That mark includes a record of 17-3 (.850) against opponents ranked in the CSTV/AVCA Top 25. Of the 116 non-conference matches played, Pac-10 teams swept 72 matches...stanford, USC and WASHINGTON remain unbeaten, while CALIFORNIA, OREGON and UCLA each finished preseason play with just one loss... He s the all-time winningest volleyball coach in the school history with a record of (.652). Junior OH Randy Goodenough posted 15 kills on.423 hitting and 6 blocks against Davidson earning Arizona Invitational Most Valuable Player honors... ARIZONA STATE clinched the Crowne Plaza/Phoenix Airport Classic title this weekend with wins over Florida A&M, Tulane, and Utah Valley State. Freshman OH Sarah Reaves was named tournament MVP and senior OH Danielle Fernandes was named to the All-Tournament team. Senior L Sydney Donahue stands at 2,067 career digs, only four shy of tying the all-time Pac-10 career record, and stands 16th all-time in NCAA career history... CALIFORNIA improved to 10-1 with wins over No. 22 Santa Clara and Notre Dame this past weekend. Sophomore OH Kat Reilly led the team in victory over Santa Clara with 10 kills and a hitting percentage of.909, committing no errors in 11 attempts. Against Notre Dame, the Bears won their first five-game match of the season. Freshman S Carli Lloyd had a career-high of 62 assists, while Reilly put up a career-high 14 kills...oregon tied the program s all-time winning streak last Tuesday, sweeping Portland, but the Ducks were not able to break the record after falling 1-3 to Purdue at the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge on Friday. Oregon rebounded by knocking off 20th-ranked Ohio State in three games on the Buckeyes home floor Saturday. Freshman OH Heather Meyers and junior L Katie Swoboda were named to the all-tournament team as the top server and top libero, respectively. It was the third time both have received all-tourney honors in OREGON STATE is 2-3 in five-game matches this season. It was 0-3 in five-game matches all of last season. The Beavers saw their four-match winning streak end with a 3-2 loss to Loyola Marymount. Sophomore OH Rachel Rourke had a team-high 24 kills. In the loss against Pacific, Oregon State had four players hit in the double digits for kills led by Rourke with 20. Sophomore MB Bree Knitter and Rourke were both named to the All-Tournament team. Knitter set a career-high for service aces with four in the match. She also added seven block assists and one block solo... STANFORD junior OH Cynthia Barboza notched her sixth doubledouble of the year with 21 kills and 10 digs in a five-game victory over Penn State. Senior S Bryn Kehoe also recorded her sixth double-double, matching season highs with 61 assists and 12 digs. Barboza was named MVP of the Yale Classic. The win improved Stanford to 11-0 on the year and completed Stanford s first undefeated preseason since The Cardinal enter conference play having topped eight ranked opponents and won 33 of 37 games... UCLA won its ninth straight match and its third consecutive preseason tournament at the USD Tournament last weekend. The Bruins knocked off No. 18 San Diego for the tournament title in a five-game thriller. Senior OH Rachell Johnson and junior S Nellie Spicer were named to the All-Tournament Team. Johnson had 15 kills in the match against the Toreros, but also served up six aces, a career high. Junior OH Ali Daley posted 38 kills last week (4.75 kpg) in wins over Northridge and San Diego. Spicer sits fifth on the school s career list with 3,582 assists. She needs 90 assists to move into fourth on the list... USC senior OH Asia Kaczor posted 16 kills without recording an error in the three game sweep of Purdue at the 2007 Sports Imports Classic. USC hit.411 for the match, thanks to Kaczor (.471, ) and senior OH Diane Copenhagen (.455, ). Freshman L Geena Urango had 21 digs and tied a personal-best with four service aces... WASHINGTON held New Orleans to eight points in a 30-8 game three win over the Privateers at the Northern Florida/Jacksonville Classic. The eight points were the fewest it has allowed since a 30-7 win in game three against Arizona State on Oct. 28, The Huskies finished the preseason 11-0, having swept 10 of their 11 opponents. The Husky defense has held the opposition to.040 ( ) over the last four matches... WASH- INGTON STATE looks to snap a three-match losing streak when it opens league play at Oregon State. Senior OH Adetokunbo Faleti, whose playing time has been limited due to a bruised knee, has recorded double digit kills in five of nine matches she s played this season, including 19 kills last Saturday in a four-game loss to Long Beach State. With 1,330 career assists, senior S Maureen Perez needs four assists to move into seventh on WSU s career list. Kaczor, a senior from Wroclaw, Poland, earned MVP honors at the Sports Imports Classic in Columbus, Ohio in addition to being named to her third all-tournament team. For the tournament, Kaczor recorded 39 kills (4.88 kpg) in 93 attempts with 13 errors. She recorded double-figure kills in both matches with a game-high 23 kills against No. 20 Ohio State. Kaczor led the Trojans with 16 kills without recording an error and hit.471 against Purdue helping USC improve to 10-0 overall. This is the third weekly honor for Kaczor, and USC s 40th Pac-10 Player of the Week alltime.
