2 BIAF, Beirut International Awards Festivals, is an annual event that honors distinguished personalities from various fields (Art, Politics, Culture, Music, Finance and Humanitarian services). This unique festival introduces distinguished personalities and figures that have had a special and unique mark in communities and fields all over the world. The committee of BIAF is selected from all disciplines, and that is done for the important purpose of collecting and merging those individuals' significant experiences in their respective fields. The goal of this committee is to honor people who deserve special recognition, and to shed light on their career, history and heritage. This superior committee represents a large segment of people seeking to honor the best. In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, BIAF will be an outdoor event this year, In June 12 and will take place at YACHT CLUB HOTEL, Zaitunay Bay, Beirut!

3 On the day following the event, Prime Minister Tamam Salam held reception for all BIAF honorees and committee members. BIAF s president Dr. Michel Daher presented his Excellency with a trophy in his honor. This Year, in Collaboration with the MINISTRY OF TOURISM BIAF will open the season of all the Lebanese Festivals!

4 Every year, a star is placed on stage during the festival s opening. This star is dedicated to a past international icon. For instance, in 2011, the star was dedicated to Gibran Khalil Gibran!. In 2012, the star was dedicated to Professor Michael Dabaghi. In 2013, the star was dedicated to Assi and Mansour Rahbani. in 2014, the star was dedicated to William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the Lebanese Creators of Tom & Jerry. Following the festival, this star is placed in a specialized garden in Downtown Beirut along with a sculpture presenting the icon.

5 Furthermore, VIP personalities from several fields, such as politicians, journalists, artists and public figures, are invited to this grand festival. A royal reception, which includes luxurious limousines, a red carpet, a wall of fame and a golden book, is held for the honorees who attend the festival.

6 A broad, professional media and public relations campaign is carefully selected for the festival. The various TV channels that covered the event last year, explained during the news how BIAF is a prestigious and cultural event. A magazine elaborating on the rewarded personnel s achievements is distributed during the ceremony. A personalized paragraph, hand-written by each honoree, is then published in the magazine.

7 In 2010, BIAF honored the following distinguished personalities: - His Excellency Fouad el Turk - Carol Semaha - Yahya fakharany - Leyla Roustom - Khaled Youssof - Mohammad Baalbaki - Marcel Khalife - Samara - Hrair - David Frem - Nicolas jebran - Ghada Abdel Razek in which Miss Lebanon 2010 Rahaf Abdallah opened the event and placed the star on the stage.

8 In 2011, BIAF honored the following distinguished personalities: - Alexy Leonov - Sabah Fakhry - Assy Hellany - Mahmoud Yassine - Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih - Abdelrahman Elbacha - Samira Said - Sulaf Fawakherji - Roula Hamadeh - Abdelmajd Majzoub - May Arida - Jack Sarraf - Nabila Obeid - Raya Daouk - Guvder - Hiba Tawaji - Maysa Maghreby - Youssef El Khal - Moussa Zgheib - Chawki Majari in which Haifa wehbe opened the event and placed the star on the stage.

9 In 2012, BIAF honored the following distinguished personalities: - Professor Philip Salem - Professor Edgar Choueiry - Caracalla Group - Loubna Abdel Aziz - Venus Gata - Latifa - Hani Chaker - Jose Galvez - Elias Rahbani - Sirine Abdel Nour - Pierre Dagher in which Miss Universe Oksana Federova opened the event and placed the star on the stage.
