Q3 What do you like best about Highview Park? Answered: 10 Skipped: 4 # Responses Date 1 Nice facility that can be used for youth baseball. 5/18/ :32 AM 2 The Playground and the central location within the community. 5/14/2014 5:45 PM 3 The park provides a low pressure environment for younger players without the distraction of multiple fields. Lights at the park allow the fields to be used after dark. 5/14/2014 2:35 PM 4 LOCATION, FLAT, WELL DESIGNED 5/6/2014 8:00 PM 5 The community atmospjere. 5/5/2014 9:44 PM 6 Its central location and ease of access to the community. 5/5/ :06 PM 7 trees 5/3/2014 6:46 AM 8 A favorite community place to bring my children and chat with my neighborhood friends. 5/1/2014 2:20 PM 9 - Located centrally in North Arlington - Lights - Bathrooms 4/29/2014 6:36 PM 10 The community involvement 4/29/2014 1:15 PM 4 / 9

Q4 What issues do you have with Highview Park? Answered: 11 Skipped: 3 # Responses Date 1 Highview could be a baseball field expansion opportunity; there is room for two fields there. Whether that occurs or not, we strongly support the irrigation and sod improvements to the infield, as well as the improvements to lights. For baseball purposes, the concrete path that winds down the first base line in foul territory is a safety hazard for kids wearing cleats and running after a ball. We recommend that it be removed or moved out of the way; if not, scheduling games at Highview becomes very difficult. 2 Basketball court lights should not be on a night, unless for some special event. Courts are close to homes and late night noise is annoying. 5/18/ :32 AM 5/14/2014 5:45 PM 3 the fence at diamond field does not cover enough of the field 5/14/2014 3:36 PM 4 The diamond field skinned area does not provide enough space behind the base. Increase the skinned area by 6 to 10 feet. Obviously the parking can be difficult. The lights seem sufficient to light the field, however given their age, I would think that replacement of the lights would provide the tax payers a cost benefit on the electricity use vs the capital expense in a relatively short period of time. The grass seems to be in very good condition and I do not believe that changing the grass to Bermuda grass is a worthwhile investment. 5/14/2014 2:35 PM 5 The lack of county maintenence. 5/5/2014 9:44 PM 6 None, really. I am not sure what is wrong with the park. Didn't the county do some renovations just a few years ago? 5/5/ :06 PM 7 too much cement and ugly plastic playground equipment 5/3/2014 6:46 AM 8 That my community can't ever seem to have access to our own neighborhood park when we need it these days. It used to be the neighborhood place to meet up with friends - now it's starting to look like the only park in Arlington. 9 Needs shaded bench area for diamond field players Needs small shaded bleachers for fans Is power outlet available for use? 10 bathrooms, picnic area, bad security lighting lights neighboring houses 2 street over and only lights 1/3 of playing field. 5/1/2014 2:20 PM 4/29/2014 6:36 PM 4/29/2014 5:52 PM 11 Night time security light shines more into the neighborhood leaving a large area of park in the dark. 4/29/2014 1:15 PM 5 / 9

Q5 We could alter the entrance from Dinwiddie if you want. How would you like the entrance area to be used? Answered: 9 Skipped: 5 # Responses Date 1 Entrance could be replaced with a garden 5/14/2014 5:45 PM 2 designated parking for coaches/umps with heavy equipment 5/14/2014 3:36 PM 3 A loop for coach equipment drop off, or dedicated coach/umpire parking 5/14/2014 2:35 PM 4 This entrance area is appropiate. The fencing and openings on Cameron St. could be enhanced. 5/5/2014 9:44 PM 5 No opinion. 5/5/ :06 PM 6 Keep it as it is currently. 5/1/2014 2:20 PM 7 Would like to see a drop off area for players and equipment. 4/29/2014 6:36 PM 8 paving stones over asphalt 4/29/2014 5:52 PM 9 Why does it need to be altered? A nice paving stone instead of asphalt would be nice. 4/29/2014 1:15 PM 6 / 9

Q6 Thank you for your sharing your thoughts about. In the coming month we will tabulate this information and use it to develop plans for the park that we will share with the neighborhood. Please provide your address if you'd like us to invite you to the community meetings. Answered: 10 Skipped: 4 # Responses Date 1 tsg915@gmail.com 8/14/2014 6:59 PM 2 jnrosen@uwalumni.com 5/18/ :32 AM 3 earlwilliams3@verizon.net 5/14/2014 5:45 PM 4 lanbinder@me.com 5/14/2014 3:36 PM 5 davidlansing@gmail.com 5/14/2014 2:35 PM 6 BALANGIGA@AOL.COM 5/6/2014 8:00 PM 7 williejacksonbaker@yahoo.com 5/5/2014 9:44 PM 8 PoopG29@gmail.com 5/1/2014 2:20 PM 9 ssevern@comcast.net 4/29/2014 6:36 PM 10 tsg915@gmail.com 4/29/2014 5:52 PM 7 / 9

% 1 Total 13 # Other (please specify) Date DC. But this is on behalf of Arlington Little League and it's 1,200 players from all across the County. 5/18/ :32 AM 2 Two things: 1) the park could use more plantings and 2) the amphitheater is not being used. All special events use the basketball court. The county made an effort to improve the amphitheater, but no one uses it? 5/14/2014 5:45 PM 9 / 9
