ABOUT TODAY S STARTER: Right-handed pitcher Chad Kuhl is making his fourth start of his big league career this afternoon... LIMITED BUCCO BLANKINGS: Last night the Pirates were shut out for just the second time this season (fewest in the Majors)...Prior to last night, the only other time Pittsburgh was shut out this year came on June 17 at Wrigley Field in the team s 67th game of the season...the Pirates have not had an opposing pitcher toss a complete game shutout against them since Max Scherzer did so last year on June 20 here at Nationals Park.
