2 General Information Organizers: MK Fencing Academy with the cooperation of UAE Fencing Federation, Dubai Sports Council and Super Sports Academy Venue: Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex here Participation: All countries, clubs, affiliates and individuals from all over the world are welcomed to participate. Competition management: - Individual competitions: In the first round the poul groups will be formed according to the numbers of participants - The championship shall be conducted according to the FIE rules, in case of disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the latest FIE version shall prevail. - The Director Technique will, however, reserve the right to decide, without right of appeal, on any issues not covered by the FIE Rules or by these Rules. - The championship will be conducted according to the following ages: 1. Under 15 years old (epee) male and female. 2. Open (epee) male and female. Formula: Individual competitions: *The pouls will be formed according to the participants number in each category. Age groups: *Under 15: - The player must be 10 years or older and less than 15 years old by 31 December of the same year sports season - FIE rules for pouls and direct elimination * Open: - The player must be 13 years or older by 31 December of the same year sports season. - FIE rules for pouls and direct elimination Equipment: Refer to FIE Technical Rules Director technique: The director technique committee is responsible for the technical management of the championship. Rules: Latest FIE version of the rules will be followed at this championship

3 Equipment: Open Men and Women FIE 1600 N Mask. Other equipment 800 N: jacket, fencing pants, under plastron. Fencing socks that cover the knees (any colour except black) and an epee. For all female fencer s plastic chest protection is required U15 Boys and Girls 350 N: mask, jacket, under plastron, fencing pants. 5 Transportation: MKFA will provide free transportation on both days of the event from the hotel to the event venue and back as follows: From hotel: 7:15am From event: After the final of each day Lunch: MKFA will provide complimentary lunch for all fencers and delegations at the event venue on 15 th and 16 th December Visas and Vaccination: Visiting nations should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into United Arab Emirates prior to travelling to the event. The MK Fencing Academy and UAE Fencing Federation will provide specific letters of invitation and will help issuing the visas that cost 25 US dollars, which does not include insurance and medical coverage. For information if you need a visa or vaccinations please contact your nearest Embassy or Consulate. Entry Visas, if needed, are usually arranged by hotel upon confirmation of booking.
