4 2018 UPCOMING MILESTONES AND CURRENT NOTES With the 2018 season underway for the Dallas Cowboys, the following information pertains to the most current notes, rankings and upcoming milestones: 2018 DALLAS COWBOYS CURRENT TEAM RANKINGS: * The Dallas defense ranks fourth overall in total defense, limiting it s opponents to yards-per-game (TOP FIVE D - page 14). * The Cowboys are holding opposing offenses to 14.5 points -per-game - third-fewest in the NFL (POINTS HARD TO COME BY - page 14). * By holding opponents to 29 points in the first two games, it marks the fewest points allowed by a Dallas defense in the team s opening two games since the 1996 season when the Cowboys limited opponents to 22 points (POINTS HARD TO COME BY - page 14). * Additionally, the Cowboys defense has now held their opponents to under 20 points in three straight contests dating back to the 2017 season finale at Philadelphia (12/31/17) (POINTS HARD TO COME BY - page 14). * Dallas defensive unit ranks fifth against the pass (183.0 yards-per-game). * The Cowboys have logged 9.0 sacks through the first two games - second-most in the NFL (THE HOT BOYS - page 14). * Collectively, Dallas 9.0 sacks are tied for the third-highest tally by a Cowboys defense following the first two games of a season in team history (since sacks became official in 1982) (THE HOT BOYS - page 14) DALLAS COWBOYS UPCOMING MILESTONES - INDIVIDUAL: Tavon Austin - WR * Tavon Austin (currently at 4,842) needs 158 total yards to reach 5,000 career all-purpose yards. Giants served as the Dallas Cowboys 40th overall win (regular season and postseason) at AT&T Stadium. * It was also the Cowboys third straight win against New York - the club s longest streak against the Giants since a five-game streak from * The Cowboys record in home openers at AT&T Stadium moved to 6-4. * Veterans Ibraheim Campbell and Rico Gathers all made their Cowboys debuts. * The Cowboys defense recorded 6.0 sacks in the game, the first time the unit has posted six-or-more sacks since logging 6.0 at Arizona (9/25/17) last season. * Of the six sacks, each was by a different defender Taco Charlton, Tyrone Crawford, Kavon Frazier, DeMarcus Lawrence, Damien Wilson and Antwaun Woods. The last time the Cowboys had six different players record at least one sack in a game was Nov. 9, 1997 against Arizona when Darren Woodson (1.0), Shante Carver (2.0), Tony Tolbert (2.0), Bill Bates (1.0), Broderick Thomas (1.0) and Charlie Williams (1.0) all had at least one sack in a win. GIANTS (9/16) - INDIVIDUAL: Tavon Austin - WR * Tavon Austin caught two passes for a team-high 79 yards and a touchdown, and rushed once for 15 yards. * Austin caught a 64-yard pass for a score on the third play of the game to mark his longest pass reception for a touchdown since he caught a 66-yard touchdown against San Francisco (11/1/15) while with the St. Louis Rams. * Austin s 79 yards were his highest yards receiving since he logged 82 at Tampa Bay (9/25/16) while with the Rams. Taco Charlton - DE * Taco Charlton posted a sack and collected his first career fumble. Kavon Frazier - S * Kavon Frazier collected his first career sack in the second quarter. Ezekiel Elliott - RB * Ezekiel Elliott rushed 15 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. * Elliott s 15 carries gave him 579 for his career and allowed him to top Felix Jones (569) for 12th on the club s all-time rushing attempts list. * Kavon Frazier made his first career start. Kavon Frazier - S DeMarcus Lawrence - DE * DeMarcus Lawrence played in his 50th career game. * Lawrence had one sack to mark his second consecutive game with a quarterback takedown. * Lawrence s sack gave him 25.5 for his career - third-highest by a player in his first 50 games in team history since 1982 (TANK ON A ROLL - page 14). Dak Prescott - QB * Dak Prescott completed 16 passes on 25 attempts for 160 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. * Prescott improved to 18-1 when he doesn t commit a turnover in a game (DAK S RECORD WHEN... - page 10). * With Prescott s scoring toss, he broke a tie with Eddie LeBaron (45) for sole possession of seventh on the club s all-time passing touchdowns list with 46 (DAK TO THE FUTURE - page 10). * Prescott s 25 pass attempts allowed him to become the seventh quarterback in team history to reach 1,000 in a career (1,003). * Prescott also rushed seven times for a career-high 45 yards to allow him to become the fifth quarterback in team history to reach 700 career rushing yards (703) (RAYNE MAN - page 11). Antwaun Woods - DT * Antwaun Woods took down Eli Manning in the second quarter to notch his first career sack. 5

HEAD COACHES H PETE CARROLL ( , 10th Year, Sea) Named head coach on January 11, 2010, Pete Carroll became the eighth head coach in Seahawks history after one of the most successful runs in USC history in the college ranks. He brings 24 years of NFL experience and 19 years of collegiate experience to Seattle. In 2016 he became the 39th head coach in NFL history with 100 wins in the regular season. In his eight seasons as head coach in Seattle, Carroll and General Manager John Schneider constructed the best teams in Seahawks history over the past six seasons with a combined record, backto-back Super Bowl appearances in , posted 10-plus wins in five consecutive seasons ( ) for the first time in franchise history and won four NFC West Division titles. Seattle has advanced to the divisional round in six of Carroll s eight seasons as coach, winning two NFC Championships and one Super Bowl, while claiming the top seed in the NFC twice, and third time in franchise history (2005 under Mike Holmgren, ). The Seahawks won their 10th division title in franchise history in 2016 with a record. The team won its ninth division title in club history in 2014, third under Carroll, after winning the NFC West with a 12-4 record. Seattle fell to New England, 28-24, in Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Ariz. Carroll led Seattle to its first Super Bowl title in franchise history with a 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII in New York/New Jersey on February 2, 2014, after a franchise-best 13-3 regular season record, and joined Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer as the only coaches to win a college football national title and a Super Bowl in their career. He began his NFL career as defensive backs coach for Buffalo (1984) and Minnesota ( ) before becoming the N.Y. Jets defensive coordinator ( ) and head coach (1994). He spent two years as San Francisco s defensive coordinator ( ), leading the league in total defense in 1995, before leading New England to a record and two playoff appearances as head coach ( ). JASON GARRETT (68-54, 8th Year) Jason Garrett was named the eighth head coach in Dallas Cowboys history on January 5, Garrett became the first former Dallas Cowboys player to become the team s head coach. As a backup quarterback during his playing career in Dallas, he started nine-of-23 games played and was a member of teams that won six division titles and three Super Bowl championships. Garrett was elevated to the Cowboys top job after taking over as the team s interim head coach midway through He guided the club to a 5-3 mark to finish the season after the team started 1-7. He led Dallas to an 8-8 record, narrowly missing the playoffs and an NFC East Division title in each his first three full seasons as head coach ( ). Garrett guided the 2014 squad to an NFL-best tying 12-4 record, the club s 22nd Division title - 18th NFC East title - 31st postseason appearance and 34th playoff win. His team fought through adversity in 2015, especially on the injury front where they endured injuries to Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and Orlando Scandrick amongst others, while slipping to 4-12 on the season. The team bounced back under Garrett in 2016, completing the club s largest one-season turnaround in franchise history with a nine-game difference, finishing with a 13-3 record in The record included beginning the season 0-1 and going on to win 11 straight games - the longest single-season win streak in team history. Garrett s Cowboys won their second division championship with him at the helm, while earning the NFC s top overall seed and hosting an NFC Divisional Playoff Game for the first time since He was named AP Coach of the Year for his team s 2016 accomplishments. The 2017 Cowboys finished 9-7, just missing the playoffs, but their record gave them back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since From , when Garrett was brought on board as the Cowboys offensive coordinator, the unit finished among the NFL s top-10 in total offense in five of his seven years at the helm: 2013 (10th), 2012 (6th), 2010 (10th), 2009 (2nd) and 2007 (2nd).
