1 Crosby s Seafood Company Current Market notes and for the week of Fishing Vessels (F/V) Trigger fish, Snowy grouper, and Golden Tile have all reopened effective January 1 st and the catch limit on B-liner Vermillion snapper has been raised up to 1,000 lbs. as well. This has significantly increased the local boat captain s ambition to get out fishing and we expect to see plenty of local production as long as weather permits it. The last shipment of Local Wreckfish is in!! The Oxbow had a great trip to end the Wreckfish season supplying us with adequate inventory to last 7 to 10 days and came in at a perfect time to help offset the current high priced grouper on the market. The local F/V Game On is currently at dock. They are hoping to get out fishing Sunday or Monday. The local F/V Charleston Star left the dock yesterday to target local swordfish and is expected back in Friday or Saturday. The local F/V Ellen Jean left the dock this morning to target local Swordfish and they are expected back in Saturday or Monday. The local F/V Still Fishing is still at dock. The boat is undergoing some very minor repairs. The local F/V Bonsai left the dock Tuesday to target more local bottom fish. They are expected back in some time Saturday. The Local F/V Seahawk is still at dock. Due to minor issues with both the crew and the boat, they currently have no departure date scheduled. The local F/V China Girl is still undergoing repairs. The boat owner has decided to do a complete overhaul and it is expecting to be ready by mid-march. The local F/V Miss Jane just landed yesterday with a catch of local Swordfish. They are expected to head back out Friday or Saturday and should be in Tuesday or Wednesday. The local F/V Oxbow had a great season and is done fishing until mid-april when Wreckfish season reopens. Notes Local Triggerfish, B-liners, Golden Tile, Wreckfish and Sword are all in and quality is absolutely stellar. Grouper production across the board, all species, has been extremely minimal. We expect to see very limited amounts of Grouper available on the market and they will be set at much higher prices. Last shipment of Local Wreckfish for the season has arrived!! Wreckfish season will not reopen until Mid-April typically producing our first shipment in the beginning of May. East coast Halibut is in and the quality is excellent! Lack of demand, due to fish prices being set so high, has led to decreased prices on the market. We expect to see prices to continue to drop in the upcoming weeks- months. Virginia s flounder trawling season has closed. The only current flounder production is out of North Carolina where currently most of the fishing vessels with flounder fishing permits are still shrimping due to higher profit. Production is currently extremely minimal and we have seen significant price increases as a result. We currently have plenty of Oysters from Virginia, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Canada (PEI). Sushi Grade Norwegian Salmon has been coming in 3 times a week to ensure the highest quality possible with prices maintaining a very consistent rate. PDF processed with CutePDF evaluation edition

2 Plenty of P.E.I. Mussels, Clams, and Fancy Fresh Sea Scallops available with shipments coming in 3 times a week to ensure the up most quality. Local crabmeat production has shutdown. We are hoping to see Alabama to start producing crabmeat in the next few weeks. As of now however, production has not begun. Rainbow Red Trout out of Idaho are in. We brought this product in to try them out a few months back and all of the customers who have tried this product, have all loved it. Be sure to get yours while supplies last. The local North Carolina oysters Savage Inlets have been coming in steadily and we hope to see production maintain a very steady rate. The local North Carolina oysters Devil Shoals will not be in production until the end of February or beginning of March. Here is a great way to stay up to date with all the latest landing percentages, openings, and closures. Although it doesn t get updates as often as it should, it will provide you with a better understanding of what species are open in our local fishery and what these Local Boats will be able to target.
