Summer Courses STiAE2017 & STiAE2017+ Summer Selected Topics in Automotive Engineering (STiAE) Location.

1 Summer Since 2001, the Steinbeis Transfer Center Automotive Engineering Esslingen offers courses for students from the private University ITESM Tec de Monterrey, mainly Campus Mexico City, as well as for students from China (YZU, JU and JUST), Finland, India (HU), Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, and for the first time in 2011, a course for engineers from India and Nigeria. Till July 2016 about 643 international participants have attended the courses: 540 from Mexico, 57 from India, 38 from China, 3 from Nigeria, 2 from South Africa, 2 from Turkey and 1 from Finland. Selected Topics in Automotive Engineering (STiAE) In 2017 two courses are being offered on comprehensive topics of Automotive Engineering: STiAE2017 and STiAE The duration of STiAE2017 is 18 days and STiAE2017+ lasts for 28 days. Both programs are held in English at the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences (EUAS). They cover important subjects in vehicle technology like transmissions, electrics, electronics, internal combustion engines, car structures and alternative car and drivetrain concepts. The courses include examinations (with grades and certificate from Steinbeis University) and excursion days to renowned companies like Mercedes-Benz, Kärcher, MAHLE, ETAS, MBtech, Frech, INDEX and Stihl. The courses give the participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in Automotive Engineering, to build an international network and to benefit from by experts from research and industry. In addition, there is the chance to experience Germany and German culture. Location Esslingen is located near Stuttgart which is considered the heart of the automotive industry in Germany with the OEMs Daimler, Porsche and Audi. The largest automotive supplier Bosch is present at various locations in the region. Stuttgart is home to the world famous Mercedes Benz Museum and the Porsche Museum.
