1 Friends of Jupiter Beach P. O. Bo 791 Jupiter, FL Dear Friends, I am writing this letter on behalf of Friends of Jupiter Beach (FJB), to request your help in supporting a cause close to my heart. We are looking for Sponsors for our annual Brews, Barks and Beaches Event being held October 21 st, from 2-5pm under the Indiantown Road Bridge. This is one of our largest fundraising events, which supports the work of FJB. Please help us with caring for the beaches, along with preserving the privilege of bringing dogs to the beach. The Friends of Jupiter Beach (FJB) is a local liaison between the Town of Jupiter, Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation, beach-goers and dogs of all shapes and sizes. Save our Beach describes the foundational work of FJB. It s what FJB has been doing since From the time we started counting in August 2006; we have logged over 27,000 volunteer hours and helped to clean up over 65,000 lbs. of trash from the beaches for an estimated savings of over $450, to the community. We have helped make Jupiter a great place to live and vacation. With the increased population in our town and increased beach usage, the work of FJB has increased. 3 HELPING TO KEEP JUPITER BEACH CLEAN & DOG FRIENDLY! Although FJB has been recognized with achievement awards from both the Town of Jupiter and Palm Beach County, it receives no government funding of any kind and is supported solely through fundraisers and donations from an appreciative public. This event celebrates the 23rd Anniversary of Friends of Jupiter Beach and is an event encompassing all things dogs and beaches. F ounded in 1994, Friends of Jupiter Beach is a 501(c)(3) community organization whose goal is to support and maintain environmentally healthy, clean, and open access beaches in Jupiter, Florida through volunteerism, advocacy and education. Volunteers from every facet of the community clean a 2.5-mile span of beach from north of the Juno Beach Pier to Carlin Park in Jupiter each month. S ince the group began weighing the trash in 2006, we have collected more than 66,000 pounds of trash and recyclables from the beach. FJB delivers monthly E- newsletters and uses electronic & social media to spread its environmental message and advocate for an open access beach. In addition, FJB provides 400,000 dog bags a year along Jupiter Beach s 29 crossovers and it s Riverwalk and maintains the boes in which they are contained. FJB participates in community events and performs outreach to local schools and youth organizations to ensure that the younger generation learns the importance of environmental preservation. We have recently established a Young Friends of Jupiter Beach group, which holds additional monthly beach cleanups.

Organized and hosted by Friends of Jupiter Beach, Brews, Barks & Beaches brings together enthusiasts to sample craft beer and great food provided and served by select area breweries and restaurants. Event patrons come from among FJB s more than 6,000 supporters residing in more than 37 zip codes. This event is one of FJB s major annual fundraising events. Tickets will be available in advance on the Brews, Barks & Beaches website at Ticket prices for General Admission are $40 in advance online, $50 at the door, and $30 for First Responder personnel. Friends Club Tickets are $100 and include 1 ticket and a swag bag. Only 700 General Admission tickets will be sold. When & Where Brews, Barks & Beaches will be held RAIN or SHINE on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Jupiter Riverwalk Plaza Down Under, a covered outdoor venue located along the intracoastal waterway at Indiantown Road & U.S. Highway #1 in Jupiter, Florida. Publicity FJB will be responsible for promoting all aspects of the event. Promotional efforts will include listing your business/company in all press releases to the media and on printed and online promotional materials.
