The Sooners will be playing their first home game since Jan. 13. The Sooners' young squad has played just two leagues games on their home court this season, the fewest of any team in the Big 12. A win would mark OU's first victory over Baylor since Feb. 27, 2015 in Norman. u Sophomore guard Ana Llanusa has been a key part of OU's offense since her return to action at the start of conference play. Llanusa leads OU and ranks 13th in the Big 12 with 14.5 points per game in conference play. The sophomore scored a career-high 35 points at Iowa State on Jan. 19, the most points scored by a Sooner in a Big 12 game since u Freshman guard Taylor Robertson ranks fifth in the country with pointers per game and ranks seventh nationally with 63 made 3-pointers this season. She continues to lead the conference in 3-point shooting percentage (.444) and free throw percentage (.902). u Sophomore guard Shaina Pellington picked up her fourth 20-point scoring game of the season, adding 24 points off the bench at TCU last Thursday. The sophomore finished 10-of-18 from the field against the Horned Frogs. Pellington's 24 points were the most points in a game for the sophomore since Dec. 22 at SMU. The Pickering, Ontario, native is 12th in the conference with 14.5 points per game. u Oklahoma's top seven scorers are in their first or second year of Division I basketball with four of the seven being freshmen. Freshman guard Taylor Robertson ranks ninth in the Big 12 in scoring with 15.9 points per game this season and leads the conference with 63 made 3-pointers. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT. OU is looking for its first win over the Lady Bears since Feb. 27, Sunday's game will be televised on FSN with Ron Thulin (playby-play) and Brenda VanLengen (analyst) on the call. The contest will air on the Sooner Radio Network (KOKC 1520 AM in Oklahoma City; KREF 99.3 FM/1400 AM in Norman; TuneIn Radio App) with Brian Brinkley calling the action. GAME 17 RECAP: TCU Shaina Pellington led the way with 24 points off the bench, but it would not be enough as a fast start by TCU was too much for Oklahoma to overome as the Sooners fell Four early 3-pointers from TCU in the opening quarter allowed the Horned Frogs to build a lead. Ana Llanusa chipped in eight points and matched her career high with four steals. Ijeoma Odimgbe tied her career-high with four blocks. TCU's Jordan Moore earned a double-double with a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds. Moore was 10- for-15 from the field and recorded four blocks. Lauren Heard added a career-high 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting for the Frogs. In her first game since Nov. 9, Llanusa added 11 points, six rebounds and three assists off the bench in 25 minutes against Texas Tech. She followed up with a season-high 14 points at Kansas State on Jan. 5 off the bench. The sophomore missed 10 games due to foot surgery. Llanusa leads the Sooners with 14.5 points per game during Big 12 play, which also ranks 13th in the league. At Iowa State, the sophomore turned in the best performance of her collegiate career, finishing with career-highs of 35 points, 15 made free throws and four steals. Llanusa's 35 points are the most scored by a Big 12 player in a game this season and are the most by a Sooner in a single game since Llanusa's 35 points rank as the seventh-most scored by a Sooner in a Big 12 game. She joins Aaryn Ellenberg, Courtney Paris (twice), Danielle Robinson and Phylesha Whaley (twice) as the only OU players to score 35-plus points against a Big 12 opponent. Llanusa returned to the starting lineup against Texas on Jan. 9 and has scored 10-plus points four times in her first six games back from injury. TRACKING T-ROB Taylor Robertson has quickly made her mark as one of the top 3-point shooters in the country so far this season. She has also won Big 12 Freshman of the Week four times this season Robertson ranks fifth nationally in 3-pointers per game (3.71) and sixth in 3-point field goals made (63). She is on pace to break the Big 12 record for 3-pointers per game, which was set by Laurie Koehn (3.59) of Kansas State during the season. Robertson, along with Texas Tech's Chrislyn Carr and Kentucky's Rhyne Howard, are the only three freshmen to lead their respective teams in scoring so far this season. Robertson set the school record for most consecutive games with a 3-pointer to begin a season. The freshman made at least one 3-pointer in 15 straight games to begin the season, which set a school record. The freshman's 15 straight games is the sixth-best streak ever by a Sooner. Robertson saw her streak end last Saturday against Iowa State. Robertson is second on OU's freshman record list with 63 made 3-pointers. Aaryn Ellenberg holds the OU freshman record with 94 treys during the season. Through 17 games, Robertson has five 20-point scoring games and led OU with 23 points on 8-for-15 shooting against UConn. Robertson's 23 points are the most scored by an individual player against the Huskies this season. NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP After becoming the seventh OU player to win Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2018, Shaina Pellington has continued to put up strong numbers as a sophomore. Pellington averaged 13.1 points per game and posted a.492 field goal percentage as a freshman. Pellington led the Sooners with 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting at TCU. THE DUAL THREAT Freshman guard/forward Madi Williams has made an immediate impact for the Sooners offensively and on the glass. She has recorded at least 10 rebounds in seven games and is averaging a team-best 8.9 rebounds per game (ranks fifth in the Big 12) to go along with 12.4 points per contest. The Fort Worth, Texas, product ranks seventh nationally among Division I freshmen in rebounds per game. Williams added 14 points on Tuesday at TCU. Against Texas on Jan. 9, Williams scored 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting and collected six rebounds off the bench in 36 minutes of action. Williams has five double-doubles this season, which ranks third in the Big 12. Only Courtney Paris (31, ) and Caton Hill (6, ) have recorded more double-doubles as freshmen in the Sherri Coale era. #PRIME19 Oklahoma put together the No. 11 signing class in the nation according to Prospects Nation. The Sooners will add forward Chloe Bloom (Weddeburn, Australia), guard Gabby Gregory (Sapulpa, Okla./Holland Hall Prep) and forward Liz Scott (Tomball, Texas/Klein Oak HS) to their roster for the season. OU has signed a consensus top-15 recruiting classes in each of the last three seasons. Scott is rated as a five-star recruit by Prospects Nation (No. 2 forward/no. 9 overall) and a four-star recruit by ESPN Hoop Gurlz (No. 15 wing/no. 76 overall). A 5-11 guard, Gregory was named the Tulsa World s Prep Player of the Year after averaging 31.2 points per game as a junior, crossing the 2,000-point mark after her third prep season. The Sapulpa, Okla., native is ranked as the No. 23 guard and No. 87 overall prospect by ESPN Hoop Gurlz, while Prospects Nation tabs Gregory as the No. 22 guard and No. 112 overall prospect in the 2019 class. Bloom, a 6-3 forward from Wedderburn, Australia, is regarded as one of the top international prospects in the 2019 class and considered a four-star recruit by Prospects Nation. Bloom enrolled at OU in January and will redshirt during the second semester. She is the second Australian to sign with the Sooners joining Jamie Anderson, who played at OU from QUICK HITS Taylor Robertson became the first player in the Big 12 to win four Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors during non-conference play since Baylor's Britney Griner accomplished the feat in Jessi Murcer leads all Big 12 guards in field goal percentage at a.526 clip.
