A detailed schedule will be announced in March) Venue: Yuen Long District Sports Association Jockey Club Complex (Address: No 8, Tai Yuk Road, Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong) Eligibility and Fee One person as an unit Category Target Fee Open Division Both local and non-local athletes $180/person Challenge Division Both local and non-local athletes $200/person Open Division is classified by gender and 14 age groups, totally 28 groups. 6-Year-Old or below Group (2012 or after born) 7-Year-Old Group (2011 born) 8-Year-Old Group (2010 born) 9-Year-Old Group (2009 born) 10-Year-Old Group (2008 born) 11-Year-Old Group (2007 born) 12-Year-Old Group (2006 born) 13-Year-Old Group (2005 born) 14-Year-Old Group (2004 born) 15-Year-Old Group (2003 born) 16-Year-Old Group (2002 born) 17-Year-Old Group (2001 born) 18 to 22-Year-Old Group (1996 to 2000 born) 23-Year-Old or above Group (1995 or before born) Challenge Division is classified by gender and 2 age groups, totally 4 groups. 15-Year-Old or below Group 16-Year-Old or above Group (2003 or after born) (2002 or before born)

2 Co- Events Open Division Challenge Division 30s Speed - Sprint 2min Speed Endurance Compulsory Freestyle Freestyle Performance Overall result will only be counted for those participants who have finished all of the above events Freestyle Battle* *The results of Freestyle Battle are separately counted and excluded from overall result. Awards a. Medal will be awarded to 1 st - 4 th place of single event in each group. b. Medal will be awarded to 1 st 4 th place of overall result in each group. (Overall result determined by the sum of rank from all events, the lowest rank score will be the winner) c. Champion of Freestyle Battle will be awarded a trophy. d. Same score leads to the same rank. e. If certificate is needed, each certificate charged $50 administrative fee (only one event can be printed on one certificate). 30s Speed Sprint Award Scheme Purpose: Provide a clearer target for participants in 30s Speed Sprint as well as an encouragement. Participants who have finished 30s Speed Sprint and achieved specific score will be awarded a certificate. Mail the cheque (Payable to Hong Kong Rope Skipping Academy Ltd.) to Office N, 17/F, Kings Wing Plaza 1, 3 On Kwan Street, Shek Mun, Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong. (Please write down the name of participant, HKID including the character and first 3 number as well as phone number at the back of cheque) 3. Foreign participants should fill in the online application form. Application fee are required to be submitted on competition date in registration counter, Cash is accepted. 4. If any submitted data is amended, only the latest one will be considered. 5. No refunds after application Special Conditions If there is adverse weather, for enquiries, please browse our website ( )or call two hours before the commencement of tournament. If Hong Kong Observatory issues Tropical Cyclone No.8 or above, or, Black Rainstorm Signal, the date tournament will be postponed and announced later. Hong Kong Rope Skipping Academy has the right of making final decision.

4 Co- Tournament Rules General Rules a. The results or scores of 30s speed Spirit, 2min Speed Endurance and Compulsory Freestyle are counted by judges from Hong Kong Rope Skipping Academy. b. Coaches from various clubs will be invited as Guest judges for judging Freestyle Performance and Freestyle Battle. c. The skipper(s) must remain still with no arm or rope movement before the BEEP sound is heard or the words You May Begin have been completely called out. Any movement before the announcement of these words has been completed or before the start of the BEEP sound constitutes a false start. If a false start is detected the judges do not stop the skippers but there will be a 5 point deduction from the skipper s raw score (capable in both speed events and compulsory freestyle). d. If the judge mentions TIME OUT, it represents rules violation. Score will not be counted until correcting the violation condition. Starting Events begin with the words, Judges ready? Skippers ready? Set followed by a short BEEP / You may begin. If there is false start, competition keeps continuing, Finishing Event finishes with BEEP sound. Attentions a. Participants must put on proper sportswear and shoes. b. No appeal will be accepted. The decision of judge on court will be final. c. Participants must prepare your own rope. d. Competition area will be at least 3 x 3 meter. Courts are clearly divided. e. Each participants can only join 1 category.

Single Speed Speed - Sprint a. Time Limit: 30 seconds b. The Speed Step* must be used. Judges count the right leg only. *Speed step: skip by right and left leg alternatively c. To complete as many speed steps as possible within the time limit. Single Speed Speed Endurance a. Time Limit: 2 minutes b. The Speed Step* must be used. Judges count the right leg only. *Speed step: skip by right and left leg alternatively c. To complete as many speed steps as possible within the time limit. Compulsory Freestyle a. Time Limit: 45 seconds b. To complete as higher score as possible by performing skills within 45 seconds c. Participants must choreograph a freestyle according to Table of Skills in the appendix. Demonstration video can be seen by browsing the following website ( / at the last page of this document Appendix 1. d. No music can be used. Soundtrack will be played for timing. e. Difficulty of skill is scored from 1 4. Judge will record skills performed. f. Replicated skills will not be marked. g. Marks will not be deducted due to mistakes.

7 Co- Freestyle Performance a. Time Limit: seconds, beyond the time limit regarded as disqualification. b. To complete as higher score as possible by performing a freestyle routine with music. c. The freestyle will be scored by 3 criterion including (1) Difficulty, (2) Originality of Skill and (3) Choreography. Each criteria weight 10 marks. d. Sum of marks from the aforementioned criterion deducting the mark of mistake will be the total mark (each mistake will carry out a deduction of 0.5 marks). Maximum is 30 marks. e. Upload the music (Only mp3 format is accepted) to server 1 week before competition day. Link will be announced soon. Please stay tuned. <<Freestyle Battle>> Eligibility: Top 8 of Freestyle Performance score will enter this event automatically. If more than 8 participants meet the above criteria, participants who are the same mark with lower mark will battle first. The winner can enter quarterfinals. a. System: 1 vs 1, 1 round (two rounds for Final), 30 seconds / round b. DJ will randomly play the music. Participants are required to perform a series of skills following the music. c. The order will be decided by turning Redbull bottle. d. Guest Judges decide the winner immediately by vote. Participants with higher number of vote will be the winner. e. Flow* : Quarterfinals (top 8) > Semi Finals (top 4)> Final *14 or below division will start from Semi Finals.
