2 Trimaine Davis At the age of 16 was hit by a car traveling 45 mph while crossing the street and was slammed into a telephone pole. Doctors thought that he would never play sports again. Following two months in the hospital and an additional four months of recovery, Davis switched his athletic focus from football to basketball. Founded student-athlete leadership group Ko-Ailition. The organization for African- American student-athletes is just the third of its kind in the country (Ohio State and Oklahoma). Wears jersey number 20 and dedicates his college success to his good friend, Greg Ashford, a Pittsburg High basketball player, who died in a drowning accident during Davis senior year of high school.

5 Travis Hanour Grew eight inches between his freshman and junior years of high school, going from 5-9 to 6-5. Plays the guitar and has performed in studio for a local television sports show (he played Don t Panic by Coldplay). Has four tattoos, all Christian related. On his right shoulder he has a cross with a basketball inside and a dove with an olive branch in its mouth. Down his left arm he has the phrase Salvation through Jesus Christ written in Aramaic and on his right calf, the phrase The Way. Didn t play high school basketball as a sophomore.

6 # 5 Travis Hanour Guard Senior - 1 Letter Laguna Beach, Calif. Laguna Beach High Univ. of Arizona Hanour Tidbits During the season, San Diego State posted an 11-7 record in games in which Hanour played and a 7-9 record when he was unable to go. The Aztecs are 9-5 in games in which Hanour scores. Hanour enters the season having missed 35 consecutive San Diego State games due to injury. His last action came on March 1, 2003, in SDSU s victory at Wyoming. Those around the program hope Hanour will have his first injuryfree season at San Diego State... Entering his third season on The Mesa, Hanour has played in just 18 games in his two seasons at SDSU and has had two knee surgeries since he last saw action in a game... Although his three-year stats aren t exactly eye-popping, the medical and coaching staffs hope that off-season surgery will allow Hanour to go through a season healthy for the first time and he will finally be able to show why he was a projected starter for the Arizona Wildcats before transferring prior to the season... An athletic, intelligent performer, Hanour was the Aztecs best player during the first month of practice prior to the season, but difficulty with tendinitis in both knees limited his playing time and productivity. Summer Update (2004) Had surgery on his right knee on April 7th to alleviate chronic tendinitis... This is the same surgery Hanour had performed on his left knee last spring (exactly 51 weeks earlier to the day)... The surgery has relegated Hanour to the weight room, and will likely keep him off the court until October... He is not expected to miss any practice time due to the surgery. As A Junior ( ) Continued to be plagued by injuries, missing the entire season due to a variety of ailments... Underwent left knee surgery on April 14th to eliminate chronic tendinitis... That surgery kept him off the court during the summer... Played his first fullcourt pick-up game on Sept While not able to play, Hanour spent quality time in the weight room and added considerable muscle to his upper body... Was unable to participate in preseason conditioning because of the surgery, but started practicing with the team in October... Suffered a bulging disc and did not practice with the team from Nov. 2-Dec Practiced with the team for 30 minutes on Dec. 29 and was practicing every day since, until suffering a sprained ankle which forced him to miss games during January... 8 Brandon Heath Through his first full year (fall, spring and summer semesters), Heath has completed 41 college units. He is on pace to be classified as a junior academically following the 2004 Fall semester. Teamed with Marcus Slaughter and Matt Thomas to claim the 2004 Pro City championship in Los Angeles. The summer league, formerly known as the Say No Classic, featured 20 teams. Brandon Heath, Marcus Slaughter and Chris Walton personalized their own Nike Air Hurrache 2K4 basketball shoes. The trio designed different shoes for home and away games and plan to wear them during the season.

Walton has attended more than 50 Grateful Dead concerts during his lifetime. Last October had a Terrapin Turtle tattoo, a symbol of the Grateful Dead, placed on his left shoulder. The turtle has both hands above its head with a Steal Your Face tambourine in one hand and a spinning basketball in the other.
