The Event will be known as the Coates Hire Sydney 500 (hereinafter referred to as the Event ) which will also comprise races 28 & 29 of the 206 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship ( the VCS ), and be held at Sydney Olympic Park Street Circuit, Sydney, New South Wales on 2 nd 4 th December ORGANISATION & STATUS.2. The Event will be held under the International Sporting Code of the Federation Internationale de l Automobile (FIA), the Supercars Operations Manual ( the Rules ), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued..2.2 Event Status: Restricted International.3 ADMINISTRATION & EVENT STAFF.3. ENTRIES 2.. Competitors must have completed the 206 V8 Supercars Entry Registration Form Administration checking will commence at 400 on Wednesday 30 th November Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 206 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars office prior to the commencement of the Competitor s Team Managers Briefing on Thursday st December No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 700 (ADST) on Thursday st December 206 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time. 2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING 2.2. The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers Accreditation will be required from Thursday st December Each entry will be allocated with: x P6 parking pass to park in P6, access via Australia Avenue x P5 parking passes to park in P5, access via Hill Road or Holker Street Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 2

3 x paddock transit pass to park in P, access via Hill Road. All vehicles parking in P must be in the car park by 0700 each morning and will not be able to leave until 830 each evening Car passes will only be valid on Friday 2 nd, Saturday 3 rd and Sunday 4 th December. Any parking in the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct outside of these times will need to follow the direction of the street signage If Teams have to stay past midnight and they have vehicles parked in car parks with individual day tickets, they are advised to move their car out of the car park prior to midnight and park within the paddock, providing they have their hard card accreditation with them. Any vehicles parked in the paddock must be removed prior to CHAPTER 3 - TECHNICAL 3. SCRUTINEERING 3.. Scrutineering will commence at 0730 on Friday 2 nd December SAFETY HARNESS 3.2. Further to Rule C5.2, it is not permitted to attach any type of elastic or other springing medium/device to the shoulder elements of the approved safety harness. 3.3 BODYWORK 3.3. Delete Rule C6..8 and replace with the following: 6..8 The minimum weight for any front bumper bar with freestanding headlights, excluding its mounting system, is 2.5kg 3.5kg The minimum weight for any front bumper bar and headlights moulded as a unitary item, excluding its mounting system, is 5.5kg 6.5kg Teams are allowed to ballast their front bumper bar to achieve the minimum weight stipulated in C6..8 and C The ballast must be securely attached to the bar at a location suitable to the Teams. 3.4 REAR VISION MIRRORS 3.4. Delete Rule C6.5.2 and replace with the following: C6.5.2 A Car must be fitted with both a left and right hand side external rear vision mirror. If the left hand side external rear vision mirror is removed, the opening must be covered. The use of race tape to cover the opening is permitted. 3.5 CONTROL ELECTRICAL PACKAGE 3.5. PIT RELEASE 4.. A Car must observe all signals (lights or otherwise) at pit exit. 4.2 SUSPENDING & RESUMING RACES 4.2. Further to Rules D and D0..9, Teams must not move onto the track or enter the fast lane until their Car has stopped. 4.3 PARC FERMÉ 4.3. In accordance with Rule D4.. Parc Fermé will be as follows: Qualifying (including the shootout) in Pit Lane Races 28 and 29 Cars will enter the halls via the Pit Lane, from the pit entry end of Pit Lane. 4.4 MARKINGS ON CARS 4.4. Delete Rules D and D Any font used must be legible by both timekeepers and trackside officials. CHAPTER 5 - OPERATIONS 5. ACCESS TO PADDOCK 5.. The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars Transporters must not enter the paddock before 400 on Wednesday 30 th November No passenger vehicles are to enter the Supercars paddock, unless permission is given from Supercars. 5.2 RACE TRACK WALK 5.2. Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk on Thursday st December 206 from All Team personnel participating in the Race Track walk must wear a high visibility vest. 6 5.3 BRIEFINGS 5.3. A briefing for all Competitor s Team Managers will be held at 730 on Thursday st December 206 in POD 2 South, level, adjacent to the Supercars Paddock A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 730 on Friday 2 nd December 206 in POD 2 South, level, adjacent to the Supercars Paddock. 5.4 TYRE FITTINGS 5.4. Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900 on Thursday st December 206 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock. 5.5 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT 5.5. Unless otherwise advised by Supercars, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 2000 hours on Sunday 4 th December PIT BUILDING 5.6. Teams are not permitted to screw, drill, glue or mark the pit building in anyway and any tape must be removed by the Team post Event. CHAPTER 6 - MARKETING 6. PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE 6.. Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by Supercars On Saturday morning, all Cars and Drivers will be required to participate in the Farewell Parade. This activity will consist of Cars and Drivers doing a parade lap as scheduled from 0920 to Then Cars and Drivers will enter Olympic Boulevard and park up from 0930 to GRID WALK 6.2. Where permitted, movement of non-team personnel on and off the grid must only be via the point/s as described in the Competitor s Team Managers Briefing Promotional staff, Drivers and those listed on the D24 personnel list are the only people permitted on the grid in addition to those that are wearing a grid sticker. CHAPTER 7 - SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 7. EVENT OPERATING HOURS 7.. The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule D28 are as follows: 7...
