1 OdeGand opening on Friday 15 September and OdeGand Saturday 16 September 2017: how to get there The city of Ghent and De Lijn are doing their best to ensure that you can get to OdeGand as easily as possible. Below is an overview of all the possible transport options. If you live in and around the centre of Ghent, then it s easiest to walk. That way, you don't have to look for a parking space or somewhere to put your bike. There are two free supervised bike stalls in the historic centre. Both are equipped with CCTV. They are open from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. On Friday and Saturday you can even access them until 3 in the morning. Outside of these hours, the bike stalls are locked for safety reasons. In the Korenmarkt bike stall under Sint-Michielsbrug there is room for 210 bikes. You can walk or cycle into the stall via Pakhuisstraat, next to the former post office building. Please note: you will not be able to park or pick up your bike from the Korenmarkt bike stall on Saturday 16 September 2017 between and because it is situated within the safety perimeter for the fireworks. The Braunplein bike stall under the town hall offers room for 80 bikes. It also has a Max Mobiel bike point. You can rent bikes there, have your own bike registered free of charge and have minor repairs done. This bike stall can be reached via the green on the Emile Braunplein. Consult the cycle route map via the link This is an easy and quick way to mark out your own cycle route. The planner is a digital map that works like a GPS system. You indicate your departure point and your destination and a few seconds later the planner will suggest a route. There are also bike stalls at each P+R. 2 Public transport De Lijn has an excellent network for getting you to OdeGand. The last bus between Korenmarkt and Flanders Expo on a Saturday according to the normal service will be at (arrival at Flanders Expo at 23.25). In collaboration with De Lijn, the Odegand organisation will provide 2 extra trips from the Korenmarkt, at 23.31, arriving at Flanders Expo at 23.47, and another at 23.46, arriving at Flanders Expo at This bus will also stop at Sint-Pieter s station, in addition to all the other stops. During OdeGand all the normal travel rules apply, such as season tickets and the Lijn card. There is also a night service to make the city more accessible. You will find all the information and timetables at You can easily access Ghent by train from most towns or cities. Take the train to Gent-Dampoort. The station is walking distance from the car-free zone. From Gent Sint-Pieters take tram 1 to the Korenmarkt. You will find all the information and timetables at If you are coming to Ghent on a motorbike, there are parking places in the following locations: Bij Sint-Jacobs Drabstraat Park your car at a free park-and-ride (P+R) and take the tram or bus to OdeGand. There are bike stalls at every park-and-ride. EXPO-THE LOOP (186 spaces) Free parking: TRAM 1, N1 Louis Blériotlaan, 9051 Sint-Denijs-Westrem From Antwerp (E17): Exit R4/Expo-The Loop to Zwijnaarde interchange and follow signs to Expo-The Loop. From Kortrijk (E17): at interchange on E17 switch to E40 heading for Ostend and follow signs to Expo-The Loop. From Brussels or Ostend (E40): exit 14, take direction Expo-The Loop.

3 Free parking is available between Ikea and Flanders Expo. Then take tram 1 or the nightbus N1 via Sint-Pieter s station to Korenmarkt. Please note: The Jaarbeurs starts on Saturday 16 September 2017, so it will be extremely busy at the P+R Expo-The Loop. BOURGOYEN (250 spaces) Free parking: BUS 3, N3 Driepikkelstraat 30, 9030 Mariakerke From R4, take exit N9 for Eeklo/Mariakerke. Follow Ghent (N9). After approx. 1 km, turn left in the direction of Mariakerke/Wondelgem. Then turn right in the direction of Mariakerke. After approx. 2.5 km turn right towards P+R. WATERSPORTBAAN (230 spaces) Free parking: BUS 38, 39 Zuiderlaan, 9000 Ghent. From R4 Inner ring: exit E40/N466/Blaarmeersen. First exit right (Blaarmeersen). P+R on the left. From R4 Inner ring/n466: exit Ghent N466/Blaarmeersen. Over the bridge and turn right, follow Blaarmeersen. Second right, follow Blaarmeersen. When you reach Zuiderlaan, the P+R is on the left. WEBA/DECATHLON (200 spaces) Free parking + Free shuttle to centre, stops at Dampoort and Walter De Buckplein (Sint-Jacobs). Weba/Decathlon, Vliegtuiglaan 8-10, 9000 Ghent From R4, take direction N424 (Vliegtuiglaan). The P+R is in the Weba/Decathlon car park. Shuttle services: - Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 7 pm - Friday from 7 am to 11 pm - Saturday from 7 am to 11 pm - There is NO service on Sunday and public holidays GENTBRUGGE (200 spaces) Free parking: TRAM 2, N2, Land van Rodelaan 9, 9050 Gentbrugge Under the viaduct at exit 10 on the E17. From Melle: turn right at the traffic lights under the E17 viaduct. You can take tram 2 to the centre until the early hours from the P+R Gentbrugge stop. GENTBRUGGE ARSENAAL (200 spaces) Free parking: TRAM 2, N2, Brusselsesteenweg, 9050 Gentbrugge Via E17, take exit 10, then N9 heading for Melle: take tram 2 at Schooldreef, near the car park. OOSTAKKER (200 spaces) Free parking: BUS 17, 18, 76, 77, 78, N17, Oude Bareel, 9041 Oostakker From R4, take exit 3 for Oostakker. Follow the N70 (Antwerpsesteenweg) towards Ghent. P+R at the Oude Bareelstraat shopping centre. NEPTUNUS (148 spaces) Free parking: lines 1, N1, Botestraat 98 and Blauwstraat, 9032 Wondelgem From R4, take exit for Wondelgem. At the next crossroads with traffic lights, turn right. After approx. 1 km turn right (just over the level crossing for the tram). HEKERS (68 spaces) Free parking: lines 2 70, 71, N2, Ter Linden 29, 9052 Zwijnaarde From N60, follow N469, (Tramstraat) direction Merelbeke. At the crossroads with Heerweg Noord turn right and follow the tramlines. At the tram terminus turn right. The P+R is on the right. MUIDE (50 spaces) Free parking: line 6, Pauwstraat 10, 9000 Gent From R4, direction N424/N456. P+R is situated just after the roundabout, along the Pauwstraat. MOSCOU (15 spaces): lines 4, N4 WONDELGEM (46 spaces) Free parking: lines 1, N1 Liefkensstraat 39-45, 9032 Wondelgem From R4, at the Wondelgem exit.

4 MAALTEBRUGGEPARK (40 spaces) Free parking: line 1, 76, 77, 78, N1, N76, Maaltebruggepark, 9000 Gent From N43 (Kortrijksesteenweg), take exit R4 at Maalte/Don Bosco. P+R on the right. From R4 Outer ring, take exit N43. The P+R is on the left. MARIAKERKE POST (25 spaces) Free parking and bike stalls under the bridge: Lines 3 6, 9, N3, Brugsesteenweg, 9030 Mariakerke From R4, take exit N9 for Eeklo/Mariakerke. Follow Ghent (N9). After approx. 1 km, turn left in the direction of Mariakerke/Wondelgem. Then turn right over the bridge towards Mariakerke; the P+R is just over the bridge to the left. From Eeklo (N9): follow Ghent (N9). After approx. 1 km, turn left in the direction of Mariakerke/Wondelgem. Then turn right over the bridge towards Mariakerke; the P+R is just over the bridge to the left. GALVESTON (250 spaces) Pay parking (only with season ticket) BUS 55, 57, 58, Hurstweg 8, 9000 Ghent From R4 heading for Zelzate, exit right onto N456 (Zeeschipstraat). Just before Meulestedebrug turn right onto N458 (Wondelgemkaai-Wiedauwkaai). Just before the level crossing, turn right. From R4 heading for Eeklo-Ghent-N9-E40-E17, exit left onto N456 (Zeeschipstraat). Just before Meulestedebrug turn right onto N458 (Wondelgemkaai-Wiedauwkaai). Just before the level crossing, turn right. B-Parking at Sint-Pieter s station: In addition to the P+R options above, you can also use the underground parking facilities at Sint-Pieter s station. This car park has 1,580 spaces, including 47 spaces for people with a handicap, 9 Cambio spaces and 6 spaces for electric cars (with charging point). The station is served by all the lines to the city centre and the night lines N2, N4, N70 and N76. GPS coordinates for entrance to car park: ; Gent Sint-Denijslaan. The underground car park is directly accessible from the R4 around Ghent via the Valentin Vaerewyckweg and the Timicheg tunnel. This new road might not yet be included in all route planners and GPS devices. City car parks: Vrijdagmarkt car park Follow P1 Under the Vrijdagmarkt you will find 648 parking spaces, including 3 for people with a handicap. Reep car park Follow P2 This car park has room for 484 vehicles, and there are 3 parking spaces for people with a handicap. It also has 2 charging points for electric cars. Savaanstraat car park Follow P4 There are 588 spaces here, including 3 for people with a handicap. Sint-Michiels car park - Follow P7 This car park has 472 spaces, including 3 for people with a handicap. It has 2 charging points for electric cars. Ramen car park Follow P8 There are 280 spaces here, including 3 for people with a handicap. Sint-Pietersplein car park Follow P10 This car park has 700 spaces, including 3 for people with a handicap. It has 2 charging points for electric cars.

5 Car parks outside the city: Zuid car park Follow P3 This car park is situated under the Gent-Zuid shopping centre and the Woodrow Wilsonplein. There are 1,034 spaces, including 2 for people with a handicap. Kouter car park Follow P5 This car park has 425 spaces, including 8 spaces for people with a handicap and 1 with a charging point for electric cars. Center car park Follow P6 This car park is situated right next to the Veldstraat. It has 532 spaces. There are taxi ranks in the following locations: Drabstraat Sint-Jacobs Vlasmarkt The taxi places in Pakhuisstraat will not be available from 8 pm to pm because of the safety perimeter for the fireworks. Taxis will take you home safe and sound at an affordable rate. There is however no free parking in the underground car parks. Please note: a disability parking badge does not qualify you to park in places reserved for residents.
