1 National Saddle Clubs Association Happy 50 th Anniversary Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful conclusion to 2014 and are ready for an exciting Enclosed in this packet you will find all of the entry information you will need to enter our 50 th Anniversary Championship Show in Buffalo, Wyoming. Please read each sheet carefully. A reminder about the signature sheet for release of liability, this form is a requirement from our Insurance Company and MUST be signed by each participant or parent/guardian before a contestant may compete. It is permissible to send in more than one sheet with this information for each of your club members. The Board received many positive comments regarding the lighter schedule along with some requests for additional events. This year s schedule has a couple of events added back in along with a change to the team events. These changes were based on contestant feedback along with review of the 2014 Championship Show. I believe that we are working toward a good mix of time spent in competition and time spent enjoying conversation and friendships that developed over the years. Our Officers and Directors do not make these decisions lightly and appreciate the feedback as it helps us in our effort to find the right balance for our Showcation (Time off work that is spent at a horse show or related event, Showcations usually replace traditional vacations (financially, for many years)). Our officers and directors are again hosting the show this year. We had a very successful show in 2014 and have some ideas to make the show a bit smoother. NSCA will again be running the concession stand in its entirety. A very big thank you to Mary Ann Jones, Maria Nyborg and Peggy Huntington along with everyone that helped make the concession stand successful last year. Mary Ann, Maria and Peggy have again agreed to take on the task and Yes they will need your help! Please contact Mary Ann, Maria or Peggy and offer your assistance with a shift or two in the concession stand. Proceeds from the concessions will directly benefit the NSCA and its success with future events. I am positive they will do a fabulous job with the challenge with help from all corners of the NSCA membership. Mary Ann would like to see a signup sheet formed, and commitments made to cover 3 or 4 hour shifts. Please contact Mary Ann : dkjones45@gmail.com Phone: (208) Maria Nyborg: skipn@xl.net Phone: (406) Peggy Huntington: ; Peggy.Huntington@ngc.com Phone: (406) Donations also go a very long way in making our concession stand a larger success. If you know someone that can contribute, or someone that would like to sponsor the concession stand directly please let Mary Ann know. The banquet dinner was a huge success last year and will again be provided by the NSCA with donations being accepted from Banquet attendees. There will be a donation box set up when you are in line to be served up a wonderful Ham supper. Sponsorships of any form are important to a successful year. Our sponsorship director Tonya Kohr (316) will be able to help you decide how you can best help us in this area. Please contact her directly with any ideas, sponsor monies etc. A last note I want to add is a reminder to submit your entries for our photo cover contest. You may enter as many photos as you like for this contest each with a $10 fee. This fee goes directly to our general fund to assist with our day to day operations, or wherever else it may be needed. Also this year for the 50 th you may submit a Throwback Photo for the program for a $5 Fee. I am sure we can all find an entertaining or Historical photo from years gone by. Send your entries to Tonya Kohr, N 119 th W, Sedgwick, KS or stkohr@kanokla.net. We look forward to seeing each of you in July, until then stay safe and enjoy your spring endeavors. Shawn Kohr, President NSCA

2 National Saddle Clubs Association, Inc. 50 th Annual National Championship O-Mok-See Johnson County Fairgrounds, Buffalo WY Entry Information All the information you will need to enter is available here If you are not the person responsible for handling the entries for your Saddle Club for the National Show, please pass this information on immediately. Feel free to make copies of any of the forms. But the most important thing is to let your fellow members know you have this information because all entries need to be postmarked by JUNE 3, (Of course, the earlier the better) After that date, late fees for all events will be charged as explained in the rulebook. Many clubs have not paid the 2015 dues so I may not have current information for contacts. At the 2009 Annual Winter Meeting, the rule changes were made that contestants from a Saddle Club may enter under the Saddle Club once the club dues ($50.00) have been paid to the NSCA, and the required Dues ($100.00) have been paid to the NSCA. The Association Dues cover all Saddle Clubs that belong to NSCA for that state, as well as allowing the state 2 voting delegates at the Board of Directors and Officers Meetings held at the show as well as at the Annual Winter Meeting. NOTE: If you do not belong to a Saddle Club that belongs to the NSCA, you may compete at the Championship O-Mok-See by paying an Individual Horseman membership fee of $ If you have any questions about this process, please don t hesitate to contact me. This is a reminder to the club secretary or representative to please send the entries, for your entire club combined with one check. All returned checks will be assessed a $30 fee plus bank fees. There is a sheet that has all the total fees due including entries, programs, rulebooks, etc. Also, if you are sending in entries for & Team events, please send only one entry blank with everyone on the team entered and pay for the entire team you are entering. This makes it much easier to handle the hundreds of entries that are coming in. Late fees will apply to all events, including Team & events, which have changes or additions after the June 3 deadline as stated in the rulebook. Another change from the last few years is that program changes cannot be made after Tuesday, with Sunday - Tuesday changes made the day prior to the event as in years past. Scott Galloway will be handling all the camping and stall reservations. The forms are posted on the website. If you have any questions, please let me know. Please share all the information with interested people in your club or surrounding area as soon as possible. We are looking forward to another successful National Championship Show and with all your help, we will. Looking forward to seeing you in Wyoming- NSCA Secretary, Sharolyn Davis Lake Shore Dr. Nampa ID (208) nscasecretary@omoksee.com The National Saddle Clubs Association, Inc. will not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, age, national origin, religion or creed.
