2 Story Telling Competition Time and Venue Date : Saturday, 19th of December 2015 Time : WIB WIB Venue : Center Court Mal Ciputra Jl. S.Parman, Grogol, Jakarta Barat Contestant The Contestants have to be representatives from school. Students from SMA/SMK/MA or of the same level.

3 Story Telling Competition The Theme of this Story Telling Competition is A Journey To The Disney World 1. The Magical Journey To The World of Disney should consist of : - The Author of the Story - The Moral Value of the Story 2. Each Contestant will be given 7 minutes of presentation. 3. All contestant will speak on the same platform or area designated by the committee. The contestant may speak in any position within the designated area.

4 General Procedures 1. Every contestant must register ad submit the story title and student id card to the committee within registration time and will be presenting different story title. 2. Every contestant must do a re-registration process on the competition day : Saturday, 19th of December 2015 At AM 3. Contestant that do not do the re-registration process during the designated time will be automatically disqualified.

5 General Procedures 4. Every contestant have to be ready on the backstage at least 30 minutes before. The contestant will be called 2(two) times by the MC to be present at the stage. If the contestant do not present at the stage after that, he/she will be automatically disqualified. 5. Before the contest, every contestant will be briefed in Technical meeting which will be held today, on Tuesday, 15th of December 2015.

6 General Procedures 6. The contestant that re absent will be given the same information as this. 7. If the contestant is absent from the technical meeting, the officer will be taking the perform number in stead of the contestant. 8. Every contestant will perform according to the perform number. Any resignation from the competition will make the perform number becoming not valid, and the next contestant will automatically perform earlier.

7 General Procedures 9. Master of Ceremony (MC) will be introducing each contestant as of Contestant Name, School Name and Story Title. 10. Contestant must use appropriate costume and language. 11. Contestant must not use properties that is harmful and will litter the stage and must not bring any notes. 12. The decision made from the judges are FINAL and may not be disturbed. 13. Every contestant understand and agree to be abide by the rules and regulations of the competition.

8 Timing of the Presentation 1. Story telling presentation will be 3 to 7 minutes. The contestant s score will get deduction points of 30 from total score if the presentation is less than 3 minutes or more than 7 minutes. 2. The contestant will be given 1 minutes of preparation out of 7 minutes presentation. 3. Upon being introduced, the contestant should proceed immediately to speaking position. Timing will begin when the contestant carries out verbal or non verbal communication with audiences. This will be usually the first word utter by the contestant.

9 Timing of the Presentation 4. Timer shall provide warning signal lights to contestants which will be visible to the speaker, but not obviously visible to the audience. - The YELLOW SIGN will be displayed after 3 minutes. - The RED SIGN will be displayed after 6 minutes and will remain until the end of the presentation. - There will be no signal given for the overtime period. If the contestant has reached 7 minutes, the presentation will be cut by the MC or the Timer.

10 Judgement Criteria 1. Matter (50%) Grammar (Tenses, Structure) (20%) Vocabulary (20%) Content (Suitability, Value of the story) (10%) 2. Performance (50%) Stage Act (Eye contact, Interaction) (10%) Voice (Intonation, Dialect) (10%) Pronounciation (10%) Body Language (10%) Property (10%) The total scores of each judges is 100 points. Best Costume Judges will give a maximum of 100 points for each participant. So each participant will get a maximum of 300 points for The Best Costume. So the total score for each participants is 300 points.
