2 What we are about This new Mizuno Baseball USA program is about long term development of your/our player(s). We anticipate that our 13u players will continue to play for Mizuno Baseball USA through 17u. Please read this at least three times: It is not about winning a trophy or a ring at 13u. Its about the long term development of each player and getting each player ready to play to their full potential in the future. As an organization, we are looking for committed players and families who are good teammates and who want to learn to play and appreciate the game of baseball. Coach Ryan with support from Coach Thomas and Coach Williams and other assistants will run organized college style practices. Our program will incorporate baseball appropriate strength, speed and agility training concepts. Players are encouraged to work on their game outside of organized practices. We will have some development workshops in the Fall at a reduced cost to Mizuno players. In addition, Coach Ryan, Coach Thomas and Coach Williams are available for outside instruction. Workshops and outside instruction is not part of the monthly coaching fee.

4 Professional coaches who care The 13u professional Head Coach is Mr. Jeremy Ryan. After being drafted in the 12th round of the 1998 MLB draft by the Houston Astros. Coach Ryan spent six seasons in professional ball, acquiring a minor league world series and a Top 10 prospect ranking as a pitcher. Unfortunately his career was cut short after a serious elbow injury and Tommy John surgery. Jeremy has coached and managed over 40 players into major Division 1 programs, dozens into junior colleges, and multiple players into the MLB draft and professional baseball. Coach Ryan currently helps coach the Mizuno 16u Showcase team. Coach Ryan will continue to work with the 13u players as they advance on to 14, 15, 16 and 17u. Moreover, When the time comes, Coach Ryan, Coach Thomas and Mizuno Baseball USA have the resources and contacts to help guide your player through the college recruiting process. Other Assistant Coaches may also help out with practice or at games, but they serve at the discretion of Coach Ryan. Our program emphasizes the development of fundamental skills and key values including hard work; sportsmanship, honor and respect.

Tryouts We will have a tryout on Saturday August 12 at 1 pm at The Edge (hitting pitching) and a field tryout on Tuesday August 15 from 7-8:30 at the private field located at 3100 Sawdust Road in Spring. We will also have public tryouts for open roster spots for the Spring 2018 season in January of This 13u team will be limited to 11 committed players on the roster. Goal is to field a highly competitive team made up of hard working players with good families. Non field practices (fielding, pitching, hitting) The Edge with Coach Ryan Start non field practices at end of August Tuesdays 6:30-8 (may be subject to change) Hitting, arm care, speed and agility will be integrated into our non field workouts in the fall and spring Field practices will be held at 3100 Sawdust Road with Coach Ryan Start at end of August Thursdays 7:30 9:00 * Please note that the practice schedule (# of days, days and time may change)

6 What do parents pay? Monthly Coaching (August 2017 July 2018) Coaching Fee is $110 per player per month Covers coaching for non field and field practices Covers coaching for games Field and Facility Fees are split per player. $40 per player (based on a full roster of 11) Total (Coaching and Field and Facility Fees) of $150 per month based on 11 player roster. Cost of Organization (Nations, SuperSeries and/or USSSA) registration and fees for tournaments/leagues will be split evenly per player. We will be practicing hard but playing a limited tournament schedule in the Fall. (3-4 tournaments total). In the Spring, we will play an average of 2 tournaments a month. We plan to play a post season world series which may require overnight travel and accommodations. Uniform & Equipment to be purchased by player 2 jerseys; 1 practice jersey, pants; socks; belt; 2 hats Players get discount rates for private baseball and sports performance workouts with Coach Ryan Parents will need to download the free Team Snap application for team related communications and payments which must all be made through Pay Pal.
