Use TheBus Just to and from work or school Occasionally as a back up Never q2 Encouragement to use TheBus more frequently Count Column N % More frequently bus service % More reliable bus service % A bus closer to my residence, place of work, areas that I frequent, etc % Cleaner buses and bus facilities % I do not use the bus for personal reasons % Other % 19 % Other encouragement to use TheBus more frequently I am unable to use the bus for professional reasons as I use my vehicle throughout the day. I use the BUS for meetings at City Hall, I park at Middle Street Bus "Park and Ride" and take "A" or 1 to downtown. I would put my children on the bus to Mililani if I felt more comfortable with other riders. Current news about attempted assualts, female teens being assaulted, fights, and theft make me nervous. As Mililani is close, it is easy to drive. Less costly More safety precautions put in place to protect riders from bullying, theft, sexual assaults, etc. Nothing. I use the bus for commuting to work in town, which is the farthest destination to which I travel. Other travel is close to home for grocery shopping, for which I would prefer to use my car safety as well as on time 19 Household member use the bus
q4 Routes used in the past Express routes such as to Downtown, University of Hawai i Manoa, and Pearl Harbor, Routes 83, 84, 84A, 96, 98, 98A, 99 and PH2 Count Column N % % Regular bus routes such as Routes 52 and % Community circulators such as Routes 501, 503 and % None, I do not use TheBus 1 7.7% 13 % Yes No Sometimes Missing System Use the Mililani Transit Center at Mililani Town Center 19 No Sometimes Missing System Use the Mililani Mauka Park & Ride 19 q7 Locations used TheBus for traveling Count Column N % Kapolei 0 0.0% Ewa 0 0.0% Pearl Harbor % Downtown % Airport % Urban Honolulu Other %
UH West Oahu 0 0.0% UH Manoa % Leeward Community College % Other % 10 % Other locations where TheBus used I live in Pearl City and take my car to the Middle Street Park & Ride Station. Mililani 19 Yes No Sometimes Missing System Ride TheBus for short trips within the destination's area 19 Conditions of TheBus shelters in Central Oahu Yes No Count Row N % Count Row N % Plentiful % % In good condition % % Well lit and comfortable % % Provide the information I need to know % % Safe % % Payment for bus fare Monthly Pass Two-year Senior Pass Pay with cash Missing System Use TheBus app
Yes No Missing System How to get information about TheBus FRIENDS Home computer on bus route and times. internet on-line, p/u pamphlets from events online Online The app TheBusHea We seldom use the bus. I would go online to get info as needed. Website Use rail system (HART) in the future Yes, as much as possible Sometimes Never q14 How to get to Pearl Highlands and/or LCC rail stations Count Column N % Get dropped off % Take a bus and transfer % Bike, if there is a safe and convenient path to get there % Walk, if there is a safe and convenient path to get there 1 6.7% Use a ride-hailing app, such as Uber of Lyft % Use a taxi 0 0.0% Drive/Carpool and park my car at the station % Other % 15 %
Other means of travel to Pearl Highlands and/or Leeward Community College rail stations Other than the LCC station, where is the bus stop at the Pearl Highlands Station? You are going to require bus riders to use rail. This question is useless 19
