4 Meet Our Teams Team 1 Queen of Apostles Netball Team 1 looking good at Downey Park. A er being Team 2 for a couple of years it has taken a bit of ge ng used to the Team 1 tle. This year most of the girls are in year 12, so having reformed in what is an important academic year and not to men on a very busy social year is great to see for the girls and the game of netball. We have 9 team members which is also great having only the bare 7 for most of last year s season. A big welcome to Brianna W who joins the mid court line up. Brianna has fi ed in well as centre and has quickly become known as the work horse of the team as she never stops running and is never out of breath! Louisa S returns to the team and in the off season has been doing cross country training which has paid off as she relessly and very easily blocked the Pine Hill s shooters in the last match. Monica B has recovered well from her off season surgery and played a very strong defensive game. It was great to see Louisa and Monica teaming up again in the defence end. Caitlin D has again been dabbling in defence when not in the centre posi on and had a very strong performance against Arana. Emma L, Emma F and Maddy G con nue to be the quiet achievers of the team, always there and safe hands. For some reason Emma F and Maddy always have smiles on their faces when they catch balls and Emma L has a look of determina on when passing off the ball. Sam D and Bianca P when they are not shoo ng have been taking up wing posi ons. It is great to see the girls breaking out of their circle and going for a run. Their faces certainly tell a different story but when in the wing posi ons their feeds into the circle are spot on! As always the girls are a pleasure to be involved with and are very suppor ve of one another. Sharon and I hope the season will be filled with some great netball but also a lot of laughs! Go Team 1! Claire Fitzsimon Sharon Dent Page 4 of 5

My favourite food is: Ice-cream (wait is that a food) My favourite movie is: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone The last book I read was: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and the Chamber of Secrets The music I like to listen to is: Hip Hop My best subject at school is: Maths My friends call me: Liv or Ollie My most annoying habit is: Spying on my big sister (it's not annoying to me) I find it annoying when: My sister catches me spying on her When I am older I want to be: A dentist The Q of A Netball Bluebirds Cheer as demonstrated enthusiastically by the Team 10 Bluebirds.
