5 Volunteer Application Sierra Mountain Little League will use the official Little League Volunteer Application form to screen all managers, coaches, concession workers, umpires, board members, and any other volunteers. We will be using First Advantage to perform our background checks. Enclosed is the 2016 Volunteer & Returning Volunteer Application Form. 5

6 Big Al Fundamental Training/SMLL Training Big Al Training will be held on February 21, 2016 at the Clovis North High School Big Gym SMLL Training will be held on: March 18, 2016 at the SMLL fields by the coaching coordinator and safety officer. At least one manager/coach from each team will be required to attend the training. Every manager/coach will attend the training at least once every 3 years. 6

7 First Aid Training Training will be held on: 03/18/16 At least one manager/coach from each team will be required to attend the training. Every manager/coach will attend the training at least once every 3 years. Training will be held at Sierra Mountain Little League fields. 7

8 Field Inspection Coaches and umpires will be required to walk/inspect the fields prior to any practice or games looking for any hazards or issues that need to be addressed. Any issues should be reported to the Field Maintenance Manager or the Safety Officer. A facility and field inspection checklist will be done weekly by the Safety Officer. Enclosed is a copy of the Field Inspection Checklist. 8

9 Facility Survey Sierra Mountain Little League has completed the 2016 Facility Survey and will mail it in along with the safety/asap plan. 9

10 Concession Safety Concession stand safety procedures will be posted throughout the concession stands. All volunteers will understand the importance of hand washing, preventing food borne illness through cross contamination, and proper heating and cooling practices. Menu shall be posted and approved by the Concessions Manager, Safety Officer, and President. Enclosed is a copy of the Sierra Mountain Little League Concession Stand Safety Procedures. 10

11 Equipment All equipment will be inspected by the Equipment Manager prior to the season beginning. All coaches and umpires will be required to inspect equipment weekly and report and issues to the Equipment Manager or Safety Officer. 11

12 Accident Reporting All accidents will be reported immediately to the President and Safety Officer. The league will use the provided incident, accident, and tracking forms. All forms will be submitted within 48 hours of the incident. Enclosed are those forms. 12

13 First Aid There will be three first aid kits available at the fields: Concession Stand Equipment Closet at both fields that all coaches and managers have access to. 13

14 Little League Rules Require All Teams to enforce All Little League Rules and Regulations to ensure the safety of all players. Focuses for 2016: No on-deck batters Coaches will not warm up pitchers - All catcher s will have throat guards on at all times - Food Safety 14
