All entries must be received and paid for prior to the show or at the ring office during the show. A ticket system will operate NO TICKET NO ENTRY NO EXCUSE Due Friday 1 st June 2018 STABLES WILL BE ALLOCATED UPON PAYMENT & RECEIPT OF COMPLETED STABLING & CAMPING FORM All Horse Competitors MUST provide a copy of their completed H.H.D. to the Ring Office or Stabling Officer upon arrival to the Showgrounds. Competitors must also retain a copy for a period of two (2) years. You must obtain a DPI registered property identification code; this code must be written on your waybill Prize money will be distributed to competitors at the completion of each class in rings 1 and 2. Please note that if there are less than three (3) competitors in a class only 1 st place will be paid and if there are less than five (5) competitors only 1 st and 2 nd will be paid. 4 Camping parking and stables are allocated and will be strictly adhered to by Stewards No straw bedding allowed your own bedding must be supplied. No camping or electric fences will be allowed in the ring PLEASE NOTE STABLING IS AT A MINIMUM If you want to guarantee yourself a stable, stables must be booked and pre-paid. A cancellation fee of $25.00 will apply per booking On the occasion of the clash of events, the competitor must decide which event he/she intends to enter. The program will only be altered at the discretion of the chief ring steward On day two only once a horse/pony has won a championship in one (1) ring they are ineligible to compete in the other ring. i.e. If a horse wins champion open hack in Ring 1 it is ineligible to compete in the open hack classes in Ring 2 WESTERN PERFORMANCE RING Sponsored by: Hibiscus Coast Equestrian Club Judges Profile Steph Olive Steph Olive is a horse trainer and AQHA Judge. She is from Marlborough/Ogden Station and has been involved with horses all her life. Steph stands the reigning stallion the Whiz Revolution and is keen on all aspects of the industry, especially the Range Riding and Performance. We are pleased to welcome Steph to Mackay and to have engaged her services to judge this year s show. Page 4 of 15

5 MACKAY SHOW B SHOW PROGRAM Rules and Regulations Entries All entries must be received and paid for prior to the show or at the ring office during the show. A ticket system will operate please refer to specific sections for details of this. NO TICKET NO ENTRY NO EXCUSE 1. Amateurs MUST hold an amateur permit with AQHA or HSAA 2. Lead Line class Youth 3 to 6 years as at August 1 st. Contestants are not eligible for any other ridden class. Safety helmets are mandatory. No 2/3 year old horses may be used for this event 3. Walk / jog class for youth 5 to 10 years as at August 1 st.youth entering this class cannot compete in any other ridden class. Safety helmets are mandatory. No 2/3 year old horses may be used for this event. 4. Youth ridden age group 7 years to 18 years. Showmanship 5 years to 18 years. 5. Age to be as at 1 st August preceding show date 6. YOUTH ARE NOT PERMITTED TO HANDLE OR RIDE STALLIONS 7. Select Amateurs must hold amateur permit. These classes are for riders 50 years and over 8. Aged horse events are as follows and is as they are from 1 st August e.g. August year old horse for 2 year olds may be ridden in a snaffle Bit or Hackamore (no metal or mechanical ones) ridden 2 handed. 10. Junior horse is for 5 years and under, bit, snaffle or hackamore as above. Note: if 2 year old and/or 3 year old classes are held for that event those horses entering 2 & 3 year old classes are not permitted in junior class of that kind 11. Senior horse is for horses 6 years and over MUST be ridden a bit one handed 12. Open classes, Amateur, youth for all age horses that must be ridden in regulation tack and riders must wear regulation attire 13. Enter on the day by ticket system. Please ensure you are on the grounds with sufficient time to purchase tickets and complete paperwork. 14. As long as class contested is a class recognised by AQHA and is judged by AQHA judge A points will be allocated. Competitor s responsible for sending in their own points. 15. Beginner Rider and Horse are restricted to Beginner classes only on that day. Horses can be ridden two handed in any bit. Western dress applies, long pants, riding boots, long sleeved shirt, cowboy hat or helmut. Any style of saddle as long as it is safe. 16.
