SATURDAY/SUNDAY 9 th / 10 th DECEMBER 2017 VENUE: EVENTS: Springfield Leisure Centre, Beechfield Road, Corsham SN13 9DN Tel. no: ; 25m pool, 4 lanes, with electronic timing. Swim Shop in attendance. All events will be conducted in accordance with Swim England Rules & Technical Rules. Entries accepted up to a permitted maximum based on the times submitted. Confirmation of acceptance will be notified. Entries seeded into heats from times submitted, slowest heats to be swum first. Disabled swimmers are welcome: they will be integrated into the events. Should the event become oversubscribed, swimmers will be accepted in the order the entries (and payments) are received. TIMES: Saturday: Events 1-8 Afternoon session warm up 12:30pm, start time 1:30pm Events 9-15 Evening session warm up not before 4:30pm (subject to running time) Sunday: Events 1-8 Morning session warm up 9:00am, start time 10:00am Events 9-15 Afternoon session warm up not before 1:00pm (subject to running time) No admission to Leisure Centre before 8.30am. POOLSIDE: Only Coaches/Team Managers/Personal Attendants with a pass will be allowed on poolside during the Meet. Maximum of two passes per club per session. Anyone without a pass will be asked to leave the poolside. Passes can only be ordered in advance, at 10 per day or 15 for the weekend (including lunch), they cannot be purchased at the Meet. It is the responsibility of each club applying for poolside passes to ensure that all team managers and coaches are Swim England members and DBS checked. Where clubs wish to bring a large team and require additional passes to comply with the Swim England supervision guidelines, please contact the meet organiser. SWIMMERS: Coaches/team managers are responsible for the behaviour of their swimmers at all times. Swimmers must be supervised by their coach/team manager during the warm up periods. Swimmers must not change on poolside, in the spectator area or in the dry side changing rooms. Swimmers must use the dedicated swim changing rooms. Wet swimmers are not allowed in the spectator area. PROPERTY: Neither Corsham ASC nor Springfield Leisure Centre can be held responsible for loss or damage to spectators or competitors property. Competitors are requested to use the lockers in the changing rooms for all large bags and to only bring small bags poolside due to the room available. If large bags are brought poolside competitors/coaches will be asked to remove them. Competitors & coaches are requested not to leave belongings unattended. STEWARDING: It is the responsibility of Coaches/Team Managers to ensure that their competitors report to the stewards in time for the start of their race. AWARDS: OFFICIALS: The competitors placed 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each individual event in each age group will receive awards. Without sufficient licensed officials we will not be able to run this meet. We therefore request that all clubs provide us the name and contact details of at least one fully qualified official to support with officiating during the Meet. Drinks will be available for all officials and food will be provided for those officials who volunteer to work all day. Entries will not be rejected if clubs are not able to provide officials for the event.

2 ENTRIES 1. All competitors must be registered with Swim England as Category 2 members before entries close. 2. No faster than qualifying times apply to this competition. In order for the event to run smoothly, entries may be restricted; any entry not accepted due to the Promoter imposing a restriction on numbers will have the entry fee refunded in full. The closing date for entries is midnight on Wednesday 29 th November 2017 earlier if the event is full/oversubscribed. 3. Competitors diving into the pool must have reached the standard of the Swim England Competitive Start Award. Those who have not reached this standard must start in the water. 4. Electronic Entry is the preferred route. Entries made in this way must be in the format prescribed by the Promoter. Paper entries will be accepted. Corsham ASC does not accept any responsibility for electronic files that are entered incorrectly and will not make any changes to times or events entered for swimmers. 5. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or sent without the correct entry fee may be rejected, all entries must be made on the correct form. Note that entries will not be processed and accepted until payment has been received and cleared. 6. Entries for this Meet will be held on computer and as required by the Data Protection Act 1998 permission to hold such personal data will be deemed to have been given by the submission of an entry. 7. Refunds for rejected entries will be made to clubs at the Meet. Non-collected refunds will be made by direct bank transfer upon provision of the necessary details. There will be no refunds for withdrawals after the accepted/rejected entries have been published. Refunds for injuries will only be considered on production of a Doctor s note, and must be requested on or before the meet and will be paid at the Club s discretion. FEES: Competitor - 4 per swimmer per event Spectator - Entry by programme, 5 per day/ 3 per session on the day Coach pass - 10/day or 15/weekend (includes lunch); max 2 passes per club; to be purchased when submitting entry forms. ONE OVERALL CHEQUE, PAYABLE TO CORSHAM A.S.C., OR ONE BANK TRANSFER AGE GROUPS: AGE AS ON 10 th December Girls: 9, 10, 11/12, 13/14, 15+ Boys: 9, 10, 11/12, 13/14, 15+ MEDALS/ TROPHIES: Medals for 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd places in each age group excluding those who perform more than 5% quicker than the No faster than time, who will instead receive a speeding certificate. All events Heat Declared Winners. Overall awards for the best three in each age group (as above) will be decided by totalling points from each swimmer s best Sprint, Form, Medley and Freestyle races, ignoring any races in which a speeding ticket was awarded. Note: Sprint is 100m. Form is 200m Breaststroke, Backstroke or Butterfly. Medley is 200m IM. Freestyle is 200m Freestyle. Under Swim England child protection laws, we no longer monitor the use of devices capable of photography and video recording; however, we ask all spectators and swimmers to read the advice documents posted and provided, and ask that you take due care when taking photos or recording the events. Neither the promoters, nor Springfield Leisure Centre Management, accept liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings. The lead referee will allocate duties at the start of each session but if you have any preferences please note them below. Similarly, for those who require mentoring or practical sessions, please specify which roles you require and we will do our best to assist, as we actively promote the development of all officials within British Swimming.
