DRD Office: In a demountable building adjacent to the race control tower Control Line: Located at the Finish Line and across Pit Exit 2.1 ENTRIES ADMINISTRATION Competitors must have completed the 2018 Supercars Entry Registration Form Administration checking will commence at 0830hrs (AEST) on Thursday 19 th July All Wildcard entries will be required to present their International Competitor Licence, Drivers Car Club Membership, Driver Competition Licence, CAMS Super Licence and if applicable, international Visa to the Supercars Operations Truck no later than 1400hrs (AEST) Thursday 19 th July For this Event, delete Rule A5.1.1 in its entirety and replace with the following: Each Driver must hold a: CAMS International Circuit Competition licence (minimum C Grade), or an International licence (minimum C Grade) issued by an ASN to participate in any practice Session CAMS Superlicence in addition to either a CAMS International Circuit Competition licence (minimum C Grade), or an International licence (minimum C Grade) issued by an ASN to participate in any Session other than a practice Session at an Event Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 2018 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to the commencement of the Competitor s Authorised Representatives Briefing on Thursday 19 th July Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 2 of 9

3 2.1.6 No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1700hrs (AEST) on Thursday 19 th July 2018 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time. 2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers Accreditation will be required from Friday 20 th July Each entry will be allocated four (4) car passes for the Teams Car Park Each Team caterer will be allocated one (1) transit car pass for the sole purpose of delivering supplies. These cars are not permitted to park in the paddock, and must park in the Teams Car Park. 2.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS The credential centre is located on the corner of Champions Way and Cunningham Highway in the Drag Strip Driveway (will be sign posted) The credential centre will be open at the following times: Thursday 19 th July Friday 20 th July Saturday 21 st July Sunday 22 nd July SCRUTINEERING TECHNICAL Scrutineering will commence at 0730hrs on Friday 20 th July MINIMUM WEIGHT In accordance with the requirements of Rule C4.1.1, all Wildcard Entry Drivers that have not competed in a race of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, will be required for weighing by Supercars Officials at 1115hrs on Friday 20 th July 2018, in the scales garage. 4.1 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY SPORTING In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Willowbank BRIEFINGS A briefing for all Competitor s Authorised Representatives will be held at 1700hrs (AEST) on Thursday 19 th July 2018 in the Supercars Paddock Club, located on Corporate Hill A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1730hrs (AEST) on Friday 20 th July 2018 in the in the Supercars Paddock Club, located on Corporate Hill. 4.3 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900hrs on Thursday 19 th July 2018 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock. 4 4.3.2 In accordance with the provisions of rule D handback tyres will be returned to the Team once stripped and marked by Dunlop. Once stripped from a control rim, handback tyres are not to be refitted to a control rim for the remainder of the Event For the avoidance of doubt and absolute clarity, the four (4) pre-marked tyres permitted for the Additional Driver in table D are only permitted to be used during the Additional Driver s practice Session. 4.4 PRACTICE The Driver of a Wildcard Entry is permitted to Compete in the additional Driver practice Session Rule D does not apply to the Driver of a Wildcard Entry. 4.5 COMPULSORY PIT STOPS For race 19 only, the following additional CPS requirements must be complied with: Each Car must complete one (1) CPS A Car may only complete its CPS after it commences lap 5 on the Race Track During the CPS, the Control Tyres removed from the Car cannot be refitted to the Car during that CPS The Penalty for failure to complete a CPS will be a Time Penalty added to that Car s race time Should the SC be deployed prior to the leader commencing lap 5 on the Race Track, and the SC period continues after the commencement of lap 5, the CPS window will not open. Teams will be updated as to when the window will open via RMC and the Instant Messenger. 5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK OPERATIONS The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of the Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate Teams that do not utilise the Wash It truck wash on Wednesday 18 th July 2018 must not enter the Supercars paddock before 0830hrs on Thursday 19 th July Transporter unload must not commence prior to 0930hrs on Thursday 19 th July Subject to Supplementary Regulation 2.2.4, no passenger vehicles are to enter the Supercars paddock. 5.2 RACE TRACK WALK Teams are permitted to undertake a Race Track walk on Thursday 19 th July 2018 between 1330hrs and 1700hrs. 5.3 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT Unless otherwise advised by the Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 1830hrs (AEST) on Sunday 22 nd July PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE MARKETING Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by the Supercars Media and Promotions Department. 5 7.1 EVENT OPERATING HOURS SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule E2 are as follows: Friday 20 th July Saturday 21 st July 0825 after VCS Race Sunday 22 nd July 0830 after VCS Race MEDICAL SERVICES The Medical Centre is located at pit entry, near scrutineering and will be operational during the following times: Thursday 19 th July Friday 20 th July Saturday 21 st July Sunday 22 nd July Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. 6 7.9 WASTE OIL All waste oil is to be placed into the waste oil receptacles provided. Look for the signs UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAV) PROHIBITION Be advised that the use (operation) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, or other similar devices, by any Competitor, Team, Team member or person/s associated with a Team or Competitor is prohibited This prohibition extends for the period of the Event defined as the Event period over the Event area defined as the Event area It also includes the prohibition of the use (operation) of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), drone or similar device from outside the declared area of the Event over the declared area during the Event period A breach of this prohibition will result in the exclusion from the Event for any offending Competitor and or Team and Driver/s. All credentials or admission tickets issued to any offending Competitor or Team, and associated personnel will also be withdrawn. The prohibition and Penalty for a breach of same as outlined above, is in addition to any Penalty/Penalties that may occur as a result of Civil Aviation Authority (CASA) regulations in relation to the use of UAVs in controlled airspace, and over areas containing significant numbers of people.
