mare Inspection all mares present individually on the triangle and as a group at the walk. Judges may change the inspection score of the walk based on the group walk. 8 Mare Show All mares present on the triangle All mare inspection scores will be used in Mare Show All scores will be compared to place in Mare Show 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd position 8 Mares: Ages 3 and 4 years 8a. Provincial Mare Championship is open to any mare placing first or second, based on inspection scores, at any inspection in 2008, including this one. Mares must be present and show on the triangle and at the walk. Participating mares from previous inspections are not eligible for mare show classes. This class will be offered at the North show for
6 YOUNG HORSE RIDING TEST: North Show ONLY Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008 Location: Indoor Arena Start Time: 5:00 pm 1 hour break after the previous classes Class Information: The Young Horse Riding Test is for horses age 3+ Horses are assessed in the following categories: Horses are shown under saddle at the walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. Horses are required to chute jump to assess their athletic ability. Horses are assessed, by a test rider, individually, on their rideability. 15 Riding Horse Test Class Fee $45.00 Sponsored by: Young Horse Riding Test Championship: Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded and presented at the CWHBA Fall Sale. SPECIAL EVENTS Foal Identifiers may be available during the show. We will be prepared to complete the required forms to register you foal. Bring your paperwork and complete your foal registration conveniently at the show. It is up to you to make arrangements with CWHBA recognized foal identifiers. 8 STABLING South Show Stalls are available from 2:00 pm, Saturday. Stall fees are $50.00 each, including stall clean-out fee. Stabling for Sunday night, if necessary, can be made prior arrangement.
