1 Active Transportation Route Descriptions Route 1 Active Transportation (AT) Route 1 runs east-west along Bath Road and Concession Street. Auden Park, Lemoine Point, Mile Square, Bayridge West, Bayridge East, Gardiners/Meadowbrook, Collins Bay Penitentiary, Alcan, Kingscourt, Williamsville, Inner Harbour, Grenville Park, Hillendale, Calvin Park, Fairway Hills, and Sunnyside to the cycling network. include: Lemoine Point, Frontenac Mall, and the Kingston Memorial Centre. Two bus transfer stations are located adjacent to AT Route 1 with connections to the number 2, 3, 4, 6, 11, 12, 15, and 16 buses. From east to west, AT Route 1 is serviced by buses 10, 15, 11, and 16, with express bus service from Gardiners Road to Palace Road by the 701 and 702 buses. for AT Route 1 include: - paved shoulders on Bath Road from Coronation Boulevard to Collins Bay Road, - a bike lane and an in-boulevard trail on Bath Road from Collins Bay Road to Bayridge Drive, - a bike lane on Bath Road from Bayridge Drive to Coverdale Drive, - a cycle track on Bath Road from Coverdale Drive to Princess Street and - a bike lane on Concession Street from Princess Street to Division Street. Route 3 Active Transportation (AT) Route 3 runs east-west along Taylor-Kidd Boulevard, continuing onto John Counter Boulevard and over the future Third Crossing onto Gore Road. Connects

One bus transfer station is located adjacent to AT Route 3 with connections to the number 2, 7, 16, and 18 buses. AT Route 3 is serviced by bus 10 from Collins Bay Road to Bayridge Drive, bus 6 from Old Colony Road to Princess Street, and buses 7 and 18 from Princess Street to Leroy Grant Drive. AT Route 3 connects to express buses 801 and 802 at the intersection of Montreal Street and John Counter Boulevard. Buses 4, 11, 14, 15, and 16 also stop on AT Route 3. for AT Route 3 include: - a paved shoulder on Taylor-Kidd Boulevard from Coronation Boulevard to Collins Bay Road, - a buffered bike lane on Taylor-Kidd Boulevard from Collins Bay Road to Princess Street, - a buffered bike lane on John Counter Boulevard from Princess Street to Montreal Street, and - an in-boulevard trail connecting to the Third Crossing from Montreal Street to Highway 15. 4 Buses 7, 10, 14, and 15 stop on AT Route 4. to AT Route 4 include: - a bike lane on Collins Bay Road from Bath Road to Princess Street and - a bike lane and an in-boulevard trail on Cataraqui Woods Drive from Centennial Drive to Sydenham Road. Route 5 Active Transportation (AT) Route 5 runs north-south along Midland Avenue and Gardiners Road. Sutton Mills, Cataraqui North, Cataraqui Westbrook, Bayridge East, Gardiners/Meadowbrook, and Auden Park to the cycling network. Cataraqui Estates Business Park, Cataraqui Centre, and RioCan Centre. One bus transfer station is located adjacent to AT Route 5 with connections to the number 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 501/502, and 701/702 buses. AT Route 5 is serviced by bus 15 on Midland Avenue from the transfer station to Tivoli Avenue and by buses 11 and 701/702 on Gardiners Road from the transfer station to Bath Road. fro AT Route 5 include: - a buffered bike lane on Midland Avenue from Creekford Road to Princess Street, - a bike lane on Midland Avenue from Princess Street to Gardiners Road, and - an in-boulevard trail on Gardiners Road from Princess Street to Bath Road. Route 6 Active Transportation (AT) Route 6 runs north-south on Bayridge Drive and Days Road, and east-west along Henderson Boulevard and on Front Road, continuing westwards on Union Street until Barrie Street.

Centre 70 Park & Ride and is mainly serviced by express busses 501 and 502 on Bayridge Drive from Princess Street to Henderson Boulevard, across Henderson Boulevard, down Days Road, and across Front Road and King Street West until Portsmouth Avenue. Bus 6 also services this active transportation (AT) route on Front Road and King Street West between Days Road and Portsmouth Avenue. The segment of AT Route 6 on Union Street is mainly serviced by buses 1 and 2. Buses 3, 15, and 18 also stop on Route 6. Route 6 include: - a bike lane and an in-boulevard trail on Bayridge Drive from Creekford Road to Hudson Drive, - a buffered bike lane on Bayridge Drive from Hudson Drive to Front Road, - an in-boulevard trail on Henderson Boulevard from Bayridge Drive to Bays Road, - a buffered bike lane on Days Road from Bath Road to Front Road, - a buffered paved shoulder on Front Road from Bayridge Drive to Lakeshore Boulevard, a buffered bike lane on Front Road from Lakeshore Boulevard to Days Road, - an in-boulevard trail on Front Road from Days Road until King Street West, - an in-boulevard trail on King Street West from Front Road until Portsmouth Avenue, - a signed-route with sharrows on Union Street from King Street West until West Campus Lane, and - a bike lane on Union Street from Alfred Street to Barrie Street. Route 7 Active Transportation (AT) Route 7 runs north-south along Centennial Drive and continues east-west along Creekford Road until Bayridge Drive.

Route 8 Active Transportation (AT) Route 8 runs north-south along a trail between John Counter Boulevard and Bath Road, continuing on Parkway to Queen Mary Road and bending east-west to continue on Johnson Street and Brock Street. Sydenham neighbourhood, Queen s, Sunnyside, Portsmouth, Fairway Hills, Calvin Park, Polson Park, Grenville Park, and Strathcona Park to the cycling network. Miklas-McCarney Field, Hotel Dieu Hospital and the downtown business district. The Downtown Transfer Station is located adjacent to Route 8 with connections to the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 12 and 18 buses, as well as all of the express buses. Buses 12, 701, and 702 service Route 8 along Brock and Johnson west of Palace Road, while buses 2 and 3 also stop intermittently on Route 8 east of Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard.

Sydenham, Queen s, Sunnyside, Hillendale, Grenville Park, Sutton Mills, Westwoods, Woodbine, Cataraqui North, Cataraqui Westbrook, Elginburg/Silver Corners/Shannon s Corners, Williamsville, Alcan, Strathcona Park, Waterloo Village and Gardiners/Meadowbrook to the cycling network. Downtown business district, railway station, Cataraqui Centre and Kingston Centre. Three bus transfer stations are located adjacent to Route 9 with connections to: the number 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 501/502, and 701/702 buses at the Cataraqui Centre; the number 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 16 buses at the Kingston Centre; and the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 12 and 18 buses, as well as all of the express buses at the downtown transfer station. Route 9 is serviced by the number 4 bus east of Midland Avenue and the 501 and 502 express buses east of Bayridge Drive. to Route 9 include: - a paved shoulder on Princess Street from Neil Road to Westbrook Road, - a buffered paved shoulder on Princess Street from Westbrook Road to Bayridge Drive, - a cycle track on Princess Street from Bayridge Drive to Bath Road, - a signed route with sharrows on Princess Street from Division Street to Ontario Street, - a paved shoulder on Sydenham Road from Unity Road to the K&P Trail, and - a buffered bike lane on Sydenham Road from the K&P Trail to John Counter Boulevard.

8 Route 10 Route 10 runs north-south on Perth Road and Division Street. Queen s, Inner Harbour, Rideau Heights, Markers Acers, Elginburg/Silver Corners/Shannon s Corners, Williamsville, Kingscourt, and Alcan to the cycling network. Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School, Queen s University, and the King s Crossing Retail Centre. Route 10 is mainly serviced by bus 2 and express busses 701 and 702 on Division Street from Dalton Avenue to Johnson Street. Bus 18 also services Route 10 from Elliot Avenue to Princess Street. Route 10 include: - a paved shoulder on Perth Road from Spooner Road to the Highway 401 eastbound off-ramp, - a buffered bike lane on Division Street from the Highway 401 eastbound off-ramp to Weller Avenue, - a buffered bike lane on Division Street from John Counter Boulevard to Concession Street, and - a bike lane on Division Street from Concession Street to Johnson Street. Route 11 Active Transportation (AT) Route 11 runs north-south on Battersea Road and Montreal Street. Elginburg/Silver Corners/Shannon s Corners, Glenburnie, Markers Acers, Rideau Heights, and Inner Harbour to the cycling network. Belle Park and Hotel Dieu Hospital.

9 Route 11 is mainly serviced by bus 1 on Montreal Street from Esdon Street to Raglan Road and express buses 801 and 802 from the Montreal Street and Highway 401 Park & Ride to Queen Street. for Route 11 include: - a paved shoulder on Battersea Road from Mount Chesney Road to the Highway 401 westbound off-ramp, - a bike lane on the Highway 401 overpass, - a bike lane on Montreal Street from Rideau Street to Queen Street, and - a signed route on Montreal Street from Queen Street to Brock Street. ACCORDIAN FILE: Route 12 Active Transportation (AT) Route 12 north-south on Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard. Alwington, Sunnyside, Portsmouth, Calvin Park, Hillendale, Alcan, and Strathcona Park to the cycling network. Clyde Industrial Park, Alcan Business Park, Kingston Centre, Miklas-McCarney Field, and Kingston Penitentiary. The Kingston Centre transfer station is located adjacent to Route 12 with connections to the number 2, 3, 4, 11, 13, and 16 buses. Express buses 501/502 and 701/702 also have stops nearby to the Kingston Centre. for Route 12 include: - a buffered bike lane on Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard from Dalton Avenue and the K&P Trail to John Counter Boulevard, and - an in-boulevard trail on Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard from John Counter Boulevard to King Street West.

10 Route 13 Active Transportation (AT) Route 13 is an existing north-south bike lane facility on Portsmouth Avenue. Strathcona Park, Grenville Park, Hillendale, Polson Park, Calvin Park, Fairway Hills, Portsmouth, and Sunnyside to the cycling network. include KFL&A Public Heath, St. Lawrence College, and Providence Care Hospital. One bus transfer station is located adjacent to AT Route 13 with connections to the number 1, 2, 3, 6, and 18 buses. Route 13 is mainly serviced by bus 3 south of Johnson Street and bus 16 north of bath road, with bus 18 running north on Portsmouth from King Street West to Princess Street, before turning on Princess Street to continue on to the railway station and bus terminal. Route 14 Active Transportation (AT) Route 14 runs north-south on Leroy Grant Drive from John Counter Boulevard to Concession Street. Alcan and Kingscourt to the cycling network. The bus terminal and John Counter Boulevard transfer station are located adjacent to Route 14 with connections to the number 2, 7, 16, and 18 buses. for Route 14 include: - an in-boulevard trail on Leroy Grant Drive from John Counter Boulevard and Elliot Avenue, and - a trail from Elliot Avenue to Third Avenue Park. Route 15 Active Transportation (AT) Route 15 runs north-south on Highway 15, continuing eastwest on Middle Road.

Route 15 is mainly serviced by express busses 601 and 602 on Highway 15 between the Innovation Drive Park & Ride and the terminus of Highway 15 at Highway 2. SUBHEAD: for Route 15 include: - an in-boulevard trail and cycle track on Highway 15 from Highway 2 to Innovation Drive, - a paved shoulder on Highway 15 from Innovation Drive to Middle Road, and - a paved shoulder on Middle Road from Joyceville Road to Highway 2. Route 16 Active Transportation (AT) Route 16 follows the path of the existing K&P trail. Inner Harbour, Rideau Heights, Cataraqui North, Sharpton/Glenvale, and Gardiners/Meadowbrook to the cycling network. Route 17 Route 17 runs east-west on Unity Road. Elginburg/Silver Corners/Shannon s Corners, and Sharpton/Glenvale to the cycling network. for Route 17 include completion of a paved shoulder from Battersea Road to where Unity Road reaches Kingston s western boundary.
