Learn how to become a complete trout angler in the heart of the Catskills. Orvis Complete Trout School at West Branch Angler in Hancock NY. The Upper Delaware River System is indeed a fly fisherman's paradise. Steeped in the history of the earliest fly fishing in America, the Catskills is where it all began. The area offers many beautiful rivers to choose from; all offering excellent fish habitats, and featuring varied species to hone your angling skills. Whether you fish the West Branch, the East Branch, or the Main Delaware, you'll fall in love with our area and our fishery. West Branch Angler Resort's upscale log cabin accommodations are nestled in a sprawling 300-acre park like setting along a 2-mile private section of the West Branch of the Delaware River. Known as the Gateway to the Catskills, the surrounding mountain scenery and grounds are marvelous. Bigger and better than ever the West Branch Angler was completely renovated in 2007 with 12 new cabins and new amenities such as wireless internet access and a new pavilion. Whether you're fly fishing on the East's most productive wild trout fishery, shooting a round of

2 sporting clays or taking a riverside hike on one of our groomed trails, it's no wonder that the West Branch Angler is known as The Premier Outdoor Destination in the East, located only a few hours from the major metros of the Northeast. In this comprehensive school, you will have the opportunity to fish from drift boats or get out and wade for different species of trout, such as brown and rainbow. Learn how to catch trout in many different scenarios. You will learn how to fish with dry flies, nymphs, and streamers and learn how to read the water and select the right fly. The skills and memories you gain here will certainly last a lifetime. During this school you will have your own single occupancy cabin. If you would like to share a cabin arrangement can be made at West Branch Angler. Itinerary Arrival day at West Branch Angler: June 12 th 3:00 p.m. Guests should check in at 3:00 p.m. 6:30 p.m. Appetizers and cocktails. 7:00 p.m. Dinner/introduction and discussion of the class. Day One: June 13 th 7:00 a.m. Breakfast 8:30 a.m. Brief discussion of equipment (rod, reel, line). 9:15 a.m. Pick up and lay down cast. What a fly rod needs to do in order to work. 9:30 a.m. Students casting. 10:45 a.m. Return to the lodge. 11:00 a.m. Discussion on leaders and tippet, knots, and rigging for trout in a variety of situations.

3 12:00 p.m. Lunch. 1:00 p.m. Discussion on getting your line hand involved, shooting line, false casting, roll casting. 1:15 p.m. Students casting. 2:30 p.m. Videotape students casting. 3:00 p.m. Discussion on fish senses, fly selection, basic entomology. 4:00 p.m. Video analysis 4:30 p.m. Student walk to the river. Discussion on reading water, how to fish dry flies, wet flies, nymphs, and streamers. How and why you mend your line. 5:00 p.m. End of first day. Students are welcome to continue to fish until dinner. 6:30 p.m. Appetizers and cocktails. 7:00 p.m. Dinner - After dinner guests are welcome to fish and look for an evening hatch, but be prepared for an early start and two full days on the water. Day Two: June 14 th 7:30 a.m. Buffet breakfast. 8:00 a.m. Depart for full day of guided fishing and try out your new or refined skills. 12:00 p.m. Lunch served streamside. 4-6 p.m. Return to lodge. 6:30 p.m. Appetizers and cocktails. 7:00 p.m. Dinner Day Three: June 15 th 7:30 a.m. Buffet breakfast. 8:00 a.m. Depart for full day of guided fishing and try out your new or refined skills. 12:00 p.m. Lunch served streamside. 4-6 p.m. Return to lodge. 6:30 p.m. Appetizers and cocktails.

Unfortunately there are 2 Faulkener roads in Hancock ours is spelled Faulkener the other is Faulkner. Before leaving please verify the directions you get using services like Map Quest they may be wrong! From New York City: Take the Major Degan North to the New York Throughway (I-87). Take I-87 north to Exit 16 (Harriman Exit). Pay toll and travel west on Route 17. Approximately 5 miles past Exit 87 (Hancock Exit) watch for turn off for Hale Eddy. Go into left turn lane, and turn left off Route 17 and proceed across the Hale Eddy Bridge. Turn left just as you come off the bridge onto the dirt road (Faulkener Road). Take Faulkner Road 3/4 of a mile to West Branch Angler Resort. From Philadelphia, PA: Take the North East Turnpike Extension north to I-81. Take I-81 north to (Route 17). Take Route 17 east. Approximately 4 miles past Exit 84 (Deposit Exit), watch for the turn off for Hale Eddy. Turn right off of Route 17 and proceed across the Hale Eddy Bridge. Turn left just as you come off the bridge onto the dirt road (Faulkener Road). Take Faulkener Road 3/4 of a mile to West Branch Angler Resort. From Albany, NY: Take I-88 west to Exit 9 (Sydney Exit). Take Route 8 until the road ends. Turn left at the T, taking the on ramp up onto Route 17 East. Take Route 17 East for approximately 4 miles, and watch for the turn off for Hale Eddy. Turn right off of Route 17 and proceed across the Hale Eddy Bridge. Turn left just as you come off the bridge onto the dirt road (Faulkener Road). Take Faulkener Road 3/4 of a mile to West Branch Angler Resort. From Syracuse, NY: Take I-81 south to Route 17. Take Route 17/I-81 south to Route 17 east. Take Route 17 east. Take Route 17 East. Approximately 4 miles past Exit 84 (Deposit Exit), watch for the turn off for Hale Eddy. Turn right off of Route 17 and proceed across the Hale Eddy Bridge. Turn left just as you come off the bridge onto the dirt road (Faulkener Road). Take Faulkener Road 3/4 of a mile to West Branch Angler Resort. From Buffalo, NY: Go east on I-90 to I-690. Take I-690 east to I-81. Go south on I-81 to State Route 17. Take State Route 17 East. Take Route 17 east. Approximately 4 miles past Exit 84 (Deposit Exit), watch for the turn off for Hale Eddy. Turn right off of Route 17 and proceed across the Hale Eddy Bridge. Turn left just as you come off the bridge onto the dirt road (Faulkener Road). Take Faulkener Road 3/4 of a mile to West Branch Angler Resort.

5 From Baltimore, MD: Go north on I-83 to Pennsylvania. Head northwest on I-83 to I-81. Go north on I- 81 to New York. Go I-81 north to State Route 17. Take State Route 17 East. Approximately 4 miles past Exit 84 (Deposit Exit), watch for the turn off for Hale Eddy. Turn right off of Route 17 and proceed across the Hale Eddy Bridge. Turn left just as you come off the bridge onto the dirt road (Faulkener Road). Take Faulkener Road 3/4 of a mile to West Branch Angler Resort. From Boston, MA: Go south on I-93 to I-90. Take I-90 west to New York. Go northwest on I-90 to I-88. Go West on I-88 to Exit 9 (State Route 8). Take Route 8 until it ends. Turn left at the T, taking the on ramp up onto Route 17 East. Take Route 17 East for approximately 4 miles, and watch for the turn off for Hale Eddy. Turn right off of Route 17 and proceed across the Hale Eddy Bridge. Turn left just as you come off the bridge onto the dirt road (Faulkener Road). Take Faulkener Road 3/4 of a mile to West Branch Angler Resort. Weather and Equipment: In June you typically have warm days and cooler nights with highs in the 80 s and lows in the 50 s. Comfortable clothing as well as a light rain coat should be packed in your luggage. We recommend a hat polarized sunglasses and your favorite sunscreen and insect repellant if you have a favorite brand. 6 Terms and Conditions Planning information When your reservation is confirmed, you will receive planning information to guide you through trip preparations. Details about arrival and departure, clothing and equipment, trip cancellation insurance, preand post- trip extensions, visas and documents and activities are included in the planning information. Cancellation and Refund Policy Although cancellation fees may be higher for some trips, the following minimum cancellation fees will apply: Days Prior to Trip Fee + 90 days Full refund days 50% of cost 59 days or less 100% of cost Cancellation fees cannot be waived for any reason, including health, business or personal emergencies, or weather. We strongly urge you to purchase trip insurance. No refunds will be made for unused portions of a trip, including late arrival or early departure. Guide fees and hotel costs are not refundable if unused as outlined in the itinerary. Orvis reserves the right to modify an itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control. In the unlikely event that Orvis must cancel a tour, all payments received to date will be refunded, which constitutes a full settlement. Orvis is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation of any canceled trip, including airline tickets and visas fees. Cancellation Insurance Your planning information includes an application for travel insurance covering cancellation for medical reasons, trip delay, medical expenses, lost baggage and medical evacuation. We urge you to obtain this coverage. Share policies Trip prices are based on double occupancy. Single rooms & cabins are limited. If you request a single room, a single supplement will apply as noted in the itinerary. We will confirm the single room as early as

7 possible, but in some cases it may not be earlier than 30 days prior to the trip. If you request a roommate, we can usually pair you with another guest of the same gender, and no single supplement will apply. If you request a roommate, and one is not available, we will only charge you the single supplement if required by the lodge or facility used in the trip. Children under 18 must share a room with a parent or other family member. In some cases this may be waived. Passports and documents International trips require a passport. Check your passport early and make sure it has six months validity at the time of travel. A visa is needed in some countries and we will send you complete details and instructions. Arrival and Departure Group transfers from a central location such as an airport are described in the itinerary, and are included in the land cost. Transfers are not included in the land cost if you arrive early or leave after the scheduled departure day. Airline reservations The land cost of your trip does not include airfare. Limitation of liability This section defines Orvis Adventures responsibility with regard to all travel arrangements made by Orvis Travel, including individual travel and pre- and post- trip extensions. Please read it carefully. Upon sending your deposit to Orvis Adventures, you acknowledge that you have read and understand all the terms and conditions outlined here, and agree to be bound by them. All trips that involve outdoor sporting activities such as shooting or fishing, or travel through remote places by vehicle, boat, small plane or on foot, put you at risk for accidents and serious injuries in the normal course of the activity. That is the nature of travel to such destinations and you acknowledge that you accept these hazards as a condition of participation.

Baggage and personal effects, including items purchased, guns, fishing equipment or sporting goods are the sole responsibility of the owners at all times and no employee/agent of Orvis Adventures, its subsidiaries, affiliated or associated companies is authorized to accept these for storage, safekeeping, or transportation.
