2 Reflok Unique Features Installing refrigeration and air-conditioning pipework using Reflok is significantly quicker than traditional brazed systems. The removal of the need to purge pipework with Nitrogen and waiting for pipework to come up to brazing temperature, added to a very quick jointing process, can cut install times by circa 20-40% Reflok joints are made using a compression system. This means that the installation engineers do not need to have oxygen or acetylene on the project. The removal of flames from site improves safety and productivity. Operatives installing pipework no longer need hot work permits or arrange fire watch periods. The design of the Reflok jointing system results in a joint that is as leak free as its possible to be. Provided it is assembled correctly Reflok helps reduce refrigerant losses which helps control the users costs and aids the industries desire to limit refrigerant losses. Basic training is required, but the process is simple and effective. The use of the Reflok jointing system will result in a reduction in costs. The largest cost for any installation is the cost of labour. By using Reflok, which is quicker, easier, cleaner and lighter, the cost for labour can be controlled. In addition expensive training courses for brazing and health and safety certification are no longer required. Reflok can be used with copper tube (subject to specific dimensional requirements) or is available as a system using Reflok Aluminium Refrigerant grade tube. Aluminium has been used in the refrigeration & air-conditioning market for decades. Its cheap, easy to bend, strong and environmentally more acceptable and sustainable than copper tube.

14 Tool Kits The tooling uses a handheld cordless power unit onto which jaws are placed. When the trigger is pulled on the tool the jaws are forced together. For tube ranging in size from 1/4 to 1.1/8 we supply a universal jaw into which clamps are inserted. For tube sized 1.3/8 and 1.5/8 dedicated jaws are available. The tooling is available as a basic started kit, handset only and a complete kit For tube sizes up to 1.1/8 select a pair of insert clamps of the correct size Offer the clamp up to the universal jaw and snap into place 14 Place the jaws onto the tool head They can be placed on top or side (as shown)
