4 Page4 Assignment of Officials: The host institution will be responsible for identifying the officials for the matches. A certified official will be present for each match of the conference tournament with one official identified as the head official for the event. Pre-Tournament Practice Schedule: Practice availability on Thursday will be available. If practice is requested, please contact Chris Reese at or Dee Morris at morrisl@cedarville.edu to set up a time. Coaches Meeting: There will be a pre-tournament meeting in conjunction with the social event on Thursday, April 20 around 8:20 p.m. The location of the meeting will be in the Callan Athletic Center - Room 203. Each school must have a representative at the meeting. Ice Cream Social for Players: The Cedarville women s tennis team will host an ice cream social for all players in the Callan Athletic Center - Room 201, beginning at 8:00 p.m. (eastern). There is no charge for this event. Tournament Committee: The tournament committee will consist of the tournament director Dee Morris, G-MAC Internal Operations Coordinator Natalie Fiorenza, and G-MAC Commissioner Tom Daeger. Hospitality Area: There will be a hospitality tent outside the lower courts for coaches and players. Complimentary Gatorade, Bananas, and Granola Bars will be provided for the student-athletes by Village Grocery and Cedarville. Morning Coffee and Donuts for coaches will also be provided. Merchandise Sales: The G-MAC will be selling Championship T-Shirts during each of the tournament match. The table will be located just inside the fence on the lower bank of courts. Championship merchandise can be ordered prior to the tournament and will be delivered to the coaching staff prior to the team s first contest. Athletic Training Coverage: Cedarville s Athletic Training staff will provide athletic training coverage services during the practice sessions and games. If your team will be traveling without an athletic trainer and/or have any other specials needs or requests please contact Amanda Meade at (office) or by - ameade@cedarville.edu

5 Page5 Courts: Cedarville will arrange for proper clearing and drying of the courts in case of inclement weather. This includes providing an adequate number of rollers and squeegees, as well as proper wind screening. Cedarville will conduct a daily check of net height, center straps, etc. Score Indicators: An appropriate scoring device will be located on each court. Inclement Weather: In the case of bad weather to the point where play can no longer continue outdoors, the tournament will be moved indoors to: Five Seasons Tennis Center, 4242 Clyo Road, Dayton, Ohio This is a different venue from where we have competed in previous years. Expenses for indoor facility use will be shared equally by participating teams. Unexpected Termination: If unexpected termination of competition before completion of the conference tournament, the conference champion will be determined by seeding and/or based on games completed prior to the termination of the tournament. Warm-Up Schedule Teams will warm up on courts assigned to their matches. The courts will be available at 9:00 a.m. on Friday for warm-up for the first matches. There will be a standard five minute warm-up prior to individual matches. For Friday s 2:00 p.m. matches, the courts will be available at 1:00 p.m. for warm-up for the participating teams. Courts on Saturday will be available at 9:00 a.m. for the championship match. Line-Up Submission: All line-ups must adhere to ITA rules. The following procedures will be followed when submitting and challenging lineups for the tournament. 1. By noon (eastern) on Monday of the week of the tournament, all lineups must be submitted to the conference office. 2. Lineups from all teams sent from the conference office to participating coaches by 5:00 p.m. (eastern) on the Monday prior to the Championship. 3. Coaches have the right to challenge lineups by 5:00 p.m. (eastern) on Tuesday prior to the championship. Brackets and Seeding Policy: Seeding of teams for the G-MAC Tennis Tournament will be determined as in Section 3.3 of the G-MAC Women s Tennis Sports Operating Codes.

6 Page6 Sports Information/Statistics: Ben Schlesselman, G-MAC Assistant Commissioner, and Mark Womack at Cedarville will supervise statistics and coordinate media relations for tournament. Staffing for statistics will be the responsibility of the host institution for all matches. Press, Publications, and Game Day Staffing: Host institution is responsible for all media/press credentials, tournament program, and game operations. Awards: The Tournament Championship Award will be presented to the winning team at the conclusion of the championship game. The ceremonies will be coordinated by the G-MAC Office. Following the championship match, the runner-up will be quickly recognized and then the Championship Award will be presented to the tournament champion. At that point, the runner-up can depart the courts. Following the championship award presentation, each member of the championship team will be recognized and receive an individual mini-championship trophy to conclude the award presentation.
