The Huskies held Clarion to 38.5% shooting from the floor (20-52) and without a single 3-pointer (0-8). Camden Boehner netted a career high 13 points on Tuesday at Clarion while Jocelyn Ford also registered 13 points, a season high. Ford tallied 11 points during the first half alone. The Huskies hit a season-best 10 3-pointers in the win at Clarion, shooting 47.6% from beyond the arc (10-21). Assistant Coach: Diane Decker On Wednesday night, the Huskies won their seventh straight game, using a career high 28 points from senior Marla Simmons to hold off Pitt-Johnstown, 82-73, in overtime. Along with Simmons stellar night, senior guard Jocelyn Ford added a season high 18 points and graduate guard Taylor Maldonado also netted 19 points as the Huskies won their 15th straight true road game. East vs. West: Today s game will see a pair of divisional leaders do battle. The Huskies took over sole possession of first place in the PSAC East standings on Wednesday, moving to 5-0 in the conference while West Chester suffered its first loss of the year, a setback at Gannon. IUP comes into Saturday s game tied for first in the West with California (PA). Both IUP and Cal are undefeated in conference play, but IUP is the only team left in the PSAC with an overall unblemished record (9-0). Stat Leaders: Taylor Maldonado leads the Huskies in scoring at 13.1 points per game on the year while Marla Simmons (11.9 ppg) and Adreana Sadowski (11.0) also average in double figures. Sadowski paces the team on the glass, averaging 8.8 rebounds per game, while Jocelyn Ford continues to add an all-around game (8.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 2.6 apg). GAME NOTES Scouting IUP: IUP enters today s game red hot after winning its first nine games of the season to rise into the national rankings at No. 25 this week. The Crimson Hawks have often been dominant, winning their last five games by double digits including PSAC crossover wins this week over Mansfield (89-56) and Lock Haven (70-59). IUP is second in the conference in scoring this year, averaging 78.9 points per game behind the PSAC s leading scorer, senior guard Lindsay Stamp who averages 20.4 points per game. Where the Crimson Hawks truly excel, though, is defensively - IUP allows a PSAC-low 54.3 points per game. Bloomsburg is second Series History: The Huskies and Hawks have had an interesting recent history against each other. Arguably one of the biggest wins of the season came at IUP when the Huskies knocked off the then-no. 20 Crimson Hawks, 74-62, at the Kovalchick Complex. The Huskies limited IUP to 32.8 percent shooting from the floor that night, earning some revenge from previous meetings in recent years. Jocelyn Ford led the way with 20 points and six rebounds and Morgan Klunk netted 12 points. IUP won the previous three matchups, including NCAA Tournament first round victories in 2012 (at Edinboro), 77-76, and 2013 (at Gannon), Bloomsburg also registered a PSAC semifinal win over IUP at Edinboro in The Crimson Hawks have not visited Nelson Field House since Jan. 3, an IUP victory. The last six meetings have either been at IUP (three) or on neutral floors (three).

He hit five in a row during the win over PSU Lehigh Valley on Dec. 1 and made five-of-seven during one span in the second half Tuesday at Clarion. Christian Mortellite, another Huskies player in his first year on the court, then set a personal best with 23 points the next night at UPJ. Senior Moustapha Noumbissi also hauled in career-best 11 rebounds at Clarion, his first double digit effort on the boards. The Crimson Hawks made it backto-back PSAC crossover wins on Wednesday, dominating Lock Haven for a triumph behind four players in double-figure scoring led by Brandon Norfleet s season-high 21 points. Ranked No. 23 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll, IUP had ranked as high as No. 7 earlier in the year.
