Safety A Danger preautions For usage of ladder ergometers: The ladder ergometer is used at one s own risk. Use ladder ergometer only under supervision of your dotor or/and trainer. It is not allowed to use the ladder ergometer without a supervisor. Do not - step onto the mahine before the motor is swithed off and the speed on the display is start the mahine before you are at least at the seond rung from the ground - limb below the seond rung from the ground - stop moving when the ladder is still moving (Press the STOP button before you stop moving) - turn round during exerise - jump off while limbing - use the mahine if you think there is a tehnial defet of the mahine or the pulse measuring system -stop only if in danger or in danger of falling Attention! Dangerous apture area at the end of the ladder ergometer and at any other moving part of the mahine. Please make sure, that, in the ase of a fall, subjets with long hair, wide lothes, jewellery, et. do not get aught in apture area or at any moving part of the mahine. Children and animals are not allowed to use the ladder ergometer and should not get near to it. Interrupt the training immediately if you start feeling sik or dizzy and see your dotor. Subjets with a ardia paemaker or who suffers from any kind of physial restrition should see a dotor before using the ladder ergometer. The subjet must be seured while performing a maximum endurane test. Please keep a safety area of 2,5 meters in front of the ladder ergometer. Expliit warning of improper use. Ensure that the power onnetion able is installed proper and safely and that nobody an stumble or fall over the able. Pay attention to further safety regulations and operation instrutions in the appendix of this instrution manual. Do not drink and eat any lubriation material and no other material or parts of this devie, and keep all lubriation material and all other parts away from hildren and animals. 8 B General Instrutions / Safety This instrution manual is part of the devie and should always be aessible. Exat observane of the instrution manual is a requirement for the appropriate operation of an h/p/osmos devie. S This sign reminds you of paying attention to the enlosed information and to the manual. It also reminds you of onerns whih have to be onsidered for measurements and onnetion with other devies. The safety of your subjets and the ompliane to the mentioned auray of measurement an only be guaranteed, if the onsumption goods, sensors and detetors, desribed in the instrution manual, are being used. Absorption-, leansing- and disinfeting hemials are only to be kept in the appropriate reservoirs. At the onnetion of gas pressure ontainer it has to be examined about its MOT-admissibility (TÜV) first. Pull the plug before leansing or disinfeting eletri devies. We guarantee for the safety. reliability and funtion of its devies only if installation, extension, alteration and repair is performed by authorized people the room for installation orresponds to the DI and VDE installation diretives. the devie is plugged in at a soket with a protetion system. the room for installation orresponds to the requirements of the surroundings for the devie. the devie after the instrution is being used in aordane with the instrution manual. The entry of fluid into the devie has to be removed immediately by the authorized ustomer servie and a safety examination has to be performed. Damaged soket onnetions, wires and pressure ontrol swithes have to be replaed instantly by trained personnel or by authorized persons h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 8

C Instrutions for Safety and Operation The following diretives orrespond to the in the Federal Republi of Germany aknowledged safety model. Please onsider that there may be national disrepanies for other ountries. C1 Eletri Safety Safety Classes In order to protet the athlete and the training personnel the assoiation of German eletrotehniians In, (VDE) has published speial diretives for medial used rooms and eletromedial devies. Devies with a power supply therefore have to, in order to prevent the passing on of the mains voltage over to touhable metal piees, be equipped with not only a reliable isolation of the parts being under voltage but also additional safety preautions. The VDE-assoiation divides it into so alled safety lasses. Of the, for eletro-medial devies, liensed safety lasses are mainly used the safety lass I (i.e. safety preautions with protetive wiring), and the safety lass II, (i.e. safety measures without protetive wiring but with double isolation): Devies of the safety lass I are devies, where the metalli asing-parts are onneted with the protetive wire of the line net via the safety ontat. In the ase of an isolation error the inserted fuse element swithes off. Subjet's Surroundings The surroundings of the subjet should have a gap of 1.5 m as it has been proofed by experiene; this has been laid down here as the surrounding. r 1,5 m Subjet's surroundings 2008 h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 9

Protetion against the Danger of Eletrial Shoks Casing and over: Parts of non-medial eletri devies within the surrounding of the subjet, whih, after having taken off the overings et. without the use of tools for a routine maintenane et., are in touhable reah, have to operate with a voltage that does not exeed 25 volt alternate voltage and 60 volt diret voltage, whih is produed by a separate soure as desribed in IEC Do not touh suh a part and the subjet at the same time! ~ elektr. Gerät Patient Arzt Eletri devies in rooms Aording to this example the leakage urrent would flow from the eletri devie to the earthened athlete via the trainer h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 10

C2 Environmental Requirements Ladder ergometers are not to be used in medially utilized rooms with a danger of explosions or in easily inflammable atmospheres. The devies should not be installed near to e.g. an x-ray devie, motors or transformer with high onnetion power, as the eletri and magneti interferene an falsify measurements or even make them impossible. High voltage lines should be avoided. If not stated otherwise in the delivery information the devies are designed for operation in normal limati surroundings (DI IEC 601-1): Temperature: C Relative humidity: % Air pressure: mbar The ladder ergometer has to be proteted from high humidity. Venting slots are not to be overed; otherwise it would hinder the air irulation. Store the devies at a temperature of C. D Symbols used All symbols used omply with the aording norms IEC 417 and IEC 878. T M P S R J Alternating urrent (AC) Protetion ground Earth Potential ompensation Please pay attention to the aompanying instrutions Devies of the type B Dangerous eletri voltage 2008 h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 11

E Safety standards E1 VDE orm The ladder ergometers, designed for professional use, are produed aording to strit safety- and quality ontrols. The ladder ergometers for the professional appliation in sports and fitness have been built orresponding to the DI E (VDE 0700) guidelines. The ladder ergometers for the professional appliation in the medial area have been built orresponding to the DI E (VDE 0750) guidelines. E2 The -Mark The -mark on the nameplate of the sports and fitness ladder ergometers onfirms the ompliane to the EC- diretive 89/336 EWG appendix I (EMC eletromagneti ompatibility). The audit has been onduted after the riterion of jamming and interferene immunity. E3 The n-mark The n-mark on the nameplate of the Running-Mahine for medial appliation onfirms the ompliane to the EC-diretive 93/42 EWG (Medial-Devie-Diretive) h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 12

F Field of Appliation F1 Professional Appliation in Sports and Fitness The ladder ergometers designed for sports and fitness have not been tested for appliation in medial areas and therefore are not qualified for that field of appliation. You an apply these models in the following areas: Endurane training F2 Professional Appliation in the medial field The ladder ergometers designed for professional appliation in the medial field are also qualified for sports and fitness use as well as for appliation in the medial field. You an apply these models in the following fields: Endurane training Endurane tests and EMG-measuring with the subjet in the laboratory Ergometry (Exerise- ECG and Ergospirometry) Rereational fitness training G Forbidden Use The ladder ergometer must not be used without being arefully instruted by speialist staff and without having reeived notes on the safety regulations! Children must only use the ladder ergometer if a medial dotor keeps them under onstant supervision. If the test subjet omplains about nausea or dizziness, the training is to be terminated immediately and a physiian is to be onsulted. Subjets with ardia paemakers and test subjets with weakened health must onsult a physiian before. The ladder ergometer must not be used for animals. Improper use, i. e. the ladder ergometer is used for an other purpose than mentioned under "Fields of Appliation" h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 13

Starting up A Transport, unpaking and pakaging When reeiving the mahine in a rate or unpaked, make sure the mahine and/or the pakaging is not damaged. If you disover any damage make a note on the paking-list / delivery note of the arrier. The manufaturer does not undertake any liability for any damage whih is not reported immediately on the paking-list / delivery note. Before you unpak the mahine read instrutions on the rate. Make sure that the mahine, power onnetion able or any optional equipment will not be damaged during unpaking. In order to avoid any damages most of all Running-Mahines are being transported and installed by the manufaturer or an authorized arrier. If delivered by the manufaturer the pakaging will be taken bak and reyled. If the Running-Mahine is being delivered by a arrier, you an reyle the pakaging yourself or send it bak to the manufaturer (transportation is to be paid by the ustomer). Often a reylable transport tool or pakaging is inluded in the extent of delivery. Ask your dealer and the arrier to take the pakaging and the reylable transport tool bak to your dealer or to h/p/osmos at your own osts. In some ases a redit note an be granted. B Mehanial installation In order to ensure proper installation and safety, either the manufaturer or an authorized servie rew should always perform transport and installation of the devies. For reasons of safety please make sure that there is a safety zone of 2.5m in front of the ladder ergometer. Put an aerobi mat (or something similar) in front of the ladder ergometer to protet the subjet when falling. Put the devie on a rubber mat as large as the devie to protet the floor from dust and srathes, to ensure a firm stand and to redue noise. The provided spae for the Running-Mahine should be even and horizontal. If the Running-Mahine is installed safely and horizontal, it an be plugged in (see installation instrutions) and taken into operation h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 14

C Eletrial Installation Attention! If there is a voltage drop of more than 50 % it is normal that the ladder ergometer swithes off. In this ase the mahine stops slowly. To restart the devie you have to swith it "O again. Read the nameplate of the mahine before onneting the mahine to the power outlet, just in ase the mahine was designed for speial voltage supply (e.g. 110 Volts and 25 Ampere) As standard, a usual power supply of 230 Volt / AC, 50/60 Hz is suffiient for the ladder ergometer. Use a usual 16 Ampere expulsion fuse (with B-tripping iruit). If however, the expulsion fuses swith off when starting the devie, the iruit has to be seured with a blowout fuse or an expulsion fuse with another tripping-iruit (e.g.: K fuse). Read name of the mahine just to make sure! For further questions please ask your eletrial engineer. Before installing the ladder ergometer please ompare the speifiations on the nameplate onerning the mains voltage and the mains frequeny with your loal harateristis. Connetion only if idential! Chek the main lead before plugging it in. Damaged leads and ouplers have to be exhanged immediately. Rubber-leads an get porous and friable after some years. Plug in the ladder ergometer into the wall soket diretly. Eah ladder ergometer has to be onneted to a separate iruit. The use of an extension able or a multiple plug soket is not allowed. If the equipment is used in the field of mediine, first onnet the potential equalization with the orresponding plug pin (next to the main swith at the front) and then onnet the mains plug h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 15

In ase the UserTerminal was disassembled during transport please onnet the ables aording to following illustration: 2008 h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 16

D Operation D1 Swithing the devie on In order to be able to swith on the devie, you may have to unlok the Emergeny-stop swith first by turning it around (to the left hand side or right hand side, see symbol). To start the mahine, the expulsion fuse on the lower left side of the ladder ergometer has to be swithed on: I Swith on the Running-Mahine by using the green "O" or I -key at the lower front side of the ladder ergometer. The indiator light within the key is glowing. (If the indiator does not flash up, please hek the power supply, the expulsion fuse and the Emergeny-stop.) D2 Swithing the devie off Do not swith the devie on or off within less than 1 min. Otherwise it ould lead to interferene in the adjustment of the motor or to the failure of the bakup. The models for medial appliation with the isolation transformer have an inrush-urrent limiter (surge guard). Too short swith on / swith off intervals will lead to a deativation of the inrush urrent limiter and results in an overload of the iruit fuse. For the professional use, where the devies are often being used daily, we reommend to swith on the devies in the morning, and leave it in the stand-by mode during the day. Swith off the Running-Mahine by pressing the red O -key at the lower front side of the ladder ergometer.. The indiator within the key is extinguished h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 17

The automati training ontrol must not be ativated if interferene ours during the wireless transmission of the Heart-Rate (or if an interferene is suspeted). Use this mode only after having been instruted by ompetent staff. Field of appliation / Control The Cardio Mode ontrols the ladder ergometer so that the Heart-Rate of the subjet stays within a predefined zone. The following parameters an be programmed: The desired max. Heart-Rate (pulse) during the training. The desired min. Heart-Rate (pulse) during the training. The ladder ergometer starts and inreases or dereases the speed automatially to keep the heart rate within the pre-seleted heart rate zone. If the ladder ergometer does not reeive a heart rate signal it will run down speed to 2km/h, a beeper alert signal will be ativated, and the running-belt stops after 2 min. Attention! If you hange from another mode of operation into Cardio mode while the ladder ergometer is in operation it will adapt to the atual speed. The ladder ergometer approahes the pre-seleted training-rate aording to the deision-matrix suggested and tested by the University of Sports in Magglingen (Switzerland): Heart rate differene Speed Time atual > < set value > 50 bpm 2,0 m/min 20 se > 30 bpm 1,0 m/min 15 se > 15 bpm 0,5 m/min 10 se > 5 bpm 0,2 m/min 10 se > 3 bpm 0,1 m/min 10 se 2008 h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 29

Some ladder ergometers do not have a user terminal and for that reason neither a keyboard nor a display. They only an be remote-ontrolled with the RS232 interfae, e.g. with an ECG, an ergospirometry, PC with software h/p/osmos para graphis or h/p/osmos para ontrol. An enumeration of the ompatible peripherals you an find in the ompatibility list of the operating instrutions. For maintenane or diagnosis purposes we also suggest the PC software h/p/osmos para ontrol (Freeware). Optional there is also an external user terminal available for these models, whih has to be onneted with the treadmill via the RS232 interfae. A Preventive maintenane The servie tehniians and engineers will advise you and remedy things, if there is a disorder. A preventive maintenane often an prevent problems in the run-up to and for the future, as well as guarantee an optimum ondition of the devie. For that reason ask for the annual preventive maintenane at the servie enter. Always hek, if the able, the plug, the power point and the power supply entry of the devie is faultless before swithing on the devie. B Immediate maintenane You have to do immediate maintenane, if the devie is extremely strained in a mehanial way (bump, able defet, et.) fluid got into the devie able and/or plugs are damaged the over fall of hain, guide bars or single bars show extreme signs of wear Only an orderly and regular maintained devie is save. The maintenane of the devie an also be done in the framework of a maintenane ontrat from the authorized ustomer servie h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 51

C Presribed returned ontrols For the use as sports or medial devie. You have to arry out regular heks and safety requirement inspetions to maintain the orderly ondition of the eletrial devies (e.g. in Germany based on BGV A2, regulations for prevention of aidents as well as safety requirement inspetions in aordane with Medial Devie Diretive). For treadmill and ladder ergometers a deadline of on year is stipulated. Only an authorized eletrial expert is allowed to do the hek. The following heks have to be done C1 Visual hek The onneting lead (power supply) of the devie has to be heked for outside defets and the tension relief for its plaement The ooler openings of the engine and the frequeny onverter have to be lean The protetion overs of the ladder ergometer, like the plasti-over of the installation hannel in the surrounding of the engine, have to be undamaged Damaged and illegible aution symbols have to be exhanged All earth-wire onnetions have to be heked for damages and their orret fitting. C2 Earth-wire resistane measurement The low-impedane walk-trough has to be tested with the earth-wire resistane measurement with an appropriate measuring instrument in aordane with VDE 0701/0702 (sport devie) VDE 0751 (medial devie). Move the onneting lead at least 5 seonds while measuring. If the resistane hanges while doing so, the able might be damaged. Chek the power supply lead separate, beause the ladder ergometer has a removable able. C3 Isolation-resistor measurement Make sure that all isolations, whih are strained with mains voltage are heked. All swithes and eletrial relays have to be losed. The measurement has to be done with a measuring instrument for the measurement of isolation-resistors in aordane with VDE 0701/0702 (sports devie) VDE 0751 (medial devie). C4 Alternative leakage urrent measurement The measurement has to be done with a measuring instrument for the measurement of leakage urrent in aordane with VDE 0701/0702/0751. A respetive test protool you get from the manufaturer at request h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 52

D Regular maintenane The display of the ladder ergometer will ask you for the following maintenane works in regularly intervals (every 100 km). In the display speed appears the message E01 in all other displays the message OIL. If you have a ladder ergometer without user terminal (ontrol panel with display and keyboard) an aoustial signal gives notie (peep-tone series) after swithing on the main-swith: 5 x long (ode for "0") and afterwards 1 x short + 4 x long (ode for "1"). This ode means as well: "E 01" (error 01). The devie does not have a sensor and the oil-warning does not end automatially after greasing the hain! The oil-warning has to be quit with option 01 after greasing the hain and arrying out all other maintenane works. For safety reasons always swith off and unplug the ladder ergometer before any intervention in the devie. Take are that you do not ome in any ontat with the hain or any other movable parts. D1 Greasing the ball-bearing You reah the ball-bearing when removing both bakplates of the ladder ergometer. Grease the ball-bearings with a standard grease-squeezer (obtainable at h/p/osmos at request). In speial ases grease the bearings in between of maintenane intervals, if dry abrasion noise appears. D2 Greasing the hain and the guide-bar It is neessary to grease the hain and the guide-bar, if it is not possible to move the ladder ergometer joltfree with working brake motor and a dead-weight of 20 kg. You find the guide-bars at the outer endings of the bars diretly behind the protetion over. Grease the hain and the guide-bar with standard hain-spray (obtainable at h/p/osmos at request). At the latest also grease the parts in between, when dry abrasion noise appears during the training. D3 Cleaning the interior Remove the bakplate of the ladder ergometer to lean the interior. The leaning an be done with a vauum leaner. Do not use water to lean. Take speial are to remove the dust from the fan of the engine. D4 Setting and leaning of the photoeletri barrier A safety photoeletri barrier is installed at the bottom end of the ladder to seure the plae of draft. It swithes off the motor brake when interfered. As a seurity system the photoeletri barrier releases a "Quik-Stop-Funtion", when the ray of light is interrupted by foot, by hand, beause of a fallen towel, an overall or beause of dust of the optis or the refletors of the photoeletri barrier h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 53

The photoeletri barriers and the refletors have to be leaned arefully with a damp towel weekly, aording to the pollution and the dust in the surrounding room-air. Otherwise it might ome to an unintended swith off. The setting (diretion and foal point/sharpness) an be ontrolled and adjusted in a dark room only. If problems with unintended swith offs our and the leaning does not bring any suess, ontrol and adjust the setting (diretion and foal point/sharpness) in a dark room. For that purpose a speial small srewdriver is neessary h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 54

Troubleshooting A Mehanial / oise problems In ase you hear noises like knoking or rattling during the training please hek if the mahine has a firm stand and follow exatly the advises in the hapter "Mehanial Installation" in this manual. B Fuses The ladder ergometers are equipped with an expulsion fuse at the left side of the devie. Inside the mahine you an find the power supply for the eletroni ontrol unit, inside the housing of the power supply are one (sport and fitness mahines) / two (medial devies) seondary fuses. Furthermore inside produts for medial use you will find the seondary fuse of the isolation transformer here. C Interferene Fator C1 Eletrostati Disharge If the user moves around the devies they an be eletro statially harged with up to several thousand volts. If then the user touhes a metal piee, keys or display, it an lead to an eletrostati disharge between the user and the devie. Eletrostati disharges an in ertain ases result in an interferene of the devie. Generally those eletrostati disharges are without harm for the user as well as for the devie, but an be quite unpleasant. The main auses for eletrostati disharges are the hoie of lothes, the sole of a shoe and the movement. Very dry air and many light fittings an also lead to the same results. Solution: Try different lothes or shoes, humidify the air in the room, and swith part of the light fittings off. Please inform the manufaturer if you detet suh interferene. C2 Soure of Interferene The devies should not be installed near to e.g. an x-ray devie, motors or transformer with high onnetion power, as the eletri and magneti interferene an falsify measurements. Very strong soures of interferene (e.g. above the limit aording to EMT) an influene the funtions of the devie. High-tension power lines nearby and eletrial devies without - sign and without a ertifiate of ompliane for eletro-magneti-tolerane should be avoided as well h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 55

D Malfuntions of the heart rate measurement system POLAR Possible soures of interferene Sreens, omputer, printer Eletri devies, eletri motors, transformer High-voltage transmission lines, also from trains Strong fluoresent tubes near by Central heating radiators Other eletri devies In order to prevent the ladder ergometer being interfered by suh fators, plae the devie at some distane away from suh interferene soures. Do not rely on the indiated values if you suspet interferene. Please also pay attention to the instrution of the manufaturer POLAR onerning interferene. D1 Troubleshooting heart rate measurement system POLAR see: list of options: OP 07 OP 07 Ativate: Aousti Heart-Rate-signal Display % indiate: OFF or O OFF: o aousti heart-rate-signal O: Aousti heart-rate-signal for every beat. 57 E Malfuntions of the RS232 interfae The most ommon auses for problem with the RS232 interfae are Wrong onnetion able between the ladder ergometer and the periphery Tehnial defets of the onnetion able or male / female onnetor False setting of protools / driver at ladder ergometer or periphery (ECG, PC, Ergospirometry) False setting of COM port at periphery (ECG, PC, Ergospirometry) E1 Troubleshooting and testing of the RS232 interfae Loop-Bak Test: For testing the RS232 of the ladder ergometer a speial RS232 test plug inluding testing instrution is available from the manufaturer. Connet the plug to the RS232 port and adjust Option 20: 10 A blinking ode and the instrution will tell you if input and output of the RS 232 are working well. PC software h/p/osmos para ontrol (Freeware): If you install the software to an external PC you an ontrol the ladder ergometer. If it works you know the ladder ergometer, the RS232 interfae onnetion able and the RS 232 interfae ard of the PC are working well. F Malfuntions of the ontrol unit In rare ases after several years of use malfuntions of the ontrol unit beause of dereasment of the battery power are possible. In this ase ontat the servie department to hange the battery of the ontrol unit. G Error messages / Error odes Many times malfuntions and error messages are aused by problems with the voltage power supply or lak of servie. Chek voltage supply. 68 D Heart rate measurement system 789 Please pay attention to the safety instrutions in the instrution manual. Stop training immediately if feeling sik or dizzy and see your dotor. In the ase of interferene do not rely on the indiated values of the wireless Heart-Rate transmission ote from POLAR for patients with paemaker The expert s report from the Paemaker-Institute in Rothenberg / Germany stated, that a negative influane or danger for patients with implanted paemakers is impossible. (Paemaker-Institute, Rothenberg Süd 18, Kohel am See / Germany) evertheless we reommend all patients with paemakers to onsult their dotor before using the POLAR heart rate measurement system. D1 Chest belt and transmitter You an use all POLAR transmitters (oded and unoded) with your ladder ergometer. For treadmills with EPROM versions lower than V an EPROM update is available for the use of oded transmitters. ote: Even with using the oded senders the transmission of the heart rate to the ladder ergometer is still unoded. The transmitter is only ativated if plaed orretly on the body. The hest belt is washable. In this ase loosen the belt from the transmitter. Please take are not to rush the two eletrodes of the belt. After having loosened the transmitter off the belt, wash the belt and espeially the eletrodes with warm water and mild soap. Do not lean the eletrodes mehanially. Do not use alohol. D2 Radius of transmission The transmitter radius amounts to approx. 80 to max. 120 m. If you run several ladder ergometers or other training devies on the same heart rate measurement system, you should keep a gap of at least 100 m between the devies to exlude interferene. D3 Battery of the transmitter At an average appliation of 2 hours per day the life-span of the battery amounts to approx. 1 year. The reeiver is inorporated in the ladder ergometer and requires no battery. It is supplied by the ladder ergometer. If an irregular pulse display ours in spite of an unobjetionable tehnial ondition, please hek your pulse manually or in ase of doubts see your dotor for a hek h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 68

D4 Corret plaement of transmitter belt Adjust the belt length so that the belt fits tightly but does not onfine you. The belt should not loosen while exerising. Close the belt with transmitter plaed outwards (POLAR-Logo in right position). In order to allow an optimal skin ontat the skin should be moist. Contat gel, as used for ECG, is an exellent solution. Moisten the two eletrodes and the skin with water or ontat gel, whih is available in hemistries. Plae the transmitter so that it is right below the petoral musle (hest), as is shown in the illustration below. For a % of the subjets the "normal" plaement of the transmitter belt is reommended. In ase of transmission problems For a % of the subjets the plaement "POLAR-logo upside down" is reommended. For a. 1 2 % of the subjets the plaement "789 transmitter at the bak of the subjet" is reommended. However, try the "normal" position always first h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 69

E PC Software h/p/osmos para ontrol The Software h/p/osmos para ontrol is a freeware, i.e. for h/p/osmos ustomers free of harge. The Software is responsible for the UserTerminal funtions on PC. Fields of appliation remote ontrol of all ladder ergometer funtions during tests or exerise via RS232 interfae from the PC demonstrations for big groups (students, audiene, et.) with the help of a big sreen or beamer servie & maintenane work, setup, programming and display of error odes (obligatory for ladder ergometers without hardware user terminal) testing the RS232 interfae of the PC, testing the RS232 interfae able in ase of ommuniation problems between ECG or Ergospirometry 2008 h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 70

F PC Software h/p/osmos para graphis The Software h/p/osmos para graphis permits an on-line registration and administration of Heart- Rate-values and endurane-parameters. The ladder ergometer an be ontrolled automatially. The data an be onverted by the software and be taken over and evaluated e.g. by EXCEL. A take over and proessing of the data within a table alulation program, the software h/p/osmos para analysis or an editor is also possible with the help of the h/p/osmos para graphis. Further information is available in the separate instrution manual of the software h/p/osmos para graphis. You an also order a demo version for some tests. For the data transmission a onnetion able from the ladder ergometer to the personal omputer is needed. This onnetion able is available as optional equipment (see also optional equipment serial interfae) h/p/osmos sports & medial gmbh reated printed page: 71
