1 Onyx Cheer Force All Star Cheer Thank you for your interest in Onyx Cheer Force All-Star Program. Our organization was founded in 2010, as a split from Fierce Cheer Inc. To date we have over 60 local and National wins that include 2 NCA nationals, 4 ACA Nationals, 4 Cheer Power Nationals, and host of other Nationals Wins and Recognitions. Onyx Cheer Force is in South Arlington at the borderline of Mansfield. The Physical address is 1121 Sturgeon Court Suite We are located off S. Cooper between Harris Rd. and Turner Warnell in the warehouse district nestled between the batting cage and enterprise car rental. We currently offer the following programs: Traditional All Star Teams, Prep Teams, Show Team, and Individual Performances. We have teams ranging from Levels 1-3, and are in the process of adding level 4 as several athletes also train for level 5 skills. Onyx Cheer Force provides one of the best training opportunities for small gym programs. Our teams are always highly competitive within their respective divisions. We pride the fact that we work delinquently to develop each individual. We teach our athletes to excel in all aspects of cheer, as well as promote progression. Our small gym success history illustrates our dedication and commitment to our cheer families as we have soared with very little.

All Star Teams practice 2-3 hours during the week and approximately 3 hours on the weekend and Prep Teams Practice approximately 2-3 during week or weekend. We expect 100% commitment and attendance from all athletes. The following dates are available for holidays and vacations throughout the year. Any Athlete that misses must pay for a private lesson to learn the material missed. ABSENCE POLICY Athletes are allowed up to 3 absences for family vacations during the months of May- September 4. These absences may be in conjunction with any of the listed breaks. Plan ahead, as additional absences will impact an athlete s placement on the teams.
4 Beginning September 5th, the only excused absence is a school function that results in a grade. All other absences are unexcused. This includes: Special Events, Traveling, School Social Events, and any other non-related school activities are unexcused. Absences are NOT allowed the weekend and week prior to a National Competition. An absence may result in the athlete being moved to an alternate position or pulled from an upcoming performance at the discretion of the coach. It is the responsibility of the athlete to learn any changes prior to practices. All absence requests must be requested a minimum of 1 week in advanced. YOU MUST an absence request, DO NOT VERBALLY INFORM a COACH or SEND a TEXT Chances are they will forget or the test is overlooked. This also includes all school activities for a grade. Please do not falsify school events as we can check. SICK ABSENCES You must attend practice when you are sick unless it s a fever or a virus. We can no longer make exceptions as it hurts us when athletes could have watched and picked up their parts. You will not be required to participate; however, you must be in attendance to learn anything new or pick up changes. In addition, you must provide a doctor s note with detailed information regarding the illness, treatment and length of recovery. This includes dental, medical and any other health related issue that would prohibit a student from participating. Extended sickness may risk an athlete s position as the team must adjust to carry on. INJURIES In the event that an athlete is injured outside the gym, we ask that you please notify your coach as soon as possible. Contact the Coach immediately and do not brush over. We will make changes with choreography prior to practicing. We will re-choreograph routines based on the person s injury and length of recovery. Once the individual has fully recovered, he or she may or may NOT be choreographed back into the routine. COMMUNICATION Most communication is set forth in monthly calendars and s. YOU MUST CHECK YOUR OFTEN! This season each team will have a select Head coach
5 and a team leader responsible for relaying information to the parents and you should only seek team information from these two people. Any questions or team related problems should first be addressed with the head coach. PRACTICE All practices are CLOSED. No more sit-ins to watch and athletes cannot arrive more than 15 minutes early unless requested and approved in advanced. When athletes are dropped off early, they will not be able to tumble or work skills as they are not being monitored; athletes will only be allowed to stretch, sit, and wait. Parents will be able to come in the last 15 minutes of practice but please do not bring guests or have loud discussions, as both are distractions. NO JEWELRY can be worn at practices, which includes all earrings, belly button rings, and necklaces. This is not simply for appearance sake, but for the safety to the one wearing the jewelry and for those either flying or basing who might be injured as a result. If athletes were jewelry that must be removed, we will not be responsible for those items. CELL PHONES will be turned OFF and collected during practice times. There is to be NO GUM whatsoever at practices or competitions. TATTOOS must be covered at all times! NO excessively long fingernails and only neutral colors will be allowed. NO videotaping of practices! Practice clothing must be worn as scheduled on the monthly calendars or athletes can wear ALL BLACK. Lost, misplaced or damaged clothing will be replaced at your expense. All late arrivals or out of dress will run after practice. CODE OF CONDUCT All athletes and parents must be a positive representative of the organization. Abusive behavior, lying, and or any other form of negative behavior are grounds for removal. We will not tolerate slander of other teams and programs, and we will always exhibit great sportsmanship. Avoid social media if athletes are caught doing anything inappropriate, this is grounds for removal. We cannot tolerate disrespect or cliques; which attempt to exclude or alienate certain members. Back talk and any other disrespect for instructors or teammates is unacceptable. Once warned, the athlete will sit out until the problem is solved.
