2 SECTION 1 - HORSES SHOWGROUNDS PIC NUMBER QICB0711 SPECIAL REGULATIONS: 1 - Nominations must be in writing half hour before the event - unless otherwise specified. All entry fees as per schedule. Prize winning tickets to be presented at the Secretary s Office for collection of Prizemoney on day of event only. Lost tickets will not be replaced. Entries are taken under the TICKET SYSTEM. ENTRY TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE NOMINATIONS OFFICE and exhibitors are requested to fill in the top portion of their ticket BEFORE entering the ring. 2 - Entry tickets to be presented to the steward BEFORE entry into class. 3 - NO ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED (UNLESS ON VETERINARY/MEDICAL CERTIFICATE) 4 - Age of horse will date from 1st August. Every horse foaled before 1st August shall be deemed one year old on 1st August next following. 5 - A Maiden Hack is a hack that has not won a hack class in competition at an affiliated show. After winning a maiden hack class this horse will be recognised as a Novice. 6 - In all Maiden Competitions, horses must be maidens at time of starting - not at time of entering - on day of show. 7 Show Hunter is not eligible for other Open Hack classes - unless otherwise specified. 8 - Novice horses will NOT have won a championship class in any show 9 - Where height is stipulated, horses and ponies must be measured by the official Measurer when considered desirable. It will be optional with the Stewards to accept a Certificate of Measurement issued by a recognised National A. & I. A. of Qld, provided the animals were five years old at the date of issue of the Certificate The Society reserves the right to substitute special prizes which may be donated for any of the scheduled prizes No Stallion will be allowed to compete in Open Hack classes All prize winners are eligible to compete for championships where applicable without special entry All horses to be approved by the Judge prior to the commencement of each event The excessive use of spurs by any rider in any contest will not be countenanced. Any rider continuing the practice after being warned may be debarred from competing further in any event and forfeit all prize money Each rider /handler must be ready with their horse for competition at the advertised time or when called upon, otherwise rider/ handler and horse may be disqualified. Classes will not be held for multi-registered horses The use of stockwhip or any other whip with a lash by an Exhibitor or Attendant during any Event is strictly prohibited. Any horse proving unduly fractious or delaying the completion of the contest must at the order of the Stewards, retire from competition Ponies to be 14 hands and under and must be ridden by a rider under 17 years - unless otherwise stated 18 - Galloways to be over 14 hands and up to 15 hands Disputes arising from any entry questioned or on any matter not provided for in the rules of the Society will be referred to a Disputes Committee (comprising the Chief Steward and two committee persons) who will adjudicate thereon. All disputes to be submitted in writing within 30 minutes of the event. $110 bond payable & retained if protest dismissed Times stated are approximate only. Events will not start earlier than the times indicated in the schedule 21 - Owners of horses from clean country must make their own arrangements for spraying No dogs allowed on the grounds with the exception of medical/assistance dogs and those competing in Dog Section. 23 NO ELECTRIC FENCES 24 - Stallions need to be double tied, behind a portable panel or single tied and hobbled Stable hire as per Stable Booking Form $25 per stable refundable bond. All bond refunds will be paid by cheque and posted to address listed on Stable Booking Form All electrical appliances brought onto grounds must have a current test tag to comply with O.H.& S All Competitors must complete and sign a Horse Health Declaration/Waiver BEFORE competing in any event Normal fees apply for camping, stables or yards if on the grounds prior to commencement of the Show and the applicable Gate Entry Fee for 1 day is payable at the same time Events 1 & 13 are for Competitors who attend School, Kindy or Day Care in Postcode 4514 only and must be 12 years & under - Proof to be provided at time of nomination 30 - LOCAL AREA EVENTS HELD ON FRIDAY 19th JUNE 2015 ARE FOR PERMANENT RESIDENTS AND THEIR HORSES OF MORETON BAY REGIONAL COUNCIL AREA AND POST CODE Unless otherwise stated, Rules and Regulations relating to Individual Breed/Associations will be used as a guide only- Judges Decision is final The Committee reserves the right to amend, combine or cancel any event.
