2 WELCOME The Dacia World Club Trophy sits proudly in the trophy cabinet after the thrilling win over Cronulla Sharks back in February. This makes Wigan the only club to win the trophy on four occasions. A trip to Wembley in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final in August unfortunately led to a narrow defeat to Hull in a season when the team had to dig very deep due to the unprecedented number of injuries that we suffered. Dusted down and ready to fight another day the lads are smarting from not winning more in 2017 so in 2018 there will be no stone left unturned in bringing even more success to the club. The younger members of the squad got probably more game time than they would have expected at the start of the last season and have all gained immensely from their experience and that will stand them in good stead going into the new season. Off the field we welcome new partners Npower & Shearings to add a pair of heavyweight names to our portfolio of sponsors, we have re-signed 188BET as main partner and extended our deal with technical partner ERREA. Of course 2018 will see the club break new ground when we take the first ever Betfred Super League game for competition points outside of Europe, when we play Hull FC at WIN Stadium in Wollongong via the Clubs historic Destination and Tourism Partnership with Destination New South Wales, Destination Wollongong in collaboration with New South Wales government.
