1 Nevada Men s Gymnastics Association Summer Meeting June 18, 2016 Meeting Minutes Meeting called to order at 12:21 p.m. by State Director, Tim Klempnauer, those present: 1. Review and Approve Minutes from last Board Meeting Motion: Approve the minutes from State Board Meeting 3/11/16. Motioned to approve minutes: Jon Harm Second: Pej Ebrahimi 3. Region 1 Board Meeting Recap Roger Baldwin stepping down as Regional Director Adam Lomax has been approved as Regional Director Matt Lowry to replace Adam as State Chairman. Region 1 Select Camp 9/30-10/02 Future Star 9/24-9/25 State Championships 3/ Select Camp 5/31 Regional Elite Team Meet- used to be top 6 guys at JO Nationals. (New) up to 3 guys from JO Nationals and what they see at Select Camp. Next 3 will be selected during next season. Attend the Azarian Team Cup if part of the Regional Elite Team Regional Judging clinic Changes in Future Star o 8 year olds 2M removed o Level 1 6&7 year old o No age bumping o Age as of May 31, 2017 Need someone to help with o packets at Regionals & Jo Nationals o Treasurer o T-shirts for JO Nationals 4. New JO Programs Junior Development Opts

2 6 skills, no element groups 8/9 (12-13) skills routine, 5 & dismounts no element group Rings- locked arm giants.2 bonus 5. Financials Review Keep meeting food allowance under $200 Jon Harms in charge of State Clinic at State Championships (paid position) Purchase banner from Vitaly Sherbo for State Championships every year All star uniforms o Charge $45- we make $5 o Anton Brady suggested selling used uniforms for $30.00 or rent for $15 All agreed to get jackets for athletes and hoodies for coaches. We will advertise to all kids. The sleeves of jackets will say: athlete, or parent or Coach Gather 1 check per gym 1 week prior to State meet MOTIONED: Jon SECOND: Nalani Pay $ towards athletes entry into JO Nationals. 6. Travel to summer meeting Discussed: TO PAY up to $ 200 for 1 coach per gym and 100% for State Board Members Motioned: Jon Harms Second: Denise Dalton Next State Meeting to be held in Floriston, June th When meeting goes back to Las Vegas get a vacation home so everyone can stay together 7. Club & Athlete Registration Date Club Registration due November 1 st Competition Schedule-all meets are on website except Jake Dalton Invitational 9. Updated Rules & Policies and Constitution 10. Updated State Championships Handbook- Tim and Denise will work on the Handbook as season progresses 11. Nevada State Future Star Events- Sept 24 th -25 th Las Vegas Sept 10 2:00 p.m.

3 12. Nevada State Championships 2017 Championship is at High Sierra Gymnastics, March 10-12th Will alternate North and South unless the bids are not good. Gymnasts t shirt gifts is recommended but not required. Create a simple bid form for State Meets if you want to host it. The bid should list the equipment, mats and should be of good quality. All bids for State Championships should be presented to the board 2 weeks prior to the State Championships Meeting. Everyone gets medal in AA for Level 4s. Should announce top 3 AA for level 4 s. After 10 in an age group then split into another age group until down to a single age. State Championship host should order extra gold and silver medals in case of a tie. If a tie then BOTH gymnasts receive that medal. Age groups are same as USAG Go out ½ in medals. If you pay for a banner you should get a banner. Division 1 and Division 2 each should have an over all for each level team award. You must enter $$ for each division, Level 4 s could be as much as $ Team awards are Division 1, Division 2 and Over all Division 1 & Overall Division 2. Medal ½ of all level 5 s. State Meet Host to print off a CVS File for Jon Harm to get uniforms ready. 13. State Uniforms Agreed to have jackets available to purchase with Athlete on the arms. Order Jackets December 1 st. All gymnasts can purchase them. Have one for the parents too with PARENT on arm Different jacket for the Coaches Each coach from NV gets a jacket. 1 check per gym to be turned in 1 week before State Meet. Checks made out to USAG. 14. Senior Gifts Dusty Ritter recommends that money donated go towards athletes that are going onto college continuing with their gymnastics. Every Senior will receive an award worth $100. (Possibly a nice watch with Nevada Logo on it)-laurie Satmary will get quotes. Every graduating Senior that is continuing their gymnastics career will receive $ MOTIONED: Pej SECOND: Jon 15. Letterman s Jacket for High School Athletes

4 16. Level 4 Table letterman s jacket until next year. 17. Website update-send info to Pej 18. Next years Summer Meeting To be held June 24 th -25 th at Tim Klempnaur s in Floriston 19. In absence of a quorum the board may conduct business of the association by voting on items of business and approving of the minutes.
