2 Welcome to Relay! Thank you for participating in this year s Relay For Life of Dolgeville! We have 3 different routes for walking or cruisin at Relay: The short cruise for the Survivor & Caregiver laps will be from the gazebo, down Cramer Lane, left onto Main Street, then follow the sidewalk in front of the school and back to Cramer Lane. The Long cruise go down Cramer Lane, turn left onto Main Street, turn left at Brix Pizzeria onto Elm Street, turn left onto Baker Street, then left onto Helmer Ave, back up to turning left onto Cramer Lane The Medium cruise take a right on Main Street and walk past the Car Wash, turn right onto Helmer, right onto Cramer Lane Have a Question? Anyone wearing a Turquoise Relay For Life shirt will be happy to help! Logistics All American Cancer Society Reay For Life evets are SMOKE FREE and ALCOHOL FREE. Campsite needs: Tents, lawn chairs, flashlights, lanterns, bug spray, tools (scissors, tape, rope). Campsites can be set up any time after 5pm Friday June 16th. There will be NO security Friday night. Port-A-Johns available Children must have adult supervision at all times.

3 Things to bring: Snacks, drinks, coolers, paper towels, trash bags for your site, $$$$$. Sunscreen, hats/visors, umbrella, small first aid kit. Please leave your Pets at home. Can Bring: gas grills (please bring fire extinguisher), strollers, wagons, folding tables Can NOT bring: No open fires, squirt guns, water balloons Parking is available on the ball fields off Helmer Ave Please Recycle. HAVE FUN!!!! Team Captain Meeting Saturday 10:30 pm All Team Captains are asked to report to the Luminary Tent at this time ACS

4 Luminary Ceremony 7:00pm- begin filling and staging bags around the walk area Please space the bags evenly around the walking path. When placing the candle in the bags be sure the wick is up so it is easier to light. Bring AIM lighters! Bring Wagons and a scoop for the sand laundry detergent lids or dixie cups work great for this 8:45 pm Begin lighting your candles 9:00pm- Our ceremony will begin. Join us at the Gazebo for prayers, songs, and special guests. Silence Please! During this time, please be respectful of the ceremony. No loud noises, music, or other distractions. After the ceremony at the Gazebo is complete, we will all walk a silent lap. Closing Ceremony Join us on Tuesday, June 20 th, at 6 pm at Bill Reynolds house (33 Howard Street) for our Closing Ceremony and Wrap-up Party! We ll have food and drinks, give out awards, fundraising totals, and recognize our sponsors. Bring your friends & family and let s celebrate all we ve accomplished!

5 Inclement Weather Plan Weather is monitored by ACS and Committee members Announcements will be made on PA system and specific instructions will be broadcast Participants have two options: 1. Take shelter in your car 2. Dolgeville Fire Department Committee members will aid participants and guide them to the Fire Department Captains are asked to ensure their sites are completely evacuated. Please take a head count! Please monitor your team. Restrooms will be available at the Fire Department for use during any weather delay. Once the all clear is given, teams may return to their sites.
