4 Cycling The following cycling projects will improve the attractiveness of cycling both within March itself and out into the countryside. By creating a comprehensive network of quality cycle routes it is hoped that a significant increase in the numbers of people cycling can be achieved. The strategy will aim to ensure cycle improvements are in full compliance with LTN 2/08 standards. Any suggested scheme(s) arising from this study such as; reducing the height of the Peas Hill roundabout to improve visibility and improve safety, would then form part of this strategy. Cycle project C2 Route improvements between Neale-ade Community College and imblington will also deliver safety benefits through provision of a widened off-road cycleway, creating a safer crossing of the A141 and introducing solar-powered stud lights on the shared use path Produce and implement a car park management strategy for the station and areas surrounding the railway station. This scheme (PT4) would address existing safety issues relating to vehicles blocking back onto the Elm Rd level crossing. Project TC1 Town Centre improvements would seek to address identified safety issues. Speed restrictions on Twenty Foot Road junction with A141. Scheme could include moving parapet to improve visibility and safety for pedestrians. Reduce the speed limit on this road from 40mph to 30mph.
