Best Drum Corps in each grade Best Bass Section overall Best Bass Section in Grade Three Drum Major 1st prize Best Novice Juvenile Pipe Band General Information i) The Contest will be conducted under the rules of the RSPBA ii) All Bands to provide one representative to act as liaison between themselves and contest secretary. Drum Majors and Bands must register on arrival. iii) Draw for order of play will take place in Turriff Pipe Band Hall, Cheyne s Lane, 7.30pm tba. All competing bands are entitled to have 1 representative present at the draw. No draw number or starting time will be given by telephone. iv) Lower Grade Bands may play up one grade if time permits. Entry fee to be enclosed with initial entry form ( cheques made payable to TURRIFF & DISTRICT PIPE BAND, Draw will be posted on Branch Website: v) Contest start at 12.00noon prompt with Grade 4 followed by 3, 2 and 1. vi) Bands not ready to play at the appropriate time may be disqualified. vii) All Bands to take part in the Massed Bands ( Weather permitting) viii) All trophies to be signed for when received and returned on or before the 30 th June Note: All trophies from last year s competition must be returned before the 30 th June 2015 to Turriff & District Pipe Band c//o Scotch Corner, 20 Main Street, Turriff, AB53 4AD, tel: Failure to do so means that any entry will be excluded for the contest draw. Additionally, in accordance with the rules of The Company, a fine may be levied by The Directors. 5 TURRIFF & DISTRCIT PIPE BAND PROMOTORS OF TURRIFF PIPE BAND COMPETITION SUNDAY 2 ND AUGUST 2015 IN TURRIFF SHOWGROUND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO BANDSMEN/WOMEN AND BAND SUPORTERS 1. THIS YEAR S CONTEST WILL BE HELD IN A DIFFERENCT LOCATION IN THE SHOWGROUND, ALLOWING EASIER ACCESS FOR ALL CONCERNED WITH REGARDS PARKING AND ADMISSION. ALL COMPETITIORS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULDFOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR MAIN CAR PARK - FROM ALL APPROACHES TO TURRIFF. CONTEST BEGINS 12.00NOON. FOR THOSE ARRIVING LATER IN THE DAY, THERE IS A FERRYING SERVICE AVAILABLE IN THE FIELD TO BRING YOU CLOSER TO THE TUNING/COMPETITION AREAS. 2. BANDS SHOULD RETURN THE TEAR OFF SLIP(BELOW) WITH THEIR ENTRY FORMS REQUESTING PASSES FOR COMPETITING MEMBERS, CAR PASSES ( MAXIMUM OF 10 WILL BE ALLOCATED PER BAND), AND NUMBER OF DISCOUNTED ENTRY ADMISSIONS FOR BAND SUPPORTERS WHICH WILL BE HANDED OVER AT THE PAY BOOTH AND PAYMENT OF 10 MADE.. NAME OF BAND. NUMBER OF COMPETITOR PASSES REQUIRED.. CAR PASSES (MAX OF 10 WILL BE ISSUED) BAND SUPPORTER DISCOUNTED TICKETS...( 10 PAID AT ADMISSION GATE) NAME AND ADDRESS OF BAND SECRETARY
