However, due to facility rental popularity, the sooner a reservation can be made the more likely the space will be available. Rental spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Example private corporate event ideas: Host a private function in the Theatre Lobby & Patio during a Downtown Live! event. Host a private exclusive event inside of the beautiful arts center before or after Downtown Live! or Winter Wonderland. Include the entire family, by hosting a private event inside of the Children s Museum and Science Center, including the Cummins Planetarium, either during or after Lawn Chair Theatre Host a corporate event in a private tent and/or area for your corporate function during the Eastern Carolina BBQ Throw Down or the Juneteenth Community Empowerment Festival?
