10 NOMINATED TEAMS The team competition consists of teams comprised of either three or four rider/mount combinations. The highest scores achieved by the top three riders in each team are added together to obtain the team score. Team members can be riding at any level. The team with the highest combined score is considered the winner, and will be awarded medals. 11 RIDING TO MUSIC INDIVIDUAL FREESTYLES We have on offer, classes which involve riding a test designed by the riders, and ridden to music of their choice. Riders are required to include specific compulsory movements, and tests have to be of a certain length in time. Preparatory freestyle tests These tests will be ridden according to the regulations set out in the attached version developed in 2009 for the Margaret River Dressage Spectacular. Preliminary freestyle tests These tests will be ridden according to the regulations set out in the EFA Novice Freestyle test However, all trot work can be executed sitting or rising, trot circles should be between 10 m to 15 m in diameter, canter circles between 15 m and 20 m in diameter, and no lengthened strides are required in either trot or canter work. Novice, Elementary, Medium, Advanced and Intermediate I freestyle tests All other tests will be ridden according to the regulations in the EFA or FEI freestyle tests (2008 or latest editions). PAIRS FREESTYLES (PAS DE DEUX) These tests will be ridden according to the regulations set out in the PCAWA Pas de Deux 2006 test available on the PCAWA website. HI POINTS AWARDS There will be three Hi Points Awards Hi Point Associate Junior Rider (rider age 16 years or under), Hi Point Associate Senior Rider (rider age 17 years and over) and Hi Point Official Rider. To be considered for the Hi Points awards, riders have to ride a minimum of two tests, at least one of which has to be a music test (individual freestyle or Pas de Deux). Awards will be calculated as per EWA scoring recommendations. TEAMS There will be a team competition. Teams will be comprised of either three or four riders. Conditions of Entry 1. Eligibility of Official Competitor riders must be a financial member of EA. An Official Competitor member is permitted to compete at all levels of the sport. Horses and Ponies must
