1 HIGH HOOL TATE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF GENERAL INFORMATION PARKING Parking will be available in specific parking lots near Rice-Eccles tadium with the exception of the LD Institute lot located to the outheast of the Huntsman enter. A parking map will be supplied to the UHAA and the high schools. Please check the Huntsman enter website at or the high school s website for the parking map which will show designated parking lots. Please do not park in lots which have been specifically prohibited from high school football playoffs parking. They will be identified by signage. VIP PARKING VIP parking will be in a designated area in the parking lot located west of Rice-Eccles tadium. There will be bike barricades surrounding the designated area. There are 75 stalls available per each semi-final game and 100 stalls for each final game. Each high school will be provided a designated amount of VIP parking passes by UHAA. These parking passes will allow administration and other VIPs to park in these designated stall. The designated parking area will be controlled by a University Parking Attendant dressed in a bright yellow shirt. TRAX / FRONTRUNNER Transportation to Rice-Eccles tadium on TRAX and FrontRunner is encouraged as there is limited parking available around the tadium. A ticket purchased at participating high schools or a ticket purchased online will also serve as pre-paid fare on TRAX or FrontRunner to the tadium. Present your ticket to the train attendant when asked to present proof of paid fare. It is not necessary to purchase a ticket to ride TRAX or FrontRunner if you have your ticket to the event with you. 1
2 TEAM BU PARKING Busses will be allowed to drop players and coaches off on 500 outh on the south side of the tadium. This road can be reached driving westbound on 500 outh from Guardsman ay. The busses will park next to the curb inside the barricades in the lane closest to the tadium as designated by the parking signs and marquees. ADA DROP OFF Guests with disabilities or problems with mobility may be dropped off on the southwest side of Rice-Eccles tadium near the ADA Entrance at Gate. ADA parking will be available in the west parking lot on a first come first serve basis only. No additional ADA stalls will be provided. ADA parking is available in the surrounding parking lots designated for High chool tate Football Playoffs. Please check the Rice- Eccles tadium website for the parking map which will be provided. ADA EATING ADA seating is available for guests in several sections located next to the portals just off of the oncourse inside the tadium. heelchair seating is available in the platform areas at these locations inside the portals. It is also located at the top of specific sections on Level 3 at the top of bowl. ADA companion seating is located next to the wheelchair seating. ADA seating is not allowed on the Field. trollers are not allowed in the ADA areas of the tadium. These areas are specifically designated for wheelchairs. TUDENT/GENERAL PUBLI EATING Home team student seating is located in the red seats on the East side of the tadium. Home team students and ticket holders should enter through Gate L located on the southeast corner of the tadium. Visiting team student seating is located in the red seats on the est side of the tadium. Visiting team students and ticket holders should enter through Gate A located on the southwest corner of the tadium. 2
3 BAND EATING Home team band seating is located in ection E39, Rows Visiting team band seating is located in ection 9, Rows Power will be provided at both locations if needed. 4 three, $1, for four or more occurrences. $1, will be the maximum charge even if there are more than four occurrences. ELEVATOR POLIY The elevator will be available for Tower guests and guests with mobility issues. If a family has saved a seat for a family member with mobility issues near the top of the bowl we will allow that guest and an escort to take the elevator at Gate on the southwest side of the tadium to Level 3 at the top of the bowl to be escorted to their seat in the stands uite ticket holders or staff with credentials that allow them to the uites or Operations level may use the elevators located at Gate on the southwest side of the tadium to their correct level. All ticket holders with disabilities will be allowed to use the elevator. An Usher will be located at Gate and can assist the guest or student in calling the elevator. TEAM ENTRANE All Field Passes must be visible at all times. The Home and Visiting teams will enter the building at ervice Gate 4 located on the southeast side of the tadium. The busses will be allowed to park in the designated bus parking in the north lane closest to the tadium heading westbound. All busses must access the parking and drop off area from the westbound lanes on the south side of the tadium. A map will be provided to UHAA showing the team entrance. The Home and Visiting teams will proceed down the east ramp to the field and then to the locker rooms located in the outh Building on the outh side of the Field. LOKER ROOM The Home team locker room is located down the hallway on the East side of the outh Building. The Visiting team locker room is located down the hallway on the est side of the outh Building. The locker rooms will need to be vacated by the teams during halftime of every game for cleaning purposes. The locker rooms will need to be vacated by the teams during halftime of the 11am, 2:30pm, and 6pm games so that the teams for the next game can enter the locker room before their games. The University of Utah facility staff will start locker room clean-up after halftime at the 6pm game. 4
5 TEAM BENHE The Home team bench is located on the East side of the Field. The Visiting team bench is located on the est side of the Field. TEAM VIDEO The Home and Visiting team video areas are located on the top of the outh Building tands just under the scoreboard on either side of the TV camera and at the top of the est side bowl on Row 64 at the 50 yard line. No team video will be allowed in the Press Box or Operations Booths or uites in the Tower area of the tadium. OAHE BOOTH The Home and Visiting Team oaches Booths are located on Level 6 in the Tower. The Home Team oaches Booth is uite 612. The Visiting Team oaches Booth is uite 606. oaches can take the elevator on the outh side at Gate to Level 6. oaches must identify themselves to the landing Usher on Level 6 and be dressed in clothing affiliated with their High chool in order to gain access to this level. IDELINE EQUIPMENT No heaters of any kind will be allowed on the sideline. oolers, ice, water, individual water bottles and cups must be provided by the Home and Visiting Teams. oaches headset must be provided by the Home & Visiting Team equipment staff. hains, Down & Distance Markers and End Zone Pylons will be provided by Rice-Eccles tadium. UHAA will provide the sideline crew to operate the chains and down markers. OFFIIAL LOKER ROOM The Officials Locker Room is located next to the Visiting Team hallway to their Locker Rooms on the est side of the outh Building. There are lockers, a restroom and a shower located inside the official s locker room. There will be a clip-on mic with extra batteries on a table inside the Officials Locker Room. The lead official will need to follow the instructions on the paper and put the clip on mic on prior to each game. 5
6 There will be an official s mic check at the 50 yard line with 30 minutes on the clock. HEER & DRILL All cheer and drill team members must enter with a ticket through the public entrance gates and then come down to the Field via the ramps located on the east and west sides on the south side of the Field. Home and visiting team cheerleaders will be allowed to stand to the outh of the team box on the East and est sides of the Field in front of the student sections. There is not enough room for the cheerleaders to stand behind the team box at the 50 yard line so they will need to stand behind the white dotted line south of the team box. Only fourteen (14) cheerleaders plus a mascot are allowed to be up and cheering at a time. Additional cheerleaders will sit along the back wall and will be able to rotate in and out. One (1) coach is allowed on the field at a time. No props are allowed. This includes item such as, boxes to stand on, artificial noise makers, (see attached list of restricted items). heerleaders may place their coats, jackets & bags on the Field next to the wall on their respective sides. The Home Team Drill Team may change in the omen s restroom located on the east side of the outh Building just off the Field Level. The Visiting Team Drill Team may change in the Visiting Team Press onference Room located on the west side of the outh Building just off of the Field level. Drill teams will enter the Field for their performances from the East or est Ramps on the south side of the Field. Music for drill team halftime performances should be taken to the ound Booth located on Level 6 at the north end of the floor in uite 619. Drill & heer oaches may take the elevator located on the southwest side of the tadium at Gate to Level 6. Drill & heer oaches who come to drop off music must identify themselves to the landing Usher at Level 6 and be wearing clothing affiliated with their High chool in order to gain access to this level. NATIONAL ANTHEM 1 ordless mic will be provided for the singing of the National Anthem regardless of the size of the group. There will be a mic check on the east sideline at the 50 yard line at 20:00 minutes on the countdown clock. A representative from UHAA will be in charge of the mic and will que the singers at the appropriate time prior to the beginning of the game. 6
7 If there are no singers then the Home Team Pep Band will play the anthem. If they decline then a pre-recorded version will be played by the tadium. OUND BOOTH The ound Booth is uite 619. heer and Drill oaches/advisors can take the elevator on the outh side at Gate to Level 6. oaches/advisors must identify themselves to the landing Usher on Level 6 and be dressed in clothing affiliated with their High chool in order to gain access to this level. RADIO BOOTH KFAN has exclusive radio broadcast rights for all areas within their broadcast range. They will use uite 611 for broadcasting. If teams from areas outside of the KFAN broadcast region have their own local radio broadcasting affiliation they will be allowed to broadcast their team s game. Home team radio is located in uite 614. Visiting Team radio is located in uite 605B. To obtain telephone lines the radio broadcast affiliation can contact Kristy Holt at Rice-Eccles tadium. UITE UHAA will receive five uites Level 5 and two suites for their use on Level 6. Level 5 uites 508, 509 & 510 are for UHAA VIP Guests. uite 506 is for the Visiting Team Administration and uite 511 is for the Home Team Administration. Tickets will be distributed for these uites by the tadium. Level 6 uites are 604 & 616 and will be used for UHAA operations only. TIKET OFFIE The ticket office is located on the southwest side of the tadium. All of the outside ticket windows will be open for sales, Tickets will be sold on-site from 1 hour prior to the start of the first game through halftime of the last game each day of the playoffs. ash or debit/credit cards only will be accepted for payment on-site. There will be a $1.00 fee issued per ticket when using a credit / debit card for payment. There is an ATM located just outside the ticket office inside lobby. 7
8 ONLINE / FLAH TIKET Online / Flash tickets are available for purchase on utahtickets.com. A link will be provided on the UHAA website as well as on the Rice- Eccles tadium website. The online tickets will be sent to you via and you must present the flash code on your mobile device at a specific gate at Gates A & L entrances. Online / Flash tickets can be used as a ticket for fare on TRAX / FrontRunner to the tadium for the playoffs. Just show the online code on your mobile device as your fare for transportation. RE-ENTRY PROEDURE If a ticket holder wishes to leave the tadium and come back in at a later time they will need to proceed to Gates A & L located at the southeast and southwest entrances of the venue. The Usher will then issue them a re-entry pass with the time written on the pass in which the ticket holder received the pass. The ticket holder must return to the tadium within 30 minutes after the re-entry pass has been issued or they will not be allowed to re-enter the tadium. The ticket holder must show their ticket as well as the re-entry pass to gain access to the tadium. Ticket holders are welcome to stay for all of the games once they have purchased a ticket. FIELD AE For Liability purposes, it is the policy of the University of Utah that no one under the grade of 9 th grade can be on the field or inside of the locker room facilities at any time. 8
