1 Dynamic Dailies Volume 3. Issue 6 February/March 2017 We re on the web! dynamicathleticcenter.org Inside this issue: Swing into Spring Volunteers Friendly Reminders 1 Recreational Gym 2 Fitness 2 ALL Preschool 2 Cheer 3 Dance 3 Wiggle Worms 3 Team Gymnastics- Hotshots and Xcel Pro-Shop Active Life Learning 5 3 Preschool Swing into Spring 5 DYNA session MITE We have the honor of hosting Eastern Sectionals for Level 2, 3, and 4 Girls on April 1st. No joke! We have just under 200 gymnasts competing, and we ll be able to get the entire meet done in one day! We still have needs for VOLUNTEERS to help out in areas of set-up, decorations, raffle and flower sales, timers/ribbon staplers on events, and tear-down. If you have a child in a recreational class who is interested in joining team, this is a great opportunity to see how meets are run and get a feel for team gymnastics. Team parents, we need you too. Donating time for any of those positions will get you into the meet for FREE! ONLY PEOPLE SIGNED UP IN THE BOOK will be admitted for free. We won t be letting people in to volunteer the day of the competitions unless their names are in the book. With so many people coming and going, we thank you in advance for understanding and working with us. Please be sure to sign-up family members that will also be helping. Our Volunteer Book is located at the Front Desk, so be sure to stop in and sign-up at drop-off or pick-up. In addition, we also need people to donate full raffle baskets or items to include in raffle baskets for both boys and girls. Please bring these items to the front desk by THURSDAY, MARCH 30th. Please note, donating raffle items does not get you in to the meet for free. It s just a fun way to make the meet memorable for the kids. Our volunteer coordinator is Aleata Williams, and you can contact her with questions at aleatawilliams01@gmail.com. Please sign-up today at the front desk! Volunteers, please show up 15 minutes prior to the session you are working, and go to our Volunteer Room located upstairs to meet with Aleata for instructions. For final session times, please see page 5. Friendly Reminders TAKE NOTE: Don t forget to book your SPRING Birthday Parties with us! OPEN GYM now has TWO times on Saturdays! 9:30-11:30 am & 12:00-2:00 p.m Cost is $10 /session. Preschool Open Gym is M & F from am. No open gym the week of April 3. Children need to wait in the vestibule for their rides. Please remember, the loading zone in front of the doors is for drop-off/pick-up only. Please no idling cars and drive slowly through the parking lot. In this winter season, please keep your child home if they have had a fever or vomited/diarrhea in the last 24 hours. Be sure to check and make sure your child brings their own things home. If they accidently bring something else home, please be courteous and return it. 3 Volume 3. Issue 6 Page 3 Cheer Dynamic's All Star Senior team took first place in their division at the Lilac Starz Cheer Competition on February 18th, and the Junior All Star team took 2nd place in their division. Congrats to the All Star cheerleaders on all of their hard work! In addition, our All Star cheerleaders marched in the St. Patrick's Day parade They hope to attend UCA's Northwest Championships on Saturday, March 18th. You can also see them perform at the Earth Day event in Riverfront Park on April 22nd, and then again, in the Jr. Lilac Parade on May 13th. Come show your support! Dance In perhaps a vain attempt to leave winter behind, March's theme for our Preschool and Beginning Dance program is "Dancing in the Garden." The creative movements of mice, lady bugs, grasshoppers, worms, and butterflies will all be considered this month! The dancers in all of the rec dance classes are hard at work learning new choreography, much of which will be performed at the end-of-the-year show, including "One Dance," an ensemble piece that all of the beginning Ballet classes are learning. "One Dance" was a song originally written and recorded for the Disney movie Little Mermaid about Ariel's dream of dancing on land with her prince someday. "One Dance" was ultimately cut from the movie, but come see our performance of the song at the end of the year show in June! Our Cheer team and dancers marching in the St. Patty s Day Parade last weekend! Pre-K Gym Wiggle Worms Last month, the animals ran the preschool gym! Actually there was an animal theme! From Flamingo holds.... to Rolly Polly Bug Roles... We love our little animals! Slithering Snakes... and Skin the Cat...
