2 Tigersharks Spring Level 2 & 3 Licensed Open Meet (Under ASA law and ASA technical rules) 17 th & 18 th March 2018 Promoters Conditions 1. The meet will be held under ASA Laws and Regulations and Technical Rules of Racing 2. All competitors must be registered with the ASA. 3. Entries may be held on a computer solely for the purposes of this competition and consent, as required by the Data Protection Act 1998, to the holding of personal information on computer will be deemed to have been given by the submission of the entry. Personal Data will be available for inspection during the Meet on application to the Promoters. 4. Age groups are based on ages at 18 th March A competitor may compete under the name of one club only. 6. Applications for entry must be correctly submitted by the specified date, Saturday 24 th February 2018, and on Sports System entry file for 5 swimmers or more. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the promoter, but not to the detriment of entries received on time. Entries received without payment will not be processed. 7. The promoter will limit the number of entries should the events be oversubscribed; the slowest entries in each of the relevant events & Levels will be rejected. Strictly no refunds on accepted entries. Entries into the Level 2 meet must be with times that currently show on the ASA Rankings (LC conversions apply). Level 3 entries do not need to show on the rankings database. 8. Age groups/events; 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15&OV. All events will be heat declared. 9. The heats will be seeded on entry times. All swimmers must have achieved times within the entry criteria applied in the attached table. 10. The first three in each age group in Level 2 meet will receive an award. This will include any swimmer entered as a Level 3 swimmer but achieves a 1,2,3 rd place in the Level 2 event. Any other Level 3 Swimmer swimming faster than the Level 3 QT will receive a speeding ticket. Level 2 swimmers finishing within the Level 3 times will not receive any awards. 11. Awards can be collected when results are posted. Swimmers who exceed the upper limit qualifying times will not receive an award but will be awarded speeding tickets. 12. Competitors must report to the marshals, one event before their own event. Failure to do so may mean exclusion from the event. 13. All starts will be at the deep end of the pool. All starts will be over the top, except backstroke races. 14. The entries will not be accepted without the purchase of a Coaches pass. COACHES are responsible for their swimmers at all time. 15. Warm up times. As listed in program details. Diving is only permitted in sprint lanes. Warm up procedures will be listed prior to the start of the meet. 16. Clubs are requested to supply a qualified Official for every 10 swimmers entered into the competition. However Tigersharks will not refuse entries from clubs who are unable to supply qualified Official s. 17. The promoter reserves the right to refuse admission to any competitor or spectator who displays or has previously displayed rude, aggressive or abusive behaviour. 18. Anyone wishing to use a devices capable of photography or video recording must take careful note of the information posters. The Tigersharks Open meet organisers will amend the rules where necessary following the advice of the Lead Referee, in the event of a situation out of our control and to ensure the meet runs smoothly. 20. The Referee s decision is final, subject to ASA Law. Note: The electronic timing is provisional and may be over ruled by the referee. Disabilities must be reported to the referee before the session of their event. A copy of their ASA certificate of permanent disability must be produced if requested. Failure to comply could result in disqualification from their events. Closing date for entries is midnight on Saturday 24th February Failure to return entries will result in swimmers being excluded from the event.
